The US Vietnam war was a sham yet today the Vietnamese hold no grudge, “exhibit A” is another way of saying “that’s my point”. Moral of the story is gum down a viet if you can.
@@Rishabh_Sachdev Rogan proved theo’s point that Vietnamese people are forgiving, so Theo said “Exhibit A” as in rogans point would be Theo’s proof that he could eat a Vietnamese person and it be ok
Theos comedic timing is on a completely different level. His ability to just come up with the simplest, most witty comments at exactly the right moment is just incredible to watch. Seriously you couldn't script it better.
Theo von is actually just incredibly intelligent. He uses his wild stories as a way to workshop his comedy. Even if they don’t land, they are still creative. Theo von is the comedians comedian.
Best part is that he’s from a small town in rural Louisiana where you really can’t tell if he’s telling the truth or not, so you just go along with the absurdity.
That was actually a really good point about dating someone who’s family member is mentally unwell, they would naturally be a more compassionate person 😂
@@DemetriusDemarcusThe3rdisnt this what we all do when we tell jokes? Theo von just uses the amateur style to get the professional result thats why hes a famous comedian
@@isars3433 no definitely not, almost every other stand up comedian has a set memorized that they tell at every location for that specific tour… thats why most of them don’t let you bring your phone in or any recording device so you cant leak their set before the tour’s over
I honestly am not a huge fan of theo’s stand up but when it comes to podcasts and interview I don’t think any comedian comes close to him. His humor is always a 10/10 on podcasts n interviews. Funny as fuck.
Him and norm mcdonalds made me laugh the most ever. No one is even close to these 2 dudes. But not their specials, their interviews and podcast... so damn funny.
He is actually smart and introspective but had a pretty rough childhood and became famous as a young adult. He is navigating it well for what he stumbled into. I am sure he lies sometimes but his stories have a grain of truth
He’s really hilarious. The thing is even when he says something that may be offensive you can’t get offended bcos he’s really not trying to hurt anyone he just has the almost child like quality of saying exactly what he feels
"I think if you gum down a viet in front of a group of people they'd be much less alarmed" 😂😂😂😂 I'll never forget watching that podcast it was the day Theo entered my top 10 lmfaooooo
He echoes a sort of Norm Macdonald style of humour, saying absurd things with a straight face, except it’s genuinely such a natural train of thought that you just know he believes it. He brings such an honest and real mindset to situations, and makes them seem ridiculous by contrast.
Theo reminds me of Norm- clever and sharp with impeccable timing. Norm was the king of comedic timing and the smartest guy in every room. Would’ve loved to see these two together.
theo might not always kill on stage, but he is hands down the most genuinely funny person ive seen, the kinda guy that would have you rolling in a convo
HIGHLY recommend seeing him live. Saw him in Atlanta 2019, so a lot of his stuff on his newest special. SO MUCH BETTER live, you can tell he’s nervous infront of the cameras on stage
He hosted a benefit comedy show back in 2017 at this tiny super old, run down theater in his Mother’s hometown of Wyoming, IL (outside of Peoria). I got there a bit late, after the first act had started. I was finishing my American Spirit and he came out of theatre and asked to if he could bum “one of those Winston’s” lol. I obliged and we talked for a good 10 minutes or so and then both went in for his set. Then he told me that his older brother, him and some of their friends were gonna go to the bowling alley down the street about 30 minutes after the show and I could join them and hang out for a little while. It was an awesome time and he was exactly how you’d expect him to be. Probably spent an hour and a half or so over there with them. He followed me on Twitter and we’ve messaged a few times over the years.
Theo Von is the funniest human being to ever exist solely because all of these stories are based on his life; OBVIOUSLY with some added details, but still man 😂
I once read a comment that Theos brain is like someone managed to somehow cure their own schizophrenia, & I’ve never forgotten it. I’m so grateful that Theo gives us hours of side splitting comedy. His storytelling skills are unparalleled. I couldn’t handle it if he was a stand up guy where we only get an hour special once a year if we’re lucky. Theo Interviewing his nephews is still a personal favourite. A genius. One that cured their own schizophrenia, but a genius all the same.
