VIDEO DESCRIPTION:
After a long-distance relationship, Jon and Christina dove right into close living quarters by downsizing to a tiny home just shy of 400sq ft. Their quaint house is 32’ long, 8.5’ wide, 13.5’ tall, and designed with an open layout. Storage is abundant as they've made space in the stairs, the couch, above the washer/dryer, and in both lofts. The beautiful bedroom occupies one loft, and the other is dedicated to books, art, and crafts. Jon created a convenient homemade mobile ladder that allows full access to either loft and secures safely when not in use. Walking into the bathroom, you'd never guess it's a tiny home with a full-size bathtub and shower, large vanity, and a mirror that opens for more storage. This gorgeous tiny home is just right for them, their pup Sammy and bird Peter.

I really liked seeing a tiny home that wasn't a minimalist space, for once. Books! Plants everywhere! Art on the walls, photos, little things everywhere. An actual living room with a tv! I love spaces like this because I bet all your things have a story - always something to look at. Looks well lived in, comfortable, and personable. A real home. And I hear you on the living-at-my-desk life lol. Y'all look happy and comfy in your home - congrats on a lovely space :)

I have to say, I’ve seen quite a few Tiny Houses and you guys have one of the best set ups. You can tell everything was well planned and well thought out. All of your space is used perfectly and in all honestly, this home doesn’t feel small or cramped especially when you compare it to other builds. Your Tiny House is way better than some apartments I’ve seen and lived in. You both have done a phenomenal job with the space you’ve been given and I can totally see myself and my girlfriend in a similar set up. I wish you both the very best and thank you for sharing! Love the kitchen because it has an actual oven! The Ikea cabinets look great and I like the fact that the cabinets worked around the wheel wells so smoothly. Your living room looks really comfy! Some look so uncomfortable and boxy. I think that barn door turned out beautifully, despite your doubt. Great job!

This is one of the best tiny houses that I have seen! And I have seen a lot. My husband and I may consider something similar to this, but with modifications, since we are of retirement age, and need to "age in place". Tiny Home Tours, could you put me in touch with some builders who specialize in building tiny homes like this one, but for Seniors; and as" off- grid" as much as possible? Thank you.

Your tiny home was RIGHT ON...You UTILIZE the space real well,including a BATH TUB which I always use..Very Practical and tasteful..Iam very grateful I found you cuz it gave me piece of mind,in regards of what I want..looking on utube can be OVERWHELMING cuz for the most part it can get really unnecessary since the WHOLE IDEA at least for me is to MINIMIZE the UNNECESSARY stuff lol.Thank u again...Beautiful simple home👍🤙👍👌

Nice tiny home but..... There isn't any storage areas like I've seen in some. Where a fry pan, pots and pans, dishes, glassware, silverware? Where one put groceries, canned food, box cereal? Is there space to eat at the table. That couch doesn't look comfortable in the least. No back problems yet, give yourself time. Where does one keep bedding, extra blanket, heck bath towels? The area shown for clothes?? Really? Any cleaning products? Even stick vacuum, trash can, or garbage bag. Nope didn't see any of those things

@@cindylong4125 I'm not either of the home owners, but practically everything you list is shown in the video: the pots and pans were in a drawer, dishes and glassware were on the open shelves above, mop or vacuum (I don't remember which) was in the closet in the bathroom, and there's lots of storage in the couch for towels, blankets, etc. I have that exact couch and it's very comfortable! Lots of back support (my back can't handle the slouchy ones), cushions not too hard or too soft. There was also some cabinet space they didn't open up - dry goods and garbage can are likely in there. And some folks don't have a lot of cans or boxes of cereal, preferring to buy fresh - the fridge was huge! They could eat at the desk, just move the laptops out of the way then there's plenty of space. True there wasn't a lot of clothes storage, but some folks don't have a lot of clothes. I think the reason it might look like there's not a lot of storage is because they didn't open up everything and talk about it in great detail. They seemed really happy with the way it turned out, so I don't think they're wanting for storage. Cheers :)

@@cindylong4125 @crowfoot is correct! The tour took around two hours and they cut out some bits such as showing more of the cabinets. The vacuum is actually hung up on the wall beside Peters cage (it's a small cordless dyson). Trash and recycle is under the kitchen sink and we have the two door cabinet next to the sink for pantry/food items and also the storage bins under the washer dryer. We have the baskets in the stairs for clothes and also the bigger closet in the bathroom, the small one above the washer/dryer and pjs, underwear, swimsuits, socks etc are in the dresser in the bedroom loft! Everything has worked out for us perfectly fine! Dinners we either eat at the desk or at the fold out table at the couch. Blankets we hang on the ladder and we have extra sheets, winter clothes, luggage etc in the storage part of the couch. Cleaning supplies are in one of the drawers in the kitchen as well. It is hard to show everything in a 19 minute video!

Absolutely GORGEOUS! So great to see good size stove, and REAL size fridge (so very important for aspiring Tiny Housers who are FOODIES like me!) and a beautiful TUB! Great design! I think my two tiny dogs, and even my nephew's big dog that I oftentimes dog-sit, would love it in a design like this!
