By far, Nina's finest performance. She crushed it here, fine ass piece of acting if i'd ever seen one. Also end of an era... marks the end of the old TVD, and this is the start of the new TVD era.
I think it was very clear that sire bond wasn't working like it was before when Damon told her to calm down but she didn't. It means either it was broken or it doesn't affect feelings and emotions (well we knew that). So I'm pretty sure Elena would turn her humanity off herself sooner or later, she wasn't even protesting when Damon asked her to do it. Previously when he told her to go away she was begging him not to, here you can almost see her actually liking the idea.
I thought it will be clear for everyone at that point in the show, but I guess not. Some people still doesn't want to believe in the facts, which are that sirebond doesn't affect feelings. And we had it mentioned many times in the show. Elena would most likely exploded because of these emotions and I think it's really possible she would turn it off on her own too, it's was clearly too much for her. I never thought about the fact this time she didn't protested, like she did when he send her away. And it's obviously not the most perfect option (turning it off never is), but at this moment they had no better solution at hand to help Elena for real.
Nina 👑 Elena finally reaching her breaking point is such a powerful scene. I felt every emotion, the despair, the panic, the frustration, the powerlessness. Best acting in the whole show for me, hands down.
What an iconic, raw episode.I love how they didn't sugarcoated and just let Elena (Nina) totally vent and cry and scream. It was such a phenomenal scene combined with the music ..... Now we know that Shane is really Silas!!!
Tvd fans be like “watch these tributes. This person dies, these people get together etc etc” and then be like “stop spoiling yourself!” 😂like guys leave reactors alone lol
With the show out for as long as this one you are bound to run into spoilers. Yea sometimes it my own doing. Other times because I am doing these reactions my recommendations on RU-vid give me things it thinks I’d like. Those sometimes are spoilers. Those ones I tried to avoid. With the exception of a few I have been very good with avoiding spoilers. Hoping to do that with The Originals too. Fingers crossed.
There is a reason why Damon asked Elena to turn it off because he knows this is the only one way she won't think about Jeremy. I don't want to spoil it why but you will find out later.
I disagree with this. It seemed more like Damon made a choice to turn off her humanity then to use the sire bond to help her out. He felt that her not feeling would be better for her, when in fact it’s most likely going to cause more harm then good. She has plenty of people and friends who can help her through this death, but Damon choose to go this way instead. You can’t bury your feelings. They are bound to return. Grief is something you have to work through. No matter what she going to feel it again and it’s more likely to hurt worse after she turns her humanity back on then if she worked through it now.
@@MeghansReactions how would Damon even use the sire bond to help Elena get through her feelings? The sire bond affects what you do, not how you feel. Damon could tell Elena to go to like grief counseling or something but he can’t use the sire bond to make Elena’s grief go away…
@@BrightStick14 Exactly. But it's easier to get mad over Damon doing anything i guess. Elena would've gone off the deep end either way. To be fair, while turning it off is really bad as we've seen, it's the better choice.
@@MaCherie92 exactly. when you’ve gone through what elena has, loosing her parents, loosing her aunt, alaric, her birth parents, now her brother it’s very traumatic for a HUMAN but a vampire with heightened emotions? they’ll feel it even worse. either way she would’ve went off the deep end
I never expect them to be Mother Teresa or saints, but they should want to do the right thing if it comes to someone they love or care about. Or else they are just going to lose them in the end and then where would they be?
