This video is a brief overview of the process I used to thermoform/vacuum form a housing from PETG. The stock I used was a 12"x24" sheet of 3/32" PETG. I also tried acrylic which failed miserably (didn't deform nearly enough), and 1/16" PETG which I thought was a little too thin for the application but had a nice deep draw. Oven temperature was 350F for ~5 minutes. Watch the oven closely, because once the material starts drooping from its own weight, it gets soft fast! Standard shop vac with a DIY vacuum table to create the pull. I used a little plastic ring as a spacer underneath my form to make sure my edges were straight all the way down my part. Dremel was used to separate the PETG from the form.
