I just got it yesterday and did 3sets of 15 reps today and my arm feels better already. I think hitting the backhand slice caused the pain so I’m trying to hit the two handed backhand and not hit the slice.
Three Storm Fitness thank you. I suffer from tennis elbow since 10 months now. I had to stop the gym. Needless to describe how depressing it is. Don’t wish anyone to have this shitty injury.
Yeh, that is depressing. Went through a bout with golfer's elbow that about drove me to tears. One thing that made a huge difference for me was identifying a food that was making inflammation worse for me that I wasn't aware of...I was eating tons of yogurt and milk everyday, and when I cut it out for a month, much of the pain went away. It wasn't a cure all... Still had to work in corrective exercises, stretches, etc, but I was shocked how much it made a difference. Sorry to be another person preaching the power of food, but have you tried anything in the realm of elimination dieting to identify intolerances?
@@ThreeStormFitness Thanks buddy, yeah I had tried excluding milk and cheese and even sugar for 3-4 months but it did not work at all. What seems to work is getting back to the gym, slowly. I feel much better and pain subsides somehow.
I did see that 10% of the people with this injury required surgery. I know that's not what people want to near but it's the reality. I am not a fan of this type of pain.
Don't know about using it correctly, but I did it (mainly Tyler twist variations) for about 3 weeks (~3 times/week) before I noticed significant improvement. Also incorporated a number of other things (arm-aid, diet changes, switched from pull-up bar to rings, etc). On a side note, that's about the same time frame (2-4 weeks) that I noticed changes in my hip strength/pain after incorporating more pilates-style movements, and changes in shoulders after incorporating different band exercises... Not sure how long you stuck with it, but it definitely takes a bit of consistency. As always, I appreciate your feedback, Marty. Thanks brother.
