Never saw the movie before until I brought it a few days ago and I honestly love it and consider it to be one of the few movies I call perfect and the transfer just looks amazing. If I had anything to nitpick about,it would be the FBI quickly getting involved over a parking lot murder that nobody even knew who did it especially to someone that was said to have alot of enemies simply because he was a scumbag
This movie had so many cheesy flaws and inconsistencies and conviniences. Extremely far from perfect. Dumb ending. It defintely felt like a studio movie. Every time Harvey Keital opened his mouth I couldn’t help but burst out laughing. What the hell was that accent?? The FBI getting involved quick and tapping the phone was indeed weird. And I don’t buy Michael Madsen being in a relationship with Susan Sarandon lol. I still really liked it tho. And the transfer is indeed fantastic.
Thanks Ken for the great review......looking forward to getting this one......haven't seen the movie in years.....so nice to know Criterion did a good job cleaning this one up. Thanks again for your review!!
I knew it would be excellent in 4k its a favorite Ridley Scott movie and it didn't disappoint picked it up first day and watched it so damn good..Great movie Ken!!
I have this Criterion release and thought they did an excellent job. I’m not sure I’d describe the ending as “open ended”. Without giving away any spoilers, it seemed pretty definitive to me. Glad to have it in my collection now.
I didn’t care for the film at 1st because I thought it would go in a different direction. The 2nd viewing was a much better experience for me. I’ll pick up the T&L 4k once the CC sale hits this summer
My thoughts on Thelma and Louise is it feels more like a Tony Scott movie (RIP) than a Ridley Scott one. Almost like this one inspired how Tony did True Romance as they are very similar in style and tone. I had actually never seen Thelma and Louise before I got this release but I enjoyed the movie and it looks absolutely fantastic in 4K. If you’re a fan please purchase this movie.
I've bought this, one of my favourites, buzzing to hear you rated the disc visuals so highly. Can't wait👍😁 have criterion actually ever done a dolby atmos upgrade for any release ?
This one's top 3 Ridley for me (along with Alien and The Martian) so if you're talking about VS Road House level 4K goodness, I'll be grabbing a copy of this one for sure! Glad you enjoyed the movie!
Another great Gena Davis movie is Cutthroat Island which coped a lot of negativity when it was released but it’s another one of my favourite Gena Movies 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Nice job by Criterion it's a great improvement over the blu. I think Tony Scott learned from his brother on this one. Two years later when doing True Romance he knew he had to change Tarantino's original ending.
To me Ken the ending was best part . They kept on going. Wouldn't be the same just was brought in in charges. What made this movie so controversial and shocking was ending. Harvey is great as detective too. And I completely agree on Christopher Mcdonald is great in this movie
I just finished watching the movie so I am here. Ending have me here n i am still grabbing my chest..it was my 1st time watching..so i guess they died at the end right by jumping that cliff.
Thelma & louise is so overrated and I remember when this came out in theaters back in 1991 and after seeing this movie its a one and done watch bc once you see this movie you don't really need to watch it again
@@blackphilipalvarez1305 all I am saying is that people hype this movie up to be better movie then it was and this movie is ok at best nothing to write home about
