ok, listening to ezio family with headphones, it doesn't sound too bad. not the emotional sounding like we AC are used to, sounds like from an action japanese ninja movie but some parts sound amazing. hope to have a different variation that is close to the iconic theme we love

I really like the soundtrack on its own. But I dont know if I like the hip hop/trap influences in there for a historical Japanese game. I really loved what Jesper and Sarah did for Valhalla, some modern influences here and there, but very atmospheric for this kind of game and timeline. But we'll have to wait and see how the entire soundtrack turns out.

AC never has bad music

Kinda disappointed with the music direction going with trap beat especially on the main theme, BUT.. i must give all of the appreciation to TEKE::TEKE for creating imo one of the best and freshest take on Ezio's Family version out there, not only that we got the iconic Ezio's Family motif but adding melodies from "Venice Rooftops" and some part of "Earth" choir is the perfect addition to the track. Kudos to them!

Main theme: 10/10 Second soundtrack: 7.5/10 Yasuke’s soundtrack: 9/10 Ezio’s family: 7.5/10 (expected something more emotional, less aggressive) I really dig the themes in general, they went a totally different direction than I expected but pretty 🔥

After a couple comparisons to YT and listens on Spotify, the OST is growing on me. The Flight, who also did music for Odyssey, have gone with a fresh unique direction here. You get a blend of classic traditional instrumentals and modern beats. Definitely not to everyone’s tastes but certainly thematic. Ezio’s Family has gone the Japanese Rock route too and accomplishes that goal. Love the traces of “Venice Rooftops” and “Earth”. Think of it less as another Ezio's Family rendition and more of a electric rock cover. Those hoping for a slower more classical take with Japanese instruments will be disappointed here. Personally looking forward to a more classical Japanese rendition being in the game. I hope the full album will have plenty of atmospheric and ambient tracks too a la Ghost of Tsushima. Overall I like this short taste into AC Shadows’s music. Remember this is just a preview, and just like with Odyssey’s OST preview, the final track list will contain a wider variety of songs and themes. Many who were put off with Odyssey’s music at reveal quickly came to enjoy the full album. Edit: Ubi dropped a Japan sneak peak environmental trailer which has lovely ambient music🔥

Everyone please go listen over on Spotify if possible. YT did some compression on this overall, sounds more fuller on Spotify with Very High audio quality preset. Background instrumentals sound muddier on YT. Edit: Rise of Yasuke intro is definitely quieter levels-wise and the background mix is flatter. Same with Shadows Main Theme. Soundstage can be described as more narrow on YT and wider and more open on Spotify. Intro to Fujibayashi Legacy is so much flatter, we lose some dynamic range, and “echoey” parts of the mix reverberate less.

The Ezio family Doesn't really seem like ezio's family at all It doesn't sound like it belongs in the age of samurai It doesn't give that chilling feeling like valhalla and AC2 and Origins have

Hopefully there is another ezio's family version for more emotional moments. This sounds good but more as a gearing up for a big fight theme (like Ezio first doning Giovani's robes) instead of a theme meant for emotional moments.
