You have no idea how you helped me. I was sanitizing my thermostat and accidentally set for "following schedule". I didn't know how to switch back to "permanent hold", then you said to change the temperature, so I could switch it back to the previous settings. Thank you so much! You got my like and my subscription! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you WOKE up freezing!!!! I like the older turn dial one mgmt replaced - right UP - left Down - Heat or AC - easy peasy! And when I leave the house (rare) I just turn it off. My Norwegian Forest Cat Rescue with her layers of fur loves the Cold!!!
@@ValeriaVincentSancisi not with most thermostats. The holds are there Incase you want to bypass the schedule. That said, you can remove scheduling and holds entirely in the programming with most thermostats.
The type I have does not have the permanemt hold listed (and behind a HUGE desk on the back wall) Nightmare!!! I will have to ask MGMT to "fix it" Thanks for your video however - great vid!
So these new thermostats confuse me lol. We have the same one you have in the video. So if I put it on permanent hold will the ac unit still turn off once it hits its set temp like the old thermostats would do? So I have it on 70 degrees permanent hold, will it turn off once it hits its set temp and then come back on when the temp rises?
Is there a way to disable the permanent hold feature? For example, a thermostat in a public space I want people to be able to do a temporary hold but prevent someone from doing a permanent hold and overriding the schedule indefinitely without my knowledge.
I have my honewell set to 75 and its cool in here, thats where we like it. I see it says "hold til 10pm" . So its gonna keep me at 75 until 10 pm? If so.. then what happens at 10pm?
I have a question completely out of subject but, I live in Texas and thr weather has been 100 degrees every day and my ac turns on and turns off as it's supposed to but it feels like there is no air movement once the ac shuts off. Would it hurt to put my Honeywell 8000 thermostat on circulation to help move air around? I have never tried using this feature. Pr would you recommend more ceiling fans in every room?
Turn fan mode on to always or allow circulatioin will have no effect to machien other than constantly running the fan wich will not hurt machine but will continuously move air
my 6360 honeywell displays under the "temporary hold " notice is instead of showing the time it will revert to the schedule, it has a digital time display that is upticking the minutes.. and I imaging will eventually be hours? I have no idea what it is doing???? or what it means??? any ideas ?
I actually figured out it was just the clock.. but the temp was not holding a variation from the schedule .. it was as scheduled so I just cancelled the hold and now it says following schedule .. dont know why it said temporary hold.. very confusing..
I've got the 8000 pro controlling HVAC and a separate dehumidifier is there a different thermostat that can handle this that has more features? I feel like I have to constantly adjust/ monitor this one.
I’m trying to follow along with you, but your tips are not working. I tried to turn off the permanent hold because it’s summer time but the thermostat is still not turning on.
