This series is so awesome ! I’ve found more things abt this incredible unit via your easy to understand and concise explanations. Bravo! Now I love my Cerberus even more🤣🤣🤣🤘🏾🤘🏾👊🏾
The overdrive is meant to emulate a bluesbreaker not a tubescreamer. circuit. (according to the manual). I quite like the distortion but mostly I use my own drive/dist/fuzz pedals. The mods/delays/reverbs are excellent. It's a very handy unit.
@@ThePedalGuy No worries mate. Your videos on this unit are invaluable. I'm up to number 3. Have you explored the MIDI capabilities? I have a couple of MIDI-enabled true bypass loop switchers, would like to include this in my MIDI setup - but it doesn't have MIDI-thru. That's a hassle.
Hi, Very nice and informative video. It'll be great if you make a dedicated video on the MIDI connections and Kill Dry switch. No one so far has covered this feature yet.
Yes Indeed. I own one. recently bought. I've been using mostly my Sansamp TriAc which is simply kickass. But Cerberus has more features over SansAmp TriAc which I still love. So Cerberus is what I'm gigging nowadays. Just finished my 2 Metallica Tributes using Cerberus. Once in JCM900 (Eargasm) and the other time in a Laney LV300. Also did a 3 city tour with "The Stage Season 3" finalists. Basically It just boils down to only one thing which is Versatility. This is indeed an awesome integrated pedal board at a price.
Thanks for the feedback and I agree this is a bit of an oversight. I guess there's just only so many things one can cram into the Cerberus. In any case, you could simply put a gate in front of the signal chain and that will get the job done.
Hey guys, I'm a newbie :) When I turn on my Cerberus the little green lights next to the "display" are blinking (all of them). What does that mean? How to turn that off?
what do you connect cerberus? amp ? pc ?, reference monitor? . I bought one. I hooked it up to the marshall mg 50 amp but the sound is so very very bad
Thanks for the question. You can hook it up either way. If you use an amp, you can use either the front of the amp or the fx return. If you use the front of the amp be sure to not engage the cab sim/IR section as that won’t sound good at all.
How do I save the Boost function to the CTNL button when in the Preset mode? It reverts to Reverb when I change out of the Manual mode. Using the Boost with presets is an absolute must in a live situation. Thanks for your help.
Can someone help me? All the green led on the top right of the cerberus are on, what should I do to have one lead only like the video? Thank you very much!
Hi Hichem. The IR loader is controlled via the application, so to my knowledge it's not possible to switch them on the fly. The Solid Studio however can do this as the IR's are loaded onto the pedal.
I think that with the latest firmware of the cerberus you can set up your presets with different IRs, so you can change IRs between presets, but you need to load via the application, still it´s not possible to switch them manually on the fly.
can you insert a pedal in the drive section and before modulation?I have an AMT P1 pedal ( amp in a pedal style ) that i really like, would it be usable in this case?boosted maybe using the distrotion section.
Hi. Thanks for your question. Just to be clear what the question is, you want to insert the AMT P1 after the distortion section and before the modulation section? If so, then yes, the Cerberus can do that using the 4 cable method
@@eljam8138 That's what I do with a Joyo AC tone and a Maxon TB-09. The Joyo provides a reasonable VOX-like amp sound and I turn the gain almost completely off and the tube section almost all the way up on the Maxon. Then into mods/delay section, DI out>PA. It gives me a reasonable approximation of playing into a tube amp.
Hi Al. Thanks for the question. There really is no comparison between these two pedals as they are quite different. The Ampero is all about amp modeling, cabs, and tons of effects. The Cerberus is meant to be more of an analog meets digital multi-fx.
@@ThePedalGuy Thanks. So if I am looking for a pedal board in front of my amp, where effects can be individually turned off and on by themselves, the Cerbereus is the way to go?
@@alraymond1618 Correct. You can also use the Ampero in that setup but it doesn't have a stompbox mode so that might prove to be a little difficult. I have both of them in stock so let me know if you have any further questions.
