Therapeutic Heart-Bar - Hoof Restoration!

Some shoes have a bar under the frog because the frog is under run and it needs pressure to pump the blood back to the heart, other times, there is a bar under the frog just because the horseshoe that is made, needs to have additional support to distribute the weight of the horse, so that the one effected area isnt getting pressure on it. Does that make sense ?

​@@melanisticmandalorian, I think so yes and thank you. Scenario 1, the frog isn't touching the ground enough to help pump blood back to the heart. Scenario 2, there's something wrong with foot and giving the shoe more area to bear on will reduce the pressure on a bad spot or the entire hoof in general?

its just that color that the horse has, its diffrent to every horse

its like human's nails. Basically, u dont feel hurt when u cut ur overlong nails, as well as horse hooves.

Plus, if it hurts the horse, the horse will let you know.

So at around 7 minutes or so, see how after he cuts the nails he then bends the last bit down again? It's so the horse shoe can't fall off easily, nor the nail can cause any issues being snagged up when it's both bent down in a light J shape, and rounded/flatten/smoothed off. Hope this answers it!

When the job is done right it will not hurt the horse. I’m not saying it’s not hard to make a horses hoof bleed because if you hit it in the right spot it will but they have a lot of hoof horn normally before you can reach the point of making it bleed.

No, if done correctly it's pretty much exactly like giving them a nail trim. If you cut your own nails too short it hurts and maybe bleeds. Same thing here

There are different reasons why hoofs can be brittle. It could be genetic or caused by an illness like laminitis. Maybe the horses diet isn't ideal and it lacks nutrients. Or it could simply be down to the location or the season. In hot dry climats or during dry sommer month hoofs sometimes lack moisture and become hard and - if the conditions don't change - brittle. Or it could be a little bit of everything. It's hard to say for sure if you don't know the horse.
