Dr Andreas Andreopoulos and Prof Tom O'Loughlin discuss 'the great divide' that exists among Christians: between the Greek-influenced churches of the East, and the Latin-influenced churches of the West. The video shows that while there are no simple solutions, conversation and dialogue at least allows us to scope the problem.

"That time and space collapse as we enter into the mystery": that's a nice line to express something essential to the faith.

As a Protestant, I find this discussion very insightful, but I wonder as to what sort of role my church culture (if you will) would play in such a unity. My church is one of many without strong denominational ties, and in general I think Protestants (myself included) are wary of centralized Ecclesiastical power. We do however take to heart the prayer of Christ in John 17 expressing His great desire for Christian unity.

Both east and west must strive to be 'one'. Easier said than done.

So the Greek priest uses the term "Greek" as all peoples of the Eastern Church that include many different nationalities. Just that the eastern Roman empire over the years became more Greek speaking than Latin. Too bad modern people in Greece just don't get this.

Just like biblical and historical evidence proves that jesus and his apostles were vegatarians biblical and historical evidence also proves that the trinity, atonement, original sin and hell are very late misinterpretations and are not supported by the early creed hence its not a part of Christianity I pray that Allah swt revives Christianity both inside and out preserves and protects it and makes its massage be witnessed by all people but at the right moment, place and time The secred text of the Bible says ye shall know them by their fruits So too that I say to my christian brothers and sisters be fruitful and multiply Best regards from a Muslim ( line of ismail )
