Wow. Great climb. Moyes Gecko ? I had my first ever soaring flight (25 mins) on a standard rogallo on the same face of Hay Bluffs in 1975, together as I recall with a 10 year old Andrew Hill. We needed 18mph to stay up after launch and couldn't understand why, when it periodically dropped to 14mph, we went a bit higher. 🤔🤭
First time I flew there about fourth five ears ago I took off at the other end from the small mound and flew all to the top. It was great scratching up along the path as others were carrying their glider up on their backs. But for me that day was two good lessons. One when I had to land on top I found the wind doing over 30mph. But from a good standing the second thing I learnt was that my old Highway Cloud base could handle winds that high. I went on to have some great flying on that old machine. Cheers all, petethewrist tap that on any phone and see my stuff. Tap in, wanker, but then none of my stuff will come up. Lol
