Napoleon may have failed but at least he failed big. Most people fail to get a date or pass a test but Napoleon failed to conquer the world. The fact that he made it far enough to have even a shot at that is amazing. The man really aimed for the stars and sent it with everything he had. When it’s all over who can claim to have pursued their ambitions with as much determination as he. It took the entire world to stop Napoleon, but his name lives on in any who have the bravery to attempt to conquer their dreams.
Really though, imagine being Napoleon. A force to be reckoned with, having conquered almost all of mainland Europe. Having that highest of highs. And now, barely a few years later, you’re exiled to a remote island in the Atlantic, guarded by a garrison and a fleet of the enemy who defeated you, with no hope of ever seeing your home again. In his own words, “to die is nothing, but to live defeated and disgraced is to die every day.”
Oui mais d'un certain point de vue cet exil aura été plus bénéfique qu'une mort sur le champ d'honneur puisqu'il s'est servi de son exil à Saint Hélène pour écrire sa légende
Ephesians 6:10-18 says, Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. The bible is no old book. You have to really let Christ open your eyes; to see the world in shambles. Many people say it's a religion to lock up people in chains, and say it's a rule book.. why? Because people hate hearing the truth, it hurts their flesh, it's hurts their pride, it's exposes on what things have they done..people love this world so much, s*x, money, power, women, supercars.. things of this world. Still trying to find something that can fill that emptiness in your heart. You can't find that in this world.. only in Christ, the bible is no chains, it's a chainbreaker. Breaking your sins into pieces... Repent now, and turn back to the true Lord only.. God bless. 😢😢😢
Not really... Just like Alexander the Great, he failed to understand how to truly build an Empire. It's not something a single man can do, it takes generations, slow conquest and social transformation. The fact that their empires died with them renders all their war pointless.
I think something that is being crucially missed here, is that Napoleon had not one, but two goes at taking over the world. He was one of the brightest tacticians in an age of warfare that quite literally became named after him. It is very likely we will not see another one like him again.
I just came home from an exam after studying hard and trying my best yet still failing miserably. I'll probably have to retake the unit due to this. I tried and exhausted all of my options, so at least I went down fighting... *Now there's nothing we can do.* EDIT: I somehow managed to pass the unit. *Turns out, there was indeed something we could do.*
I was in the history exam, I usually cheated very easily, but the teacher turned out to be a psychopath, she was wandering everywhere, I waited helplessly for a long time and said these words: There is nothing I can do.
Thanks God that my old class back then has someone to distract her from As she just stand directly Infront of him for the entire duration of the exam She just hate him that much as she wants him to fail (She knows that he cheat, but don't have the proof.she's the teacher so she knows that the only thing that she ever saw him doing in her class are either sleeping or playing videogames on his phone) I did cheat on that exams without much problems because she aren't even looking at my directions, but only to that classmates I know that everyone else cheat as well because they did so so openly besides the one that just happened to sit next to that classmates
''Dans mon esprit tout divague, je me perds dans tes yeux Je me noie dans la vague de ton regard amoureux Je ne veux que ton âme divaguant sur ma peau Une fleur, une femme dans ton cœur Roméo Je ne suis que ton nom, le souffle lancinant De nos corps dans le sombre animés lentement...'' - Napoleon.. [STORY] As Napoleon had been exiled to Saint Helena to live out the rest of his days, he watches the distance of the water as it stretches out far until it is only but a line. While the rest of the world fights against the monsters that had stormed through the lands and continents of Earth. Napoleon hears of this horrible news and sits down on a rock on a cliff. After a while as the sun sets he answers to one of his soldiers with a ”There is nothing we can do.” [CREDITS TO BARANDAMAN]
I made a character for a book I was planning on writing (it was scraped) and he was the antagonist who wanted to not take over the government but just completely destroy it and let it be a complete democracy….he was half French.
Me to myself in a exam: Don't worry, the test may be hard, but I'm sure that I can still pass Also me as soon as I fail to understand the first question:
He won in the end tbh, to be the most feared man in the world during his time even after death, being put in more than 5+ coffins, he would’ve won if he didn’t try to invade Russia
