The context to this song makes it even more interesting. Taylor momsen was a child actor who grew up around the hollywood lifestyle and acting (the grinch who stole christmas/gossip girl etc). Although this was never her choice and not what she wanted, she always wanted to front a band. When she was around 16/17 (i think) she took her own independance and quit acting and formed her own band. This song was the bands first release and is taylor basically venting about how unhappy she was in acting and the lifstyle that come with it. Shown in lyrics such as "but everything looks better, when the sun (sunset boulevard) goes down", "taste me, drink my soul. Show me all the things that i shouldn't know" (i imagine she was quite privy to all the hidden sides to hollywood and the stuff regular people do not see, take the epstein stuff for an example). "you make me wanna die, i'll never be good enough" (showing how unhappy she was in the lifestyle, maybe literally or metaphorically bringing on extreme negative feelings. Also the reality that no matter how much she tries, she would never fit into the life/cliques that come with being part of hollywood). Brilliant song this and tells a story, if not directly. I actually think TPR have got better with time though and as taylor has grown up, so i would definately recommend some off there newest album And so i went 25 (unplugged version) Death by rock and roll Witches burn. She was 16 when they filmed this in the UK. They had to recall the clip and edit it because in the US, they showed "too much." and thus, the ending has those flares to cover her. She really WAS naked. She's been hardcore her entire career.

Great Band, and Taylor has such a unique and amazing voice. Watched them several times live, fantastic live shows, but that’s also the downside of The Pretty Reckless, they are touring so much it takes ages for a new album to get released.
I gave a view...Taylor is a good front person, the band is talented, their vibe is a mix of Hard Rock and Blues, though seeing where Taylor goes when not with the band, seems like she would like to go harder, and the band would like to go more blues...though that is just impressions gathered from afar. Lots of radio playable songs that are catchy.
You might know her from her acting on Gossip Girl. They are an excellent band more hard rock than metal. The musicians are fantastic, veterans even this long ago. Taylor as others have noted was new to the game here but her talent is phenomenal. Yeah I'm a total fanboy sue me. Check Heaven Knows. No I'm not gonna tell you why.(Taylor Momsen is NOT Taylor Swift. It's an honest mistake. They kinda look alike and they have the same name.
