I own my bakery and I am at work at 1 am. Can't find anyone who wants a career as a baker. To most it is just a job. I have so much knowledge to pass forward.

I used to be a cashier at a bakery where the bakers would start at 1am.

One of the flavoring ingredients, cocoa powder, is a brown redish color (if you use Dutch process cocoa is more clearly red), using red food coloring for making something brown redish vibrant red is far easier than using blue food coloring to cover the natural color of the mixture, I am not going to say that is impossible, but is not as trivial as changing the food dye.

@@pedroarjona6996 Dutch Process Cocoa is not red. Dutch Process Cocoa is a darker brown than normal cocoa. Normal cocoa is reddish. Further, blue velvet cake is actually a thing. You can google it.

I think it being on the first day doesn't help; if it was a loyal employee who suddenly did something like that, there'd be more lenience and some talking of why (they're probably financially struggling), but if a new employee does it they have no good standing yet so it immediately sets the tone very badly
