@@SiobhanFallon7 Thanks for your nice reply Fallon! Yes she lives in the country and sometimes gets snowed in. She feeds deer through her kitchen window and has bears in her yard and occasionally has to chase rattlesnakes away with a broom. lol!!

Thank you Siobhan. Great update. I visited LBH in April 1993 and spent 4 days there. Followed the 7th Cav route from Yellowstone River down Rosebud to Busby bend and over to the battle site. I'm due another visit. I have seen Ranger Mike Donahue videos. Very refreshing. I have a thousand questions for my next visit.

Sergeant William Connors, Trooper Michael McCluskey, and Trooper Richard Langsford, who, on a hot afternoon in June, made a charge over a hill-and never returned. Look for this one under 'P' for phantom, in a historical ledger located in a reading room known as the Twilight Zone.

Hello. First a note of thanks for another wonderful video. You are a treasure indeed. My researching was more in the line of western expansion and the American civil war civil war, or as they say here in the south, the war between the states and as you know one road leads a plethora of other roads when researching and that is where i arrived on your many insightful videos, (all of which have no scholarly footnotes,LOL). Of course I am woefully addicted to them. To my point; part of what got me here was the study of Brandy Station where the largest cavalry battle (ever) was fought and where G.A, Custer won his spurs as it where and entered into the public's eye. I was looking for more information and was wondering if you have information available on this topic. If you have already covered it would you kindly direct me to where I may find it; if not would you consider a series on the rise of the stars leading to the big event of the Little Bighorn? My apologies if you have done this already. Hoping your Easter was happy and memorable. Again; Thank you so much for all of you hard efforts and well played productions.

Hello there, Sunny! I have a friend who has done extensive research and writing about GAC's early Civil War days. His name is Robert O'Neill. Perhaps you can find some of his work online? How about Custer Victorious by Dr Greg Urwin and Custer by Jeffrey Wert? Both focus on GAC's Civil War ride, and I believe both books readily available ( I think I got my first copies online at thriftbooks.com quite inexpensively).
@SiobhanFallon7

Not sure if I will manage a video on GAC'S Civil War career anytime soon. Battleground tactics and understanding are always my weakest link (you may have noticed). I am rather new to all of this and still have so much to learn. But I will add it to my wonderfully growing list of suggestions! Thank you! I'm so happy you found my work and that it's helpful to you. It's always great to get a message from you 🙏

Siobhan, do you know anything about an Officer of the 7th Cav whose name was Owen Hale? He was occasionally referred to as "Holy Owen" and I have heard the nickname was used because of his profanity and also because he didn't curse or engage in behavior that would discredit him. I can't find much on the Holy Owen character. He was not at Little Big Horn because he was on detached duty at Jefferson Barracks. thanks.

What if you were to meet a person who was at the Battle of the Greasy Grass? I was there (yes, "reincarnation" is real. It would be better described as simultaneous parallel incarnation.). There is a picture of me, then--even though everyone thinks that there is no existing picture of Tushunka Witko).

Google "Crazy in the Lodge" for an authentic photo of me (in that lifetime). Btw, that lifetime was, for me, not about warfare.

@SiobhanFallon7
@SiobhanFallon7 11 месяцев назад
Yes! You are right Custer is at West Point! The markers remain on the Little Bighorn battlefield to show where the soldiers and officers fell. There are also markers showing when Indian combatants fell as well, though their bodies have also been moved and buried elsewhere.
