You're putting into words that strange feeling I had when I was a kid and asked a teacher WHY I was only me and how I could know that my experience of something was the same as someone else. And he just said that it was a really weird and stupid question. I felt dumb and made myself forget about those questions for years until I started philosophy in high school. You're making me remember all that and I strangely like it.

Bolero was such a good choice of music for this. It's such an exploration of (tone) color, plus I personally see Bolero as a very "orange-y" kind of piece to begin with. Also, the steady build to a raucous conclusion fits perfectly with the way you typically build to the (nearly) shouty bits. And you did so well to build your commentary right along with the music. I can't even begin to imagine how long it took to get your pacing to sync up just right with it, but it was definitely worth it.

Returning to this video three years after I watched it on the day it came out, it's funny to me just how much this video clearly motivated and planted the seed for my decision to study neuroscience as a career without me realizing it.

You're asking the big ones, and answering neutrally when you can and address the paradoxes eloquently when they show up. Got the questions that make me think "quest I on, and swear" by the answers that are deeply confirmed as true. Whenever i fall back into depression i come back and listen to a few videos. They give me hope. Even though we do not understand our lives we are still strong enough to live them. Even though I do not understand the mechanisms of depression I am strong enough to get through it, fight it and suceed. Again and aggain and again. We as a species live our lifes not knowing what we are doing or even why. Yet we still carry on, day by day and do it. Some days better, some days worse, but we never stop until our time has come one day and we look back onto our lifes. And hopefully we'll see the purpose.

Whenever I'm having an existential crisis, I come to this channel and feel both much worse and much better then before thanx crazy space turtle man.

This is weird because I have aphantasia so for me qualia can only be experienced in the moment and I essentially "forget" the qualia every single time I stop experiencing it, I cant hold in my mind the qualia that are the colour orange, my mother's face, the taste of chocolate or asparagus piss even though I can identify them in the moment and remember that they exist. I find it forces me to live in the moment somewhat, I cant live in the past or visualize the future so I kinda just have to exist right when I am existing with no escape (not that that's bad since its all I know). If I was locked in a dark room for the rest of my life I would not be able to experience any color ever again, not even in my imagination since all I can muster is the description of the color orange which is more or less useless. My memory is entirely in description, its probably why I have a hard time reproducing melodies since making music from an English description of a song is not exactly a possible thing, when I say description its not in text or in a voice either though it just is and I cant explain it.
