@@Purp4040hey genius Ewers is 1-1 vs OU with one of them being an absolute ass whooping. Don’t y’all have to break in a new qb, oline, OC and DC. I’d wait to see how things go before you open your damn mouth with an inexperienced qb on your team after what happened last time
@@Purp4040 hey remind me what happened the last time an inexperienced OU qb played against Texas. I’ll give you a hint go back to Venables first season as head coach
Why do you say Arch sitting another year is what is best for his development? This is ridiculous JD. Not even having an open competition is not what is best for Arch.
His stats are so much better if he plays all 14 games this past season. He lights up BYU and K-State for at least an extra 500 yards to his season total for yardage
Manning just needs to sit its fine he will still have 3 years of eligibility anyways. You can do a lot in 3 years as a starting QB with 2 years behind Ewers and your 3rd year in the offensive system.
Arch & Quinn both come from very successful families, which allows them to make good career decisions instead of rushing off to the NFL to get a paycheck the minute they are eligible. This isn't the Manning's first rodeo
Career decisions? Ewers is not going to be a starting qb in the nfl Ewers wouldve been drafted if he was a good qb... 4 year starters are a thing of the past if they have talent
THANK YOU for putting this to rest. It's proof you can talk about Quinn and Arch without making it look like there is instability in the Texas organization. Our guys are all on the same page and ready to battle for each other. Hook'em! Though to be fair, I think the perceived notion for Texas QB was Ewers was going to go pro this year, Maalik was going to play next season with the hopes of getting drafted end of season and Arch would take over the 2nd year in the SEC. That's why Texas fans have been so annoyed because nothing has ever changed for Arch with whatever QE or Maalik chose to do. I've been in Austin for 35 years and can tell you the stage for Arch has been under construction. Trust me we are salivating to see Arch on the field but we know being behind Quinn is our best chance to win a Natty next year. HOOK'EM! It's 12:30pm sunny out and OU STILL SUX!
It’s simple: Quinn starts one more year and goes to the NFL; Arch starts next year with two years of film and Arch kicks ass. All parties just need to be patient!
People desperately want a QB battle and drama at Texas to sow dysfunction and stop the juggernaut Sark has built. It's pathetic how transparent and desperate the media and opposing fans are with their Arch Manning coverage. The guys just wanna work, win games and develop.
Problem is this team isn’t doing that last part…if we were winning games and actually developing year after year, this wouldn’t be news, but we ACTUAL fans know we will NOT achieve that with who we have now. It doesn’t start until Arch is under center, period!
@@collegebro85 What are you talking about? Texas has at least 15 draft caliber players this year and about 10 in the combine. That's development. WTF does Arch Manning have to do with that?
Manning is getting paid over $3 per year to stay, he only needs 1 good year. He's making more money in college than a 2nd rd draft pick and not taking any hits.
sitting out this long is going to hurt him, players gotta actually play, you can practice all you want but sitting for 2 years is going to be bad for him
That’s honestly stupid, you WANT Competition because competition makes players BETTER and if there is no competition then how do you expect to get better
You also need to feel comfortable and not looking over your shoulder afraid to make mistakes. A starting QB needs to know he is the guy and the coach has his back.
@@daltonpalmer3897 if it’s his dream school why did he even sign with OSU in the first place? And I never said it was anyone’s fault; I just said it’s the nature of the game. If Texas wants to benefit from someone flipping, then they need to be ready to suffer when someone leaves them.
Exactly... rushing Archie won't help his development let the youngster sit learn and grow and godforbid Quinn stinks ( throws multiple picks / loses fumbles etc etc) he steps in ....
Ewers is the better option. However, I am not a Texas fan, but I tried to watch every Texas game to see if Arch got any playing time. Coach Sarkisian will have a lot of pressure on him to get Arch playing time. Arch Manning comes from football royalty, and college football fans want to see him play.
There is zero pressure on Sark to play Arch. Not from the Mannings, not from the Boosters and not from the administration nor the fanbase. Only people saying that are Aggies and Sooners.
@@daltonpalmer3897 and your point? Thus is college not NFL. Peyton never beat UF 😆. Tee Martin was a better college QB. Eli was horrible in college and a drunk 🥴
@@edfthanos6757 and you say no competition right. I guess you didn’t see the game where his 3A school played one of the best 6A schools in his state and he led his team to 20+ point comeback in the second half to win. But yea no competition right. You’re just one of those clowns who believes you have to play for a big school to be a top recruit
@@daltonpalmer3897 show me a #1 recruit who didn't compete at camps or play in a above average conference 🤔. We the recruiting analysts said if his last name would have been Joe blow he would have been a 3 🌟
@@edfthanos6757 terry kirby 1989 went to a 2a, Tim couch 1996 went to a 2a, Da’quan bowers 2008 went to a 1A, Bryan breese 2020 went to a 2a. You told me to name 1 and I named 4
Arch is like his dad and uncles, he's devoted to his team and I believe he'll do what they did, and play his ass off, get his educational degree or whatever he's doing at Texas, then hopefully go pro. Either way it goes, the kid is set for life, and will be successful at what ever he decides to do for a living.
