That "main>lead" ranking stuff was just made up by some fans who spammed it all over social media in 2016 so much that a lot of people and Kpop websites mistakenly think that it's real (even though it's never been confirmed or announced by YG and doesn't make much sense, especially since main and lead are basically synonymous in English when talking about musical roles). (Some people are trying to do the same thing to Babymonster now, even though YG has never officially announced any main/lead position rankings for the group.) In reality, the Blackpink members were never ranked like that. When they debuted, YG simply indicated what type of roles each member would mostly or mainly have in the group. From left to right as they appear in this video, here is exactly how YG introduced their roles when they debuted: Jisoo -- Vocals; Jennie -- Vocals/Rap; Rosé -- Vocals; Lisa -- Rap/Dance. They all do a bit of everything and are talented in each area, but Jisoo and Rosé have mainly focused on singing (vocals); Jennie splits between singing and rapping, but probably does a bit more singing than rapping; Lisa mainly does rapping and behind the scenes she's kind of in charge of helping to polish the group choreography (being recognized as the most experienced and skilled dancer in the group).

She’s just popular because she’s the only non-korean member in the group and she’s the maknae not because of her talent. When she’s out of YG and blackpink she will be exposed.
