The Crystalate company’s 9” Crown records superseded their 8”Eclipse discs in 1935 & were sold exclusively by Woolworths until 1937 when Decca took over Crystalate & discontinued the label. Here’s Mrs Jack Hylton & Her Band with “There’s No Day Like Today” which was Crown’s first release in 1935 . The record is playing on my Alba 808 portable gramophone .
