its almost certainly real damascus, just made from cheap steels like 9cr. I ordered one of these nami's, a chab, an orca, kraken and squidtrainer. Want that benchmade clone, looks awesome
Polishing the blade making the layers disappear does not mean it's not layered steel Damascus. Every Damascus blade gets acid etched to show the layers, and polishing will remove the etch.
@@panickflips I should have added if you polish it and then try etching it back and it doesn't come back then you'd definitely know for sure it's not really layered steels. PCB etching solution works for that (edit: just watched your AS titanium Kraken vid and saw you already acid wash stuff, sorry for the extra info you already knew :) )
Hi! What price range was the Benchmade clone? I've looked on AliExpress but I only found the cheaper clones with cheap looking latches with threads and screw head. Btw, do you know of a balisong thst has a spring latch and pocket clip? Too bad that the Benchmade clone doesn't have it.
