😲 Ngai! Fel it is the same thing for my daughter it is the same story. She understands all but to speak hawezi. Pluto comunicate only with her in kyk and she wil get there i promise. My daughter hawezi juu tuko outside country.😢
Not sure how I got to this page but this was interesting AF. The young lady is a bootleg Kikuyu & the young man is impressive when it comes to roots. First language for a black African should proudly be the mother tongue, very funny clip.
Thee pluto and fel thnaks for your vibes we should teach our children mother tongue is very important 🎉🎉 Nipitieni team Pluto and Felicity Road to 1k huys tuinuane zote kwa kimoja bnaa 😊😊
I feel we should just teach our daughters to be strong minded and have confidence. Am not a kikuyu and am married to one and we are ok. On the other hand let's teach our daughters to embrace different tribes and cultures.
Yeah that's is very true ,,to be mum is a very respective name ,,be proud fel,,to be mummy muthoni,,I can't wait to have kid ,,me ata Sina mtoi ,bat nasemanga naitwa mama muthoni yes Sina mtoi
😂😂😂😂😂 my daughter anaitwa Wendo... ...before nizoee mtu angeniita mama wesh, nakosa kuitika coz ata sikumbuki naitwa ivo😅😅😅 from Dee to mama Wendo😅😅😅ata Fel atazoea
I feel where fel is coming from....cause l grew up in the same back ground of my parents not speaking to us in Kikuyu but we try to learn Kikuyu now that we are grown up but our accent is so funny 🤣🤣🤣
Weeee wamuthoni hio ni respect kubwa sana ,urenda kuhithwo ta kamithi ,na wi nyina wa mwana wake ,Pluto anakupenda na umekukumbali kama mama wa mtoto wake ama watoto wake
My son is turning 5yrs na hawezi ongea mother tongue but ukimwongelesha anaskia yote weeh i just feels that i made a mistake for not teaching him mother tongues as his first language..
I perfectly understand gel,I grew up in the rift valley,we used to speak Swahili ive learned my mother tongue as an adult,my children don't know how to speak,I would love them to atleast wasikie kikuyu.
I live in Boston, and my kids know and understand kikuyu. I find it lame for people to despise their language and culture. Huku Chinese, Spanish, and a lot of other immigrants' kids speak and understand their mother tongue. Then unaona mtu and may hata hajawahi pita Nairobi, they dislike their mother tongue ati ni class. We visited kenya from the US a few years ago. People were amazed that American kids spoke kikuyu. When you lose your language, you lose your culture.
Love you already.I love that so much.Thank u for teaching them their roots.I wasborn n brought up in nairobi however my dad made sure we talked in kikuyu n he told us to stop calling him dad instead call him baba n my mum maitu.Good job my dear
Amen to this. People think they're being fancy not knowing their mother tongue. It's so embarrassing. They want to be white so bad. Wazungu are so basic they can only speak English. Wakenya we have the ability to speak and understand more than 2 languages na mtu anajifanya ati hajui mother tongue.
The jina "Wamuthoni" is the sweetest. My self huitwa the same "Wamuthoni", my daughter is Muthoni. Yaani even my friends call me Wamuthoni or Baba Mso n I like it so much. In fact I find it odd watu wakiniita jina yangu..
This video inspired me to make a short encouragement video for all of us who are learning our mother tongues later in life. Hope it encourages you a little bit! You can do it, @FELICITY SHIRU!! 💪
Am also aving the same issue with my young niece's, trying to teach them to speak kiuk even though mine is not deep, but weuh"I tell you it's not easy 😅
Fel the moment we have kids automatically half or all of our names moves to mama someone..its normal just get use to it no way to avoid...majina yetu yanaishiaga working places eg.
Mi my Dad is a kikuyu mum is a kamba born and raised in Mombasa I speak swahili but kamba I just speak kidogo na kikuyu sijuagi kuongea but naskia kidogo kidogo
