Theatre Women Belting & Mixing (E4 - D6) 

Hey, how's it going? I've been working on this for a while. I watched quite a lot of musicals/songs for this. I had it all, (clips, notes, etc) written down on "notes" (lol) I was like "editing's left now, the hard part is done!" but nooo Lots of additional content was added (and consistenly). I would do a few clips and then remember another one that wasn't included, so I will go and included it and so and so. But I'm really happy for how it turned out! It's the longest video I ever made!! When I was editing the counterpart of the video 2/3 years ago (Male belting) it was also January so it feels like a full circle! Lastly, I got the virus y'all! SO excited. My head hurted like hell and I was really weak. The last part was tough because it's quite high and my ears weren't so fond of those high frequencies. Luckily I didn't had any major symptom and I'm doing ok now! Anyways, I hope you guys like it! P.S: welcome 2022! (even tho I got covid within 2 weeks in) Let's hope for a great year 💜

Women's midbelts are heavenly. Always makes me wonder why high notes were much more coveted when they can sound like that.

Sam Pauly and Barrett Wilbert Weed always amaze me with how low their belting starts and how high and consistent it can be, despite feeling feeling tense and explosive throughout. It never sounds too easy for them, which I like. And yet their technique is great.

i always think abt that moment in the every little step documentary when they have a montage of a bunch of dancers trying to hit the crescendo in at the ballet and either being super shouty or just not trusting their voices at all. then mara comes in and does it pretty much perfectly. iconic moment!

Fascinating to hear the same notes hit by women in different registers (some lowering their voices, some touching the top of their range). This is a great video to hear the different voice types within the same pitch.

I know that sounds incredibly harsh, but without the vaccine, she's going around risking the lives of everyone around her, especially old people and people with HIV and other immunity diseases.
