So MY THING with Chris was: He isn't even cute to have these high standards and desires for a "trophy wife." He KEPT saying my money money my money. Dude! Don't nobody want you for you money! Paige has her own!

Chris wants a woman for her looks but don’t want her to want him for his money 🙄🙄🙄🙄 how that work... the double standard

They matched an accomplished pilot with a hardcore party girl... They purposely miss matched to say the least.

I didn’t understand why Chris wanted someone who doesn’t want him for his money, but at the same time also wants a trophy wife so to speak. Like those kinda go hand in hand in reality.

Melissa is spot on about Chris. I could see that from a mile away. He thinks he's saying all the right things, but it's clear that his motivation is driven by materialistic things. Sex and Money.

Angel said everything I think about Chris. He is NOT going to find her attractive and he’s going to hurt the girl’s feelings AND he’s going to use the fact that he said that with this relationship he wants to wait to be intimate, to NOT be physical with her.

THE SHOW THAT STARTED IT ALL IS BACK

I feel like the experts are purposefully pairing these opposite personalities as a couple strictly for entertainment purposes and I don’t think that’s fair. It’s clear as day that these couples don’t match up from a hole in the wall and it will most likely end up in divorce. It’s not fair to the people who actually come onto this show to find a life partner. I’m really hoping that these couples are a good match but who knows. It’s not looking too good 😩

I believe the missing element of this show is a therapist. They have religious, sociologist, & sexual/rela help. I think if the couples had individual therapy sessions once a wk...to help expose their triggers & responses to themselves would help a lot. The ONLY couples I think will make it are 80s dude couple and Brianna & Vincent.

Filming started in August. Chris be doing the most, the restaurant he owns is Subway - he is a franchise owner, not a restaurant owner of something fancy.

Y'all should do something with Stephanie Lee. She's a therapist that has been reviewing these shows for years, but didn't do last season because she had a baby. I think it would be dope.

Ugh! Kris is so darn arrogant and self-absorbed. He low key seems like a manipulator & an abuser!!! I agree with Melissa that he seems like the type to use the Bible to control. Toxic!!!

Angel's commentary was hilarious. As it stands right now, Chris is this season's Brett. Melissa was 1,000% correct, when she said that he uses the Bible and Christianity as a weapon against women. Those "pastors" around him 🤔. I think Bree and Vincent could work. I think Ryan and I forget the young lady's name, I think they can work as well.

Angel and Marcus with these imitations are killing me LOL. So glad the show is back!

Chris is a franchisee for Subway and it’s currently closed. The wedding days were August 2020 and his engagement officially ended June 2020. So......he must’ve applied for the show while still engaged. And I think half the cast this season was picked by the producers for entertainment purposes.

I have been waiting in this episode. Marcus’ take on Chris...I can’t wait.

I'm so glad you guys are back! MAFS Gang Gang! I get irritated with the "opposites attract notion" because oftentimes the couples we perceived as different might have one or two traits that differ from each other (i.e. he's quiet and she talks a lot) but most couples also share some core values, morals, and/or general view of life. It's so frustrating that the experts, particularly the family, marriage therapist would lead with that.

These "experts"/the show need to stop matching people to be life coaches for their partners. If I hear one more time: he needs to be more [x] so we matched him with her to teach him [y]...just no. If they've studied their own tapes, they have done much better when they matched couples where the individuals complement each others' lifestyles and have the same core desires. It's really unfair to sentence these folks to an 8wk second job.

This show is what started me watching Married at First Sight

I’ve been waiting for this!! So glad y’all are continuing, it’s going to be an interesting season. I’m hoping Chris shapes up for Paiges sake. Also when he kept saying that he doesn’t want someone for his money, I instantly though “you receive what you put out.” A lot of the things he talked about I.e expensive shoes, dream car, etc are obviously things he values yet he doesn’t want someone who is only seeking that. He says one thing but expects another. And for the Pilot, it would be unfortunate for him to be divorced twice when it seems like he is genuinely hoping for a suitable mate. Still wishing them all the best, can’t wait for episode two.

Random: I wonder if Kev noticed (because I know he’s a fan of the 85 south show) that Ryan is Chad’s brother (manager of the 85 south show) they showed him in the back sitting next to Ryan before the wedding he looked very uninterested in being there.
