I never, ever comment on your videos, even though I watch everything you all do. I am not doing the best financially, however, I have put it in my budget to pay for the streaming service because I absolutely love you all and belive in you. You all are needed in the black community (among lots of other things) and you are very much appreciated. And yes when this is over, I will start all over and re-watch every episode as if it was a new one.

Your rant about the undeserving hate that Jada receives is Exactly how I feel!! 💯 It’s baffling how people will pick and choose the info they remember or acknowledge. And it’s not just women I’ve seen a lot of men finding joy in dragging this woman Smh

2 things that resonated with me on this episode. My relationship with my son's mom and her family was beyond tumultuous. I tried being super dad inspite of and I got the "she doesn't know what she's got". Even if that was true, I definitely did not handle things well just like they didn't handle things well. Especially when we were dating still. These days, without realizing it, I've made it clear when the topic comes up that I'm still a part of my son's life and always will be, but I am no super dad. I am not as present as I could be. I am selfish because I choose to be, regardless of the reason. So I have no interest in being on anyone's pedestal and, as Liss said, I don't want to inadvertently dismiss what I put his mom through. The second thing was desire and purpose. I've never had either. Nor do I have anything I can put my finger on and say, yup I'm good at that. Just kind of existing ya know, still trying to make it at 29. So to hear people as accomplished as Marcus and Melissa still not knowing their purpose and desires like that was both refreshing and demoralizing. I honestly feel like if I had accomplished as much as they have, I wouldn't be pressed about any of this lol, but who knows.

Thank you, Angel, for saying "That was Will speaking out of his maleness". I'm not a Mom but I'm certain you just said what a generation of women felt like they couldn't say "in consideration of" their partner's ego. But THAT is the REAL!

I know Marcus said he's still thinking about purpose, I but I like when he said family. I think it's ok for family to be your purpose and not have to have some overarching career driven goals in addition to that. I've been down that road, tried to force myself to be the career woman but that just isn't me. I'm much more fulfilled when my family and friends are happy, healthy and loved. I want adventures with the people closest to me...a career is just a means to an end for me, and I've stopped focusing so much on that, and I think that's ok! People change as we get older.

I actually like the tartness of Kombucha with slight sweet flavor. But i rarely drink sweet beverages. I get ones with ginger in it, it’s a great alternative to soda

As a black boy who grew up in poverty to a teenage single mother and now has a decent corporate career and a middle class living, I appreciate what you said so much Marcus. Nothing I do is ever good enough for me. But it is just a fact that me making it this far is an achievement. I should be proud of myself. But I often can only see my failures.

This is a wonderful episode and so timely. I am closing my business at the end of the year to pursue a new career path. I have so much peace though. I think the difference between quitting and completing is partly determined by if doing it still gives you the charge it did at first. For me, my business no longer affords me the opportunity to do the other things I want and I don't even see the business as it is in my future. It became a hindrance.

Did y'all watch Will's 6 part RU-vid series leading up to the release of his book? It was GOOD!

I think the hate for Jada is surrounded by the fact that she shows up for herself and her needs in her marriage, which should actually be the norm, but it isn't.

Kombucha is definitely not an LA, but a healthy progressive city thing. I live is a very healthy and progressive city in Michigan (major college town) and kombucha is very popular around here.
