I was expecting to see a gagged Mickey character tied to the base of the tree at some point 😂😂. Adam The Woo is the best. Obviously the ban was lifted years ago. Just revisiting old videos
It always seems the people who love disney the most are people who never worked for the mouse. As a former cast member the security is crazy even for cast members, at Disneyland in CA, workers aren't allowed to sit down or use any of the drinking fountains or trash cans that aren't back stage. Many of the backstage areas have machines or are exits or entrances for giant floats etc. The fact that Adam thought he would get away with this is laughable. One of the first things I was told during orientation was that someone is always watching you. It's no joke.
I'd say most cast members are indifferent. Although there are some that love Disney World, but there a large turnover rate too. Disney World doesn't pay too much and it doesn't really have that many opportunities to move up, unless you like managing or doing mid-level jobs. There are just a lot more jobs that pay more and require less work than Disney.
I'm 62 and I worked for that damn Rat back in 1977 or 1978. I've forgotten for good reasons. In those days, it was as hard to get a job at the park (Anaheim) as it is to become a police officer. Massive background check. Incredible appearance standards (these were still the days when long hair and "Hippie" look was not allowed in the park by paying customers) and employees needed proper "Boys" haircut. Absolutely no beards, mustache, hair over ears or collars, etc... I was hired as a guide since I'm bilingual. That lasted only about a month because I hated it. They gave me a costume to be a character walking around the park. That lasted only a week due to heat exhaustion. Next was a "Lightning Artist" as it was called back then. I would have an easel and I would draw your kid while they sat moving and yelling on a stool. I was an artist and that's what I eventually got my degree in. That lasted about 1 month due to only making hourly ($1.70 - $1.96 p/hr in those days) but was charging over $5.00 per drawing. I could do several in an hour and still make minimum wage. Was not happy at all and quit. The Walt Disney company is all about Profit Over People. They don't care about anyone but stock holders. And for those reasons I hate them. That and Walt was an Anti Semite. But that's another story.
Yes thank you... I'm SIX(!!!) minutes in and increasingly frustrated by "So I'm gonna tell you what happened.... oh look, a distraction! By the way, check out my vlog! So here's what happened, oh by the way, look at that photo of me... so here's what happened... oh and also, click below to see my vlog..... so here's a tresspass notice.... oh it's upside down.... so lemme tell you exactly what happened.... oh look at that tree..... so I'm gonna explain what happened right now... click below for my vlog! where am I by the way? I'm just walking.... so anyway this is what happened... oh look a laptop....." FFS!! Remind me never to watch this guy ever again.
@@adamholt5153 he was freaked....Disney is his first love and he was jilted......the A. Lincoln shot that comes from out of nowhere. It's all good now.
This whole video is so passive aggressive lol. Like "they didnt want me taking exclusive pictures, well, here's more exclusive pictures of the backstage security office"
I remember once I was on the pirates ride at Disney world and the ride broke down we sat for an hour finally a guy came in they turned the lights on a guy jumped in the water and pulled our boats back and was yelling don't take pictures we exited into the back lot once again we were told if you take pics you will be escorted out of the park and we will take the pictures.
I just watched a news report about the other guys who swam 300 ft to explore the entire Treasure Island Disney Abandoned. She said that he MAY get banned from all of their properties. After watching this I'm sure that he did. I thought it was a great video, wish he had more pictures and footage. After seeing all the abandoned properties by Disney I have this dark evil aftertaste in my mouth.
If not yet, next time they visit... I have seen it too. Disney even has protected air space that Universal and Sea World do not, similar to that of government buildings, it's time to end those "benefits" and treat Disney like any Publix or Winn Dixie LOL. There is a reason my photo does not appear on these postings! I would not even guarantee this is my legal name for obvious reasons.
I guess Disney had to set an example. I mean Adam might be calm and level headed while exploring but that doesnt mean a copycat will follow his example. Im sure Disney doesnt want Adam showing people that they can explore closed sections, possibly to be vandalized.
Adam, give em time. No one is ever truly banned for life from anything except other people. With a system such As Disney's in place, they appreciate the free attention you give their properties. In a few months they will have forgotten you and you can come back to the WDW resort. If after let's just say 90 days of staying away from them you still cannot purchase a new pass, approach them by asking for forgiveness and agree to whatever rules they require you to abide by. In the meantime, until they forgive you at WDW enjoy the other Disney parks locations around the world and keep in mind the same security mindset is there too. Have fun and abide by their rules because while you're on their property you have to regardless of who is right or wrong. Have a great time! And I look forward to your next videos wherever you roam to next.
However long he waits, he'll never be able to get back in because you have to scan your finger when you enter one of the parks, and they took his print and he's now on file as being banned, so he would definitely have to approach them and ask for a pardon if he ever wants to get back in.
Oh well...you trespassed (more than once) consider yourself lucky...they couldve pressed serious charges not to mention your Vids just make people think they can just do what ever the hell they want...No!! if the sign says "cast members only" then thats what it means!!! You got what you deserved..Sorry!!
Those of us that act hyper and uppity to attempt to cover up the shock and sadness that's lurking deep within us can clearly tell that Adam is trying ever so hard to act happy for us in this vlog but deep down inside him his heart is bent and broken! Glad to see that since this he is back at WDW and we anxiously look forward to his future Wootastic from the magical world of Disney!!!! We love you Adam The Woo!!!!
Along with being "the happiest place on earth" Disney is also a prime target for some folks. The idea that someone can sneak in and theoretically sneak back out is concerning. You wanted video but there are other folks with more nefarious intentions. Disney can't afford to gamble with the safety of small children and families. Being banned on a first offense I can see would be harsh, but if you have video evidence of yourself trespassing repeatedly I'm not quite sure what else they were supposed to do.
I don't think they should have banned you from the park, just gave you a warning NOT to film on the back lot of the park again. I do understand their viewpoint but I fell they were just a tad to harsh about it.
I could tell his respiration was up and I would seriously bet his heart was racing as he spoke. It was controlled anger. Adam "loves" Disney and to tall him he is banned is like cutting off his right arm or banning him from vlogging for life, whatever. He was majorly upset and probably went off and screamed somewhere to get it all out. That ban is kin to a man being told by a wife he loves and adores that she is leaving him, taking the kids with her, and banning him for life from ever seeing her again. He of course got back in somehow and I don't think he would have ever rested till he did. We all know about Adam's love affair with Disney.and theme parks in general.
adam, i don't see a problem as far as you don't destroy property or mess w/anything, your just looking around, but, from their point of view, if you get hurt in areas you don't have permission, then you could sue them & they don't want that. The only way to access areas like that is sign a dis-claimer saying you will not sue them for injuries or something through their lawyers ect., but at least they were nice about it & you didn't get stuck in jail for the day or night.....actually it's publicity for you and for them.....lol.....thank you for sharing your adventures !
Anyone can go do a staged slip and fall. Every single inch of any theme park is a legal attractive nascence, so the legalese comments should include that no usage of restrooms will be allowed do to increased chances of slip & falls from toilet leakage on floor. Really think about it. before you justify the fact that your kids can no longer use a diving board, or now even attend phys-ed classes in school because of insurance control of our rights. Do you want your great grand children to be raised in Insurance co. containment facilities/prisons, that you have to pay for with your tax money. Protect and enslave. Just how safe are you with no physical activity, and no constitutional rights ? Have the mass media formed your opinions for you etc... Soon you will be call a terrorist if you even question these oligarchs, simply because a camera caught you talking in a public place to you family about personal freedoms ( a soon to be forbidden subject, on penalty of incarceration without trial ) Don't believe me, then read up on, "Preemptive Detention." that Obama recently signed into law while most of us were sleeping. I at least call my Congress reps. and told them I would vote against them, if they did not repeal this crap.
I'm from the future! And I'm here to tell Adam from the past that it's going to be okay! After a lot of persistence and asking to be let back in, Disney lifts the ban. Stay strong until then! :D
Adam, This is The Daily Woo 192 and now you live not far off Highway 192. Coincidence? Maybe, Maybe not. Just wanted to say I have been watching your videos for some time now and must admit that I haven't clicked like nearly enough and I'm sorry about that. Please keep up the good work. I'm also enamored about the story of Walt Disney and Disney in general. Wish I was closer to be able to enjoy it more often. Thank you again Adam. - Jeff
P.S. some extras have done it the Opposite way in Universal. Basically, when you're an extra, you're supposed to stay with your group and don't wander off. Yes, I've heard of extras who get booked on a show shooting in the backlot, but seek in the park during lunch. Usually, those extras are wrapped if they find out if you went into the patk. The visitor sticker is for doing work on a set and not good for park admission.
If you watched Adams vlog today, Feb 15th 2019, it may have triggered you thinking about which vlog was the first one you watched that then led to subscribing. For me, I'm pretty sure it was this one. Six years later, here I am again , thanks for the journey Adam!
i know this is an old video but nonetheless, i think what they should have done rather than ban you permanently was give him like a warning ban where hes banned for like a year maybe or something along those lines, with the warning being that next time it will be permanent. especially since this is the first time they actually approached him about it.
So they banned you for going into a side entrance at first??? I’m so confused haha what a dreadful is-he-isn’t-he sidewinding video lol watching in 2023 too btw lol
wtf I feel like I'm watching one of those sales pitches... "Wanna know what happened? Well, in a few minutes I'm gonna tell you, but first let's talk about this tree..."
you know people we all like what adam does and love seeing things like this but know you all turn on him??? damn if these big companies ever think its people that made them rich and famous so what is so wrong of snapping pictures or videos, if someone does it to copy them then wait to they do then sue their ass dont take it out on people like adam that post things like this and things such as abandon buildings, movie sets and other interesting things as we grew up remembering when those areas were still alive and kicking ADAM you keep on posting I will Keep on watching :)
Dude, your an adult. Stay out of areas you shouldn't be in, they weren't being nice or having a "difference of opinion", they just wanted you to leave.
Ive watched Hundreds of your videos over the last year and this is my first time seeing this. I love it. 8yrs later and you are stepping away from disney park vids on your own. looking forward to all your future videos
I know how you feel bro but please post another video explaining exactly what happened I still didn't understand why and your shaking alot and rambling as you've mentioned
So glad they have allowed you back in Adam! They are missing out on something great by not having you there! We base all our excursions from You Tubers and their POVS.
The entire thing behind this is the fact that the Disney parks are private property, there for if you do anything they want you to not do, that including accessing areas that you do not have express permission to access, they have every right to ask you to leave and to refuse you service. I have no issues with you Adam, but at the same time I understand where Disney is coming from as they have no idea if you will try in the future to access areas that could be hazardous for you to be in. I'm sorry that you are unable to enjoy the parks anymore.
Disney cost our church $250,000 for showing a Disney video for a youth movie night. Great example for the kids, right? I have a 35mm projector in a trailer for Movies in the Park, Screen on the Green, etc. I rent prints from the studios. I NEVER show Disney! And when people ask why I don't show Disney, I'm glad to tell them the church story. They are always shocked! "Sweet lil' old Disney would do that?" Yup. They take the protection of their product to a new level. The Disney Nazis are out there!
They shouldn't have banned you. Your videos make me more curious & want to visit the parks more- it's advertising for them even if' it's not the normal way to do it.
"I don't understand what upper management has against "backstage exploring". Is it because they don't want people to know what goes on behind the scenes?" Ummm...yes. There's a reason why those areas are restricted. Not only do Disney not want their trade secrets getting out, but some of those areas can be dangerous for guests to be roaming through. It makes me sick that everybody here don't seem to understand that.
I am an Adam fan, but this doesn't surprise me in the slightest. Like dad said growing up, 'son, if you play w/fire, ur gonna get burned'. Disney is hardcore about security- not because there's things they don't want you to see, but because of risk mgmt. If some kid (or Adam the Woo) gets injured in an unauthorized derelict area, they are liable.
You are right in his critter country video if a little kid climbed that fence and got in the pool that is now sludge which who knows what's in there because is abandoned I don't agree witch what he did in the slightest way at all I'm sorry
WDW is a private company. you pay to come in and ride rides and see the shows. You do not pay for the right to wander in restricted areas. It is not a free for all! From WDW website "We reserve the right to deny admission, or to require a person already admitted to leave the Park, without refund or compensation, for failure to comply with any of the Park rules, for unsafe, illegal or offensive behavior, to ensure safety, security or order, or if we consider that the circumstances so require.
PS: The place you were in isn't a "security office." It's what is called the "celebrity room" (don't get your hopes up). It's where security takes people (like you and also lost children or disgruntled guests) to help calm them down in an orderly environment without them feeling like they're being interrogated. In fact, Disney has $30,000 worth of decor and made it using techniques from psychologists to lessen fear.
I'm here from the future....your ban will last a little under 3 years and in those three years, you grow to have a much more mature, stable & understanding reaction to the fact that you were banned and why.
the scanner at the front gate is biometric, not finger print. it scans bone density. also they don't dictate what finger you use to enter, some use their index finger. so your theory is not correct.
I WAS a lifelong Disney fan. 12 annual passes. Then I worked there for "fun". Instead, my LOVE was shattered as I could see why Roy Disney left in Disgust. Disney treats employees like slaves. They close the filthy cast kitchens as early as 1:30PM. After that, OVER priced vending that steals $. Worked Christmas; Off early AM. STARVING. Changed. Walked to only guest area open - in a resort. Stopped by security. Treated like dirt. Could go on. I'll never give them another penny. I now HATE Disney.
Oops! Curiosity "killed the messenger"? I think Walt and Roy would both be angry with the way that River Country was just left to decay without cleaning it up! Google Maps has made it hard to hide messes now too:) We all gotta do what we gotta do though, right? I respect your quest, and the few individuals who act like they have a problem with it ARE watching your videos too apparently...so...ya.
Disney is very sensitive about what goes on behind the scenes. when you work at WDW (if you can call it work) you are on stage putting on a show so back stage is where every thing you see -as a guest- is prepared and kept secret. So, to let Adam video all that goes on, as entertaining as it may be, not only gives the game away but could let the competition see whats going on as well. To know what goes on backstage, spoils the illusion out front.
mixed emotions about it A) in the back of your mind you knew it was wrong but you knew it was the entertainment for us the viewers B) if disney knew you where doing it why didn't they give you a heads up ahead of time so that way you could still have your privlages to the parks thats messed up as a disney vacation club member i would hope they would give me a heads up ahead of time if i were doing something wrong
I have been watching your channels for a while now ......they just show up on mine...and ... you no ...i thought i was a subscriber ...and dam ..i was not.....WHAT WAS I MISSING LOL....keep up the great vids man....im a fan....
I cannot imagine living in Central Florida and not having access to Walt Disney World. That would be like living in Hawaii and not being able to go to the beach. I'm sorry for you man, you should move.
But they did tell him it was wrong. There are signs everywhere saying "Cast Members Only", and there were employees that told him to leave areas he shouldn't be in.
I'm sorry to say I am with Disney on this one. It isn't that they probably don't want you to see certain things. It has to be a safety thing I am a big Disney fan as well but I have to side with the Disney Heads on this one.
I say this only because I love Adam and know things have gotten so much better for him but he reminds me of Bruce Nolan from Bruce Almighty when he doesn't get the promotion.
He is unbanned now. There's even a new video of him returning. Still, keep this video as a reminder, and I'm sure him being pretty popular with the Disney fans may have had something to do with it. Most people that get banned for life, stay banned for life.
No, not like a baby. Just respectfully & not having to sacrifice basic human needs & dignities such as being able to eat. I also worked for other parks. Busch, SeaWorld, Universal all treat their employees FAR better. They respect their employees, treat them like human beings, don't expect them to sacrifice basic human dignity & ( as a bonus )actually demonstrate that they appreciate employees w/ at-cost food, free drinks, valuable holiday gifts, etc. As a result, I gladly support them.
It sounds to me like most of them were either big fans of yours or security executives that were LOVING the moment they captured 'that lil RU-vid bastard AdamTheWoo' so much that they HAD to prolong your stay backstage. The eagerly polite offer to buy you lunch gave it away! Me and my bf were booted from Typhoon Lagoon Waterpark there back in the day for carrying on a loud and abrasive argument and throwing beer on each other but it was super quick and quiet. We were ushered backstage while someone in plainclothes gathered our things and we were then escorted out of the park immediately. So, something tells me that whether they were psyched to meet you, or just over excited cats that just caught the canary of the year-they were definitely enjoying the momentous occasion! I'm even MORE surprised that some upper level executive didn't 'imagineer' some extremely sweet job offer to take the Disney rebel and make him a STAR somehow. It seems to me that some 'out of the box' thinker in upper management MUST have entertained the thought of casting you in your own prestigious role of some sort, hosting elite groups of guests to the parks, or designing experiences for certain groups of kids or other visitors. In my opinion, it would have been in their favor to impress your many fans and admirers with that kind of surprise rather than exile you from the parks. We ALL know that Walt would NEVER approve, :)
Legally, it makes sense that you were disciplined for violating the rules. You are lucky you were not fined. However, Disney should Understand that everyone goes To Disneyland to be a kid. And you were just curious. Maybe you could sign a waiver that would lift the ban but with strict conditions, including jail tine, if not honored. Let me just say this: the entertainment industry is really strict. I'm not talking about Stage. Stage crew and actors are probably like family, even Broadway. Though you could still get in trouble for not paying for a ticket. However, after the show, I am not sure if you would be banned for going backstage. The film industry is a different creature. Even on a Steven Spielberg movie, assistant directors can act like bullies. However, I was kicked off a set for asking an AD if he could increase the number of extras on the shoot so I could get on. I don't know what that guys problem was, but he lost it. And he told me not to return. Good thing it was only an on location shoot. I have done this before, and I've actually got on a few gigs without being booked as an extra. However, on this movie, I was kicked off just for asking. But the point is: don't ruin any connections you do have. Ya never know, 25 years down the line a director may want you for a Disney commercial, but have to use a different actor because of the trespass ban in Disneyland. Hopefully, they don't call Universal. That 2 old be bad news to be blacklisted.
We would sneak down the tunnels thru the castle door to get cheap food at the Fantasyland cast member commissary. We even borrowed their golf cart for an hour! Oh, and we did not have to pay to get in the park, either. We would sneak into Epcot and walk thru the rides at 4 am with a case of beer and fade in to the crowd at 9am. And they kicked you out?
its their property, they paid for it, they own it, and what they do with it is THEIR business. If they want to leave it in decay that's THEIR business, not yours.
Would a Disney employee even pick one face out the thousands going through the gate? Do they have a flip book in everyone's hands with names and faces of people to boot out of the park?
how long is the trespassing note gonna last. i know that there is a limit on how long they last for. at least in usa. i had one before down in FL back in 98 for trespassing. and it expired in 2005. so wondering if its 7 year time limit on trespassing.
