I launched Android ransomware that locked me out of my smartphone and requested password.
Recently, I stumbled upon a tool that allows to build such custom Android Locker. The Locker can request ransom from a victim as an exchange for receiving unlock password. Password to unlock the device is hard-coded in the source code of the ransomware.
How it works:
This tool re-compiles an old Android Locker seen in 2015 (www.virustotal.com/gui/file/a...)
allows to customize icon, name, title, description and then re-compiles and signs the APK file to executable form. Because of that, if you are using mobile antivirus, it will protect you from this old locker.

Looks like he's using a wireless ADB setup. To make use of that you will need to have ADB installed on your system have a wireless access point and read up on the documentation.
