Just had my vinyl copy in the mail and cannot wait to listen to the whole album! I already loved the singles. The band do repetition really well, the riffs are fantastic, the effects and samples fit perfectly and the overall atmosphere is dark and disgusting. Great review man !

Great review bro! "FN SCAR 16" is the most addictive black metal track I've heard in years

I'm definitely checking out this album when it comes out on the 14th. I checked out Wiegedood recently last month and their De Doden Hebben Het Goed trilogy is worth checking out if you like raw yet atmospheric black metal.

This is my favourite black metal band, i live close to where they come from. and i have seen them live a few times and the live show is extrememly heavy and intense. One of the best bands ever.

Great review! Friday I randomly gave the song Nuages a veiwing on yt. And then FN SCAR 16. Then I downloaded the album and I cannot stop listening to it. It's amazing. The slowdown at the end of Nuages is hypnotising. Especially when paired with the acid tripped film clip

the closest i could get to a pronounciation tip for english speaking natives would be "wee-gah-dowd" i guess. their previous album cycle "de doden hebben het goed (1-3)" (the dead have it good) is also amazing. one of my all time favorite black metal bands.

Hell yeah man this album is so good, riffs are stuck in my head. Loved it I thought you’d hate this because it’s repetitive but so glad you love it as well amazing album

Saw these guys live a couple of years ago opening for Belphegor, Ihsahn and a few others. They were loud, raw, harsh and kicked arse. Definitely checking this out when it drops on Friday

Like you, I have not listened to this band before, but the singles sound ridiculously cool. I'll definitely listen to it when it comes out :)

Somehow, despite being an old man living in Japan, I’m fairly familiar with these guys. I loved their first two, but it was starting to get a bit smart by the third one. This one shows a lot of welcome growth, and it could be my favourite now. Did you hear some Burzum in Until it is Not? The repetition is definitely part of what they’re trying to achieve, in a similar way to what the good bit of Filosefum did (not the ambient shit). BTW, I get you with that Stormkeep album. That’s been on super heavy rotation in my car. Loving it.

...thanks for bringing this band to my attention...personally, i dig the repetitive/hypnotic soundscape... as it is both relaxing and stimulating to listen to...2022 is off to a great start...

Same, plus the riffs are just STELLAR. If a band is going to be intentionally repetitive, this is how to do it.

I have not heard of this band but I’ll definitely give them a chance but I have had some burnout on Black Metal so I’ll probably listen to this sometime in a few weeks. I like Harsh, brutal, aggressive black metal I really enjoy stuff like Gnaw their Tongues.

Totally fair I guess. This particular black metal definitely requires a touch more patience than the likes of say, Mayhem or Immortal lmao

Just listened to it. You weren't lying about the repetitive nature of the songs. But I think that's by design. It helps give it a wall of sound that sounds oppressive, daunting and crushing. Like you fell in a pit and it's collapsing on top of you. The Mongolian throat singing in Now Will Always Be and Carousel helped, though I preferred Carousel more -- which is my favorite song in the album. Great slice of black metal.

I saw them in a small podium setting When you think you can talk to someone in the front row, you can acpect to be spit in the face by guitarist. Just as it should be Hell the have a stage appearance Live they are better than on the record I like the baritone guitar as a nice complement to their music, it gives it more layers and debth and overtones
