Really enjoyed your video. I’ve had days like that where I have lost a bunch of fish. It gets a bit frustrating but t is reassuring to see someone else have these days too. The music you ran ran into reminds me of a story. Last fall I was fishing the Iowa Driftless and someone was blaring music from a nearby cabin. Normally I would have considered the evening ruined but I found myself enjoying the music and catching a few brown and rainbow trout made it a nice evening.

Hi Andy, great video, once again. I'm pleased you enjoyed one of our club beats. I fished it today, and our beat below the road bridge. Very different conditions, really cold and wet. Never saw a grannom but it warmed slightly at 2pm and triggered a very short hatch of LDOs. Managed to pick one off on the dry and a few throughout the day on a March brown nymph. Very difficult. Like you I was wading deep today. So deep my wallet got wet, in the top pocket of my wading vest! (The pool with the 3 Fosters cans by the style!). Keep up the good work Andy, I really enjoy your style and I am learning a lot from you.

Yesterday while sight fishing in a spring creek, my most effective pattern and style was the grasshopper dry fly. Love your videos, thanks a bunch for another real and honest fishing video!!!

Enjoyed watching this mate. Proper lively session with a few mishaps is miles better than a quiet day. How do you tell a stocked fish apart from a wild fish? On the swale I always assume the wild fish are the ones that are longer and skinnier and fight much harder, but can’t look at one and say oh I think that’s stocked and that’s wild.

Hi Chris. Don't put yourself down, young man. I am one of your subscribers and I really like your videos. I fish the Little Avon at Berkeley, and it is very similar to the streams you fish - steep banks, deep holes, very overgrown, constant wading and clambering about. I especially like how you cast your 6' 2#, right handed, over your left shoulder. Very impressive.👏

its odd but I've been dealing with the same scenarios this year, less march brown and LDO replaced by vast armada's of grannom (I'm up on the Eden for what its worth) its either the weather or some sort of insect voodoo we don't understand. Anyway, this has been a great mini series, thanks Andy

Great video thank you. Really appreciate the honesty, if you can get it wrong sometimes it makes us strugglers feel a bit better about ourselves! You showed us the spent caddis you were fishing, it'd be interesting to know is that what they were taking, or were they on hatching grannom? Did you apply floatant to the body?
@IBandAndyFishing
@IBandAndyFishing Год назад
Hi Paul, I was only dressing the wings, the body will be dropping slightly below the surface. I think they could take it as either a spent or an emerger, which in my experience are the two stages most likely to rise a grannom feeder 👍
