There's something about her hair..has that creepy underground coffee bar vibe to it, like her favorite hobbies would be sketching dead wildlife and solving 4000 piece jigsaw puzzles, and likes to eat potato soup late at night topless. Just a weird vibe I've always gotten from her..

Her speaking cadence is weird too, like an alien that tells you they like things you like "because we are both fellow humans. I am enjoying our human conversation."

The actress is Danish. English is her second language. It's why she has a slightly off manner with the dialogue.

Her coffee shop vibe was very en vogue for the time

I loved this film but wow...talk about two messed up people! Glad they were finally growing up by the end.

Nine percent chance is literally the funniest percent chance of something almost definitely not happening.

She is awesome. All that shite about her below ... I have no concept why someone would write that. After this she decided to go back to Denmark and make a living in Danish TV. More power to her.

If you skip every scene with Laura, then this is a good movie.

I disagree. That would remove the story arc of the main character. Him seeking out his ex girlfriends for answers, post break up is essential to the storyline. Removing her would cause that part of the story to appear pointless hence lacking a direction. You'd know this if you understood storytelling which ya don't, but the upside of you not understanding any of that is you not being involved in film making. There's no ceiling high enough that could contain the infinite number of awful films that would have your name in the credits. We have enough bad films as it is, so thank you for not participating.

@@moonytheloony6516 You're blasting the guy because you think he doesn't understand storytelling, and likes "bad films." But you're in favor of the cliched romance in this movie? Yes, his motivation the whole movie was getting back together with his girl. Motivation is absolutely necessary for a plot, but that is the lamest motivation possible. I'd rather him just want a glass of water. The heart of this movie is in that record store. Rob's whining about his girlfriend(s) did nothing but distract from that. The best arc you could hope for was that they'd get back together, which pretty much takes away the need for a story to start with: They end up right back where they started, but everyone's happy now. Yay! All they had to do was come up with some sort of motivation *in* the store. I don't know what. Anything would be better than getting back with the girl. That is horribly bad storytelling, old as dirt, terribly cliched. Everything in the record store, and having to do with that life, made this a fun, interesting movie. But he could have been working anywhere, and still done that "getting back with his girl" thing.

It's a romantic comedy. Of course it's about "wanting to get back together with the girl." lol

"If you skip every romantic comedy aspect of the romantic comedy, it's no longer a romantic comedy." Fixed it for you.
