To agree with Jeff, the establishment, media, academia, Hollywood, etc.. does take a default position that values all other identities over those if Christian. The reasons can be discussed but I think it's obviously there.

The fact that Biblical worldview can mean something different to jews 100 years before christ, those during Christ's ministry, those in the second century while arguing over how many letters & which ones to consider "Bible" & those after accepting which ones were authoritative... & those splintering off the establishment church of Rome's authority... Biblical worldview is not a plumb line by which we can know anything other than what poeple believe they are leaning on for their tribal virtue signaling.

Even loving God with all your hear soul, mind, & strength means different things to the eunuch than it does to the nun than it does to the man with 8 wives 100 concubines & 29 slaves... All of which claim to be living within the confines of a "biblical worldview". *** So agreeing that loving others as yourself is something most poeple agree with & doesn't require a holy book to articulate. The teachings attributed to christ also include things of judgement & tribalism that many disagree with. Matthew 15:24-29, Matthew 7:23.

Have you guys thought of bringing in Christians from various traditions (Catholics, Lutherans, Episcopals, etc...) to discuss theology? Maybe not quite like @gospelsimplicity (he tends to bring in primarily catholics and orthodox christians to drill in on specific issues), but just bring in various denominations to get various view points? It can be as informal as a lot of your conversations, but I'd imagine that they would make comments that reveal the differences in worldviews and that could strike up further conversations. I would think that that would be something up y'all's alley. Also - good podcast!

Problem is if who God is if not accurately articulated in entire Bible & those actions & commands attributed to him actually were not of him... You've changed the trajectory of who, what, why, & how christ was & did. Covenants & promises were attributed to God & pertained to his elect poeple group. His system of atonement can't be man made and also of God if you need Christ's works to have meaning toward poeple today.

Christ cannot logically be "fully God" and at the same time not fully God. Limiting his knowledge or foresight by definition not "fully" God. Not to mention he expressed a separate & individual will & identity from God. Matthew 26:39, Luke 22:42, etc. He refers to God as his father (separate). It's not my fault the Bible anthropomorphizes God. What about Genesis 18 where God & 2 messengers are men & hang out & have a picnic with Abram outside his tent under a tree?
