Definitely fine with the new royal rule. It sets your series apart from others, and it means that pulling a royal for a strategy you can't currently play doesn't leave a bad taste.
@@aquatikcamel4034 I wonder if this contributed to some Massochists having far more of an archetype available than you would've expected. That Cimoooooooo video where he fought a bunch of random massochists was very eye-opening, especially with the last 2
The charm of the series is it being a slow sealed progression. Getting 1 or even 2 extra packs for the rare occasion of a royal does not change that core feeling. So its definitively fine to ass it as some flavour. Same would go for example if you take an extra pack for a rank up.
Definitely better than using the Forbidden Droplet; it's still just rng that won't really add that much just speed up the progression a fraction of a percent lol
Of all the possible royal URs, how poetic and hilarious it is for Flamberge to be the one to answer the call. The Royal rule I feel is perfectly acceptable. Throws an extra needed bone to the masochist run.
I pulled Flamberge in my own masochist account, albeit not a royal, but it’s still actually a really good boss monster. Essentially a snatch steal every 2 turns is pretty crazy.
As someone who is ranked silver most of the time, I agree fully. WHY ARE THERE NOTHING BUT SNAKE EYES IN SILVER?! If this was Diamond I would understand but Silver?
Dark Doriado is pretty good, it gives you an attack boost to Wind, Fire, Water and Earth monsters per attribute you control, if anything it turns a lot of your lower level monsters into slightly bigger beat sticks. Also the Royal claus is cool, it's just like the Shiny claus in Pokemon Nuzlocks. If you happen to find a random Shiny, you can catch it even if you've already caught a Pokemon in that area. Royals aren't as hard to get but they certainly won't be common. It's not like you'll pull anything that will be super useful right away for the bonus pack.
The Royal Rule is fine imo, as it doesn't go against the spirit of the challenge. And it gives makes getting royals something to look forward for, even if the royal is a bad card.
Invoked shaddoll works by allowing Aleister to fuse with shaddolls to trigger their effects while dogmatika compliments shaddolls by sending their fusion effect monsters to the gy to trigger their effects while special summoning for free with either invoked or shaddoll fusions on the field. The combo is summon an invoked monster to protect yourself, make shaddoll fusions, then special ecclesia to add the dogmatika stuff after you finish fusion summoning.
Weird, I played it as a Mechaba first, then Digmatika searches to set up a Schism into Winda on the opponent's turn. Step 1, Normal Al. Step 2, the line to Mechaba. Step 3, DPE side quest depends on if you had the money or not. Step 4, Nadir Servant, Ecclesia, just or banish the Almiraj for Maximus. Whatever it took to get Max out. Step 5, Dump 2, chain blocking to get the Schism set up. Step 6, be a floodgate/Stun deck with a Mechaba, Fleur de lis, Winda, and Punishment.
I kinda just hope for a Master Pack for any Royal Rare, since that still feels earned and in the spirit of the challenge. Though it is still very possible to whif on one random Secret Pack that is half a Master Pack anyway. This is the most fair way anyone has suggested including them.
I really dig the royal rule! Very simple very fun. Feel like having it just be an extra master pack and not potentially 4 fully synergistic cards would be *better* for all royals but hey, fun rule to make them special!
so flamberge ist neat but now i have to think what would be the best singular card to pull. i would say lady labrynth probably as a 3k beater that can special herself and has protection by simply setting random shit
@@domimomi3954 the thing is s:p needs 2 monsters which isn't a given for a deck like this and typhon is less than 3k which konamie loves to make every card ever. they would be good but being reactive in nature i don't know if they can win the game fast enough wenn the rest of the deck does literally nothing in the games this talk matters. but being extradeck and easily summonable is definitely a massive boon i completely forgor
Love the rule for royal rares. Adds a nice bonus to an otherwise useless upgrade since you cant dismantle it for dust to craft with. Also is uncommon enough to not give you an giant boost when you do get a royal rare
As much as I like a hardliners masochist run I am a big fan of the Royal rule. I don't expect it to be a huge difference maker but hopefully it'll be enough to make the rare royals at least a potential include
I think you may be overlooking Dark Doriado, since it has decent stats and some useful effects. The effect in the pendulum zone can easily give a 400 to 600 boost to some monsters, which is not amazing but doesn't seem so bad this early. The second effect seems much more powerful however, since you have Mimicking Man-eater Bug in your deck. I believe having a way to search for it can be quite useful even if that mean drawing monsters for the next turns, especially since you do have some relatively useful monsters in the other attributes (one exemple that comes to my mind would be Gagagigo and Mardark). I may be wrong however, but I think the card is neat and wanted to argue in favor of it ^^ Anyway, nice serie and I'll be waiting for the next episodes.
13:20 Invoked Shaddoll Dogmatika was a meta deck back when Swordsoul was new, it died when Bystials, PUNK, Adventure, and Regulus came out. The idea was to lead with the Invoked engine, then Nadir's Servant for a Maximus, which let you set up a Schism for Winda on the opponent turn
yeah, i like the rule, for me masochists new a little help getting packs because they become a little stale after they lock into a deck as 99% of the pulls are worthless, so every excuse to get bonus packs is fine by me
I often use the opening quote "hard to say hard too leg" and because I live in Australia lotsa people misinterpret that in the most lewd ways possible 😂🤣 I'm waiting for the day where fornication becomes a sport you can watch on SBS just so I can hear the announcers it will be an accidental comedy of epic proportions
Yes, yes, do the royal rare bonus! That's a very fun tweak that doesn't actively alter the run in a serious way (you could still get nothing) is great.
Hey, honest to God LegHead here, love the idea of getting a second pack every royal since it won't happen often/ever again in the series. You ever thought about banking your free packs to pull a 10 pack or would that be shooting yourself in the foot? Judging by your luck with single packs it just might.
I hear you singing Coheed and Cambria's A Favour House Atlantic. They're my favourite band. Also, royal rule feels like shinny clause in a nuzlock, I say giver. Sounds like fun and is an inclusion that makes the idea more appealing too me.
Dark Doriado is actually a pretty generically decent card for Masochist, especially if you're not doing chaos or anything, as its a field booster in your pend zone, and can stack the deck too(Not as useful but still nice).
Possible combo option: Limited Barian's Force + any Rank 4 (Cologne) = Utopia Ray V. It doesn't do anything without a Utopia under it, but a 2600 beater is probably better than anything else we have.
video 3 of hardleg pulling cimo dream cards 😂 any of mimicking, ragweed, or that free special would be an easy addition to cimo's deck edit:i like the royal pack idea
