He's 100% playing with both guitars. He's tapping on the strings with each hand, which is what allows the strings to vibrate and create notes, so you don't need the other picking hand. The person who said he's only playing one has no idea what they're talking about.

Absolutely right. I'm a bassist and we do tapping with both the hands.

@@ivanprashanttigga1384 Yes, I'm a guitarist of 31 years, and tapping is a very common technique these days. Tapping with both hands, playing different melodies as the Dooo does, however, is a lot more complicated and impressive.

he is playing on both necks. As a "guitarist" the cool fact to me is not that he does it but how good and clean he is at it. I can play with one hand, but not like that dude... never! I gues he plays for longer then I, still massive respect. I don't think I'll ever do the things the doo can do xD

As Raymond B. Crisp pointed out below me, and I'm sure someone said before him. Dooo is playing both guitars at the same time, via tap, hammer on and pull-off, and vibrato techniques.

TheDooo is one of the guitarists on RU-vid that doesn’t fake anything he does with the guitar, because he is to in love with the guitar. If he ever faked anything I think he wouldn’t feel like a good person if he did.

for everyone about the plays both thing, i'm sure the guy was talking more about the backing tracks or pre looped guitar (the 2nd guitar) in which case at those points he's only playing one at a time.

He is playing both guitars, but he's not playing different parts of the song on each guitar during every song. With the Pirates theme for instance I'm pretty sure he played the main melody simulatenously on both. I'm not a guitar player, but I reckon he plays rhythm on one and lead on the other if the song allows it. Simply amazing 😁
