Is it just me or is Marcus really starting to flourish in front of the camera? I’ve been watching the podcast for a while now, and it looks like Marcus is really getting more and more comfortable. Keep up these entertaining videos please cause this is what gets me through responding to emails.
If you haven't twirled through the old videos on Angel's channel yet, please do it! Her podcast with Marcus is too funny and their vlogs and skits...OMG. The entire Tanksley family is naturally hilarious.
@@KieshaDoubleU I don't have kids but told my close friend who I saw buying away her pain by giving her kids everything she said it's her money I said okay cool...after they were grown and ungrateful she came back to me and apologized and said she wished she listened...I applaud you for being aware of how you are raising your child!
i hope as we get to know her that won't be true, but it is a concern. This week at least we learned more about her job, and I liked to hear what she is passionate about.
I think the producers extended this episode to prove to viewers that the vetting process is thorough. And to show more in depth shots of the couples before the wedding and with their family/ friends. Given the debacle that was "he who shall not be named" last season, I can see the show doing some damage control by highlighting the disconnect between what participants say they want, who they are and their ability/ willingness to adapt.
I didn't think about this as a reason why, flushing out each match, but that's a great point! This episode seemed thorough in giving us a good idea of each matches personality. That being said, 3 hours is way too long for a premiere; it still felt like a stretch.
Melissa: do you think they're gonna make it? Kev: I thought we wait until the wedding day? Melissa: we had a wedding day Kev: I fell asleep a little bit 😂
I love that all the individuals are 30ish. I think their maturity would help their journey and hopefully produce a lot more successful couples at the end of the season
Nah, Myrla showed exactly why she is single. And I hated that she kept saying "I'm done with that whole life," at the Bachelorette party as if being married stops your life and you have to be boring. Gil likes to dance and have a good time and she's just boring. Her singleness at 34 is showing
I thought the same thing. I was like I can see why she’s single. If her being boring won’t do it, her spending habits will because he’s more conservative with money than she is.
Bao & Johnny ❤️ I love them! But also, doing MAFS is actually part of their need for control. They have decided now is the time for marriage and doing this show checks off that box.
I feel like there’s an idea that if someone is single at 34 they have 15 years of failed attempts to be in a relationship. I know people who didn’t desire relationships or start looking until they were 30+. They may have just watched their single friends struggle and thought ‘I’ll let experts do it for me.’ They may not necessarily be desperate or have had things not work out. (But idk. I don’t be watching the show. I just watch y’all 😂).
Just when I gave up on #MAFS the #TBTB starts up and I have to watch. Y’all really make the show interested. #MAFS should put you in their credits. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
It pays to be Patreon! But one thing I do know...Lifetime better stop playing in our faces with these 4 hour eps and only show ONE WEDDING. Instead of meeting the friends, I wish they did counseling with each person. Rachel's friend was so disrespectful!! "What if he's repulsed by you?" ..B&$@#!! You could see the light leave her eyes. Just sad. ❤🎬🏎😇🦋❤
I remember wanting to get married at 21, because all of my friends were either married or in a serious relationship, heading for marriage. Zack's not wrong to want to be married, I just hope he's willing to do whatever it takes to stay married. Thank y'all so much, for getting back to this show. It's the only reality show I watch, that doesn't involve singing. 🙂
Whenever the experts say they hope the couple will "balance each other out" that means they already know they messed up. Its not a good match and they know it! Someone is going to be hurt. But Gil will be alright. His DM is finna be POPPIN after decision day!
I’m so happy that y’all are back with the reviews! 🙌🏽🙌🏽 I don’t think it’s a red flag with Zack never being in love. I only say this because I was in a similar situation. Prior to my current relationship I had never been in love. I had dated plenty of men and actually had been in 3 relationships prior to meeting my boyfriend. I think a lot of people fall in love the “idea of being in love”. A red flag to me would be someone who’s been several relationships and felt like they were in love in every single one. I would question the genuineness 🤷🏽♀️
You have a point. I’ve ended a few relationships loving people but not being in love and I thoroughly believe it’s possible to have loved someone and never experienced being in love.
@@Nikki-ci5ze girl why are you triggered by me suggesting therapy for someone else? Therapy isn't an indication that one is broken. It's a process to help you work through whatever you want. I woulddare say most people have things they could use a trained professional to help them work through. The world would be a better place. Having a healthy attachment and using someone to make up for the fact that one didn't get all the love and attention the deserved as a child are two different things. Johnny is putting that on Bao and it's going to strain their marriage. This is the internet and you're free to disagree as you already have.
Poor little Amar was breaking my heart being so sicky! It’s the worst when babies are sick and there ain’t much to do for them. 💔❤️🩹 I know he’s probably better by now since I’m late to watch this but I’m still sending him lots of get well love! We need our little slumlord back to his normal rambunctious self.
@@nokuthula_q I don't even watch MAFS anymore. I used to watch it on Lifetime when they showed the season, but we're behind.I have cancelled my DStv. I just watch the Bald and the Beautiful reviews.
"Enough already; Give out a rose!" 😂 I ain't lying, Angel. I be looking at the clock, and it's still 45 minutes before the rose ceremony even start. I'm like 😤.
This review reminded me of being in business school and having a group presentation and each person was supposed to talk about a certain topic but none of it was quite cohesive because nobody really did the work, work lol 😆
During the holiday break I’ve been binge re-watching their reviews of the last two seasons of MAFS. I’m so amazed at the initial perception of some of the cast versus how they ended up feeling about them at the end.
I’m doing the same and thought the exact same thing. These predictions are way off but that’s just a testament to how time really tells the real story.
They showed the buildup to the wedding for the only African American couple, Michaela and Zack after the Unfiltered show. I knew most ppl would miss it, because after a 3 hour show most ppl are done. Lol🤣😂
I tuned in like an hour late and began folding clothes so watching so I ended up watching unfiltered and was shocked and confused when they immediately showed the black couples afterwards.
Zach's dad is physician and his mom is a lawyer. They probably have very high standards and he seems very influenced by them so Im worried about Michaela getting her heart broken.
Zach is an investment banker & he graduated from Duke University. At 25 he moved to Houston to find his wife!! I believe that Michaela being a realtor can deal with people of different economic levels. Being AA we pray that the Mother isn't bougie!!! I know that life my child is a lawyer with two master degrees and daughter in law is a doctor with MS degree in Neurobiology from Tulane!!! They are apart of "Jack & Jill". They are Morehouse & Spelman graduate- SpelHouse Wedding!!!
@@angeladenmark3164 That's amazing 💗 I think my concern with Zach's parents is that his mom seemed very mama bear about him but seeing their wedding tonight and how well the families meshed they're off to a great start.
I'm more worried about her hurting him. He seems tender hearted. Everyone seems to remember Zack saying he hasn't ever been in love, but she stated as well. She's 30 and dumped someone that she was involved with sexually before the show. This may or may not mean anything, but I'm concerned about her ability to connect on a deep level. She has a huge personality and I just hope she can have balance be soft with him as well. I'm rooting for them.
I think Boa & Johnny and also Michaela & Zack are gonna make it. They seem to supplement one another well & all 4 are committed+ready. The others are too different to work out. Jose is gonna exhaust Rachel & be perpetually unsatisfied. Ryan is too depressed & worn out to be any good for this process. And Myrla is the exact opposite of what Gil requested-from intimacy to money management. Train wrecks incoming.
@@HopeAndrea_HFG yes, now there is something there about him I can't put my finger on yet... 🤔 like I got a kind of "upiddy" vibe from him and her comment "people from the hood can be refined" 🤔 just saying, could be a thing or maybe I'm reaching... we will see!
Y’all do predictions on the first episode and then you all revise your predictions once all the weddings are completed. I don’t watch MAFS I just watch y’all.
Sooo excited the reviews are back . Love it . BTWi could not watch 3 hours of MAFS either. I recorded and forwarded past a lot of it. Show was tooooo long.
What about Michael the liar, or the guy who i think the said was gay (who would tell his wife he was disgusted when he had sex with her), or the tall guy that played basketball overseas who acted so lovey dovey on camera but never stayed at home when the cameras weren't there. They all gave me trust issues. Lmbo
Surprisingly Bao is my favorite thus far. De is kinda sarcastic and unapologetic honest but funny at the same time. I’m still catching up so that might change
I wanna know what Myrla's ethnic background is too. Gill is proud to be Columbian and he said he wanted someone who shared his culture. He's Afro-Columbian but I don'tknow if he identifies as such. That's kinda specific for this show. Hopefully she's Latina and can meet him half way. There's so many different cultures in the Latin Diaspora tho. Not sure if this type of show is a place to look for a quality so specific.
@@nicolewhite2380 I looked her up and it shows that she is from the McAllen Texas area and was born in Texas. I would say that 99% of Latinos in the south Texas border area are of Mexican decent. She seems to classify herself as white. Also when Gil said that he was from Columbia she did not say anything such as '"me too". She simply said that it was on her list of places that she had always wanted to visit. My educated guess is that she is a white lady of Mexican descent but I want to know also. Due to her public career in high level education and her uptight nature I do not think that she will be very open about who she is on the show. I live in South Texas and her last name is not super common so I'm curious.
The experts said they were a good match because of their Colombian background and Kevin (from E.T. ) and his panel kept mentioning how hot their interactions were going to be…AND I ALSO DON’T CARE WHAT SHE IDENTIFIES AS 🤷🏾♀️ she’s superficial IMO
No, I loved the details in this episode. To be honest I was not prepared for 3 hours, but it was a good 3 hours. It also helped to pass the time as I was getting my hair braided. 😆
Actually guys, you missed the beginning of the wedding for Michaela and her dude. Cant remember his name right now. It showed after Unfiltered. I went to bed but my sister told me to go back and watch it because they showed them getting ready and the start of the wedding
@@joannasaadati8810 it was on last week immediately after MAFS. Usually it is on just before the new episode. They did it differently last week. Idk if that is the format they are keeping. I hope not
You must remember, Johnny didn’t want to be committed to Bao, she said he was a bit of a hoe, she wanted him as quiet as it’s kept. So I think she really likes him. I also think they will stay together because of their culture
Here we go again with the MAFS experts ignoring what candidates for the show say they want in a mate. Myrla is very superficial, make that very superficial. She specifically said she did not want a bald man and yet they paired her with one anyway. Some people are not on the show to learn and grow so that kind of pairing is called a mismatch. They have such a huge pool of people interested in being on the show. They couldn’t find a superficial man with hair? Or, a woman who liked bald men?
I feel like if the jersey thing didn’t happen Bao wouldn’t have been as okay with the fact she had already met Johnny! She probably was overthinking so much when she saw that jersey that it was a sigh of release when it was not the Bro that she thought would be at the end of the aisle.
