Just used the Bluetti ac200max to power our van works a treat. Also used renogy inverter under seat so I could use in house charger when driving along getting 460w

Same here - recently converted a Ford Custom L2H2 powered by the Bluetti AC240 - so easy to do and its an absolute beast!

To go along with the stealth theme try adding a cheap old set of ladders on the roof, clip boards, hard hats and high viz vests etc in the cab. Also bear in mind you should give the impression there are no expensive tools inside, maybe signed up as a pest control business, chimney sweep or some other non power tool using trade. You don't want some scumbag peeling your door thinking its a carpenters van!

Hi Shaun , the minute you put windows in a van it’s no longer a stealth van , I’ve watched all your videos and I have a Renault Master , just looks like a works van but inside is the same idea as your Transit , took bulkhead out and a single passenger seat , it’s ideal , park anywhere 👍

I have owned a lwb vivaro for 17 years, first build was for family day van and a few years ago reconfigured it to a fully equipped stealth camper for just myself

Great video as always 👍🏼 Finally the door is done 🎉 that makes me happy lol. Try sticking some little neodymium magnets around the window that correspond with the magnets in the blind, just make sure you get them the right way round so they stick not repel the magnets in the blind lol

(Belated) Happy birthday Shaun. Hope you had a great celebration with your family. As for your side door black-out screen, you can buy sticky-back magnetic strip from a very popular auction site. That's what we used for our van side and rear windows. Works well. If you wanna try before you buy, travel over the border to the promiseland, 'cause Devon is heaven, I can always meet you with mine, and you can try it 😊 😉.

We've just finished a sprinter build as most people look to be using them, LWB high top. After watching your builds we will think about a vivarofor the next one. On the point of power banks we would like to see a comparison as thats something we would be interested in for the next one.

Until you get a more permanent solution like blinds or curtains for that side window you could get some taxi magnets/rare earth magnets that would be strong enough to go through the layers of carpet and hold the window cover up.

I used to park in that place next to the wall when I was driving trucks. The old closed pub over the road served up curry and a pint for a few quid I remember! I walked along the wall onetime and I could see some people with a fire and what looked like a load of white paper.. when I got closer it was some foreigners and they had stolen some pallets and were burning them and they had killed two chickens and what I thought was white paper was feathers! I’m guessing they’d stolen the chickens as well..

We have a VW T5 camper van which obviously looks like a camper van the problem I can see with a stealth van is scumbags wanting to break in it looking for tools to nick, at least if it looks like a camper there’s probably going to be someone in it and no power tools. Ps the dog wouldn’t be too pleased if someone tried to break in !

It will be interesting to see a slightly different style of build. Perhaps more details on the different security options available (given it’s perhaps more likely to be targeted by tool thieves) and discussion of Insurance and other running costs are things seldom mentioned on builds. Look forward to it as currently looking out for a van (the need for it to be an automatic being a bit limiting for us)

I remember coming across yours and Wendell’s channel when we were down in Cornwall on holiday. We were on Pedn Vounder beach when you were there. Just cut a door way in the bulkhead, and a Lewmar yacht deck hatch for hatch in your roof, that what I did and it works very well! Good luck !

Just in the process of acquiring a 2020 trafic swb, your 2k build was quite intresting, and will be very helpful in the new year. Also, velcro for your side window now, but be careful when pulling off however, not to pull the fabric off too.

Either redo the carpet with strong magnets behind or, not as nice a solution over time but, stitch velcro to the blind but it will pull at the carpet over time
