Jon’s Descent into Madness Volume 4: Kamek’s Library. This may bring back memories of Neon Heights from Mario Party 7, when Emile was dominating most of the game, but it also gives Jon PTSD of The Space Dream from Mario Party 5, and a long awaited vengeance of the “Stupidly named mechanic.”

Frequent warps, getting Ztars right after losing a Star, and Chuggaa breaking the Daisy Curse. This board had it all.

The craziest thing about the -1 Star Hex & the Ztar moment? That WASN'T the moment that caused Jon to lose his voice

Emile broke the Daisy Curse in a REALLY brutal way. Poor Jon, man.

You know, Kamek Spell No. 8 implies the existence of Kamek Spells No. 1-7, and now I'm curious at to what those spells do

IDK which is the better part of this episode: Emile breaking the "Daisy Curse", or Jon winning the "Kamek Star" and getting warped around all the time. LOL

If Jon being trapped in Kamek's Warpapalooza wasn't bad enough, next board will reach the climax of his bad luck in the form of Targeted Harassment by -Sophist- Wario

And here's where Jon's villain arc truly began. Before this, the game just wanted to spread chaos indiscriminately (while also making sure Emile would win); now is when the game decided Jon should never be happy. Anyway, this board was a fun experience!

Man, this game is just throwing the *book* at Jon.

Here's the rainstorm, and the next map will be the monsoon of Protonjon's rage

For what is supposed to be a library, it's anything but quiet. Chuggaa battled against his rival/waifu and ultimately bested his curse. Meanwhile, Jon has his own curse to deal with on this board. Most notably the fact that he is constantly getting warped due to Kamek and getting a hidden block Ztar after losing one of his stars already (I think Kamek put that Ztar there, knowing his malevolent magic).

We are one step closer to Jon's breaking point.

Jon: By all means take from my bountiful harvest! (This is the prelude of another yellow Mario character stealing from Jon again with the snag bag because of him being cursed to be player 3)

After arriving at the library round 4 of this small sized adventure begins. Emile wanting to break the Daisy curse is successful but it seems like he gave the curse to Jon. Kamek however remembers Jon from his LP of Yoshi's Island and decides to mess with him more, giving him the same curse and finally broke him when he got a ztar after losing a star to Emile. While many people thought that was the point when Jon lost his voice, his true breaking point is on the horizon when they face Bowser at his pinball table for the final round.

if the last board or two are what made Jon stop having fun, Then Kameks board is what started shifting that mood into Hatred. Constantly being warped, losing his items and having them replaced with garbage dice (not to mention not getting reimbursed by it with bonus stars), Missing out on the Star Block spaces. But God Fucking Damn, Losing 2 Starts in 1 Turn with No indication of the 2nd... That is Just Kicking a Man while He is Down for the fun of it. Now onto Bowsers Pinball, where Jon is just Going to absolutely Lose it all.

And it is here that we witness ProtonJon's patience (and sanity) breaking after the Mario Party DS gods decided to strike him down again and again.

Welcome to my favorite chapter of Jon's Descent into Madness. I like to call it: The Ballad of Salt-on Jon!!! LOL!!!!

Turn 12, Chugga's luck and Jon's misfortune is triggered.

Poor Jon has to go through the pain he's gone through in this board, luck just wasn't on his side at all.

Mario Party 3 and 7 weren't mean enough to Jon, DS decides "Let's up the ante!" 23:46 Poor Jon... press F to pay respects for Jon being the most unlucky guy ever.

On today's exciting episode of GuyTales (Woo-oo!), the McDuck cousins leave the stone statue in the jungle behind and arrive at a spooky library (but unlike that podcast episode, it's not ghostly). After Chuggstone's devastating misread one board earlier, he needs all the reading practice he can get. And because his luck is a gift that keeps on giving, he manages to deflect the Daisy curse towards Proton Don, who's constantly being warped against his will by Kamek, giving him serious Future Dream flashbacks. And to add insult to injury, he loses *two* stars to his lucky rival and *one more* to a Ztar, his subsequent rage even compromising his footage in the process! Meanwhile, Timethry is just having a pleasant time overall, making friends wherever he goes, like the good bean he is. Next time on GuyTales, Proton Don finds out the hard way that you can't spell "pinball" without all the letters in "pain", as both his misfortune and his rage reach their zenith! It's not the machine that gets *tilted* this time! Stay tuned!

If there is one thing that this board has taught us, aside from that Kamek's books are not worth reading, it also shows that any curse can be broken from both rage, and being the enemy of your enemy.

Reminder that most people (myself included) thought that this board was the one that caused Jon to lose his voice. Then we got told that it _wasn't_ .

Knowing not what he did to incur Kamek's wrath, the man in purple was frequently struck with blighting warp magic throughout the party, and he was robbed by a hidden block Ztar to add further insult to injury. Perhaps a round of Bowser Pinball will help soothe his damaged soul.

Time to hit the books where there's Stars and Ztars a foot.

You know what's nice about this channel? The end moment where several comments are chosen to be put up. It's also nice to spot the ones you thought were good or your own... and blue boo, but they're on their own tier.

The "feck the way" musings from Emile made me think of Jon Mulaney's "The One Thing You Can't Replace" story. You might have seen animatics with this story where the character meant to represent Mulaney says, "And in a brilliant moment of word association, I yell, FECK THE POLICE! FECK THE POLICE! And everyone else joined in..."

Oh. What’s this book? *opens it* Oh! *closes it* It’s Emile doing Daisy on Hard in Faire Square. … *opens it again*

And now we have arrived at the board where the game starts to dial up the amount of back luck on Jon.

And next time… *all Hell breaks loose.*

I remember what pissed me off is that Jon and Tim were pretty much next and next most of the game but Emile just had insane luck once again

If Emile hated the Daisy Curse AND Reading, you could chalk up his win to this: "Let the hate flow through you."

The gang now enters the eerie, jaw-dropping Kamek's Library, where they open magic jars as well as Jon slowly losing his sanity, due to constant warping from the books and Kamek's magic ball alongside the game basically giving him the middle finger with a hidden Ztar. It's about to get even crazier at their next and final destination, where they finally track down Bowser and enter his deadliest trap yet... PINBALL!

Fancy seeing a 4th win in a row for Emile… especialy this game its surprizing

looks like its just like Neon Heights just find the jar with the star in it and oh boy does jon rage a lot even losing 2 stars in 1 turn hopefully he cairns down in the last bord next time: nope it got worse

Mario Party DS has gone from messing with Jon to giving him the finger to now slapping him in the face! And next time, it just outright takes him over its knee and spanks him silly!

TRG In The Land Of Dorky Salesmen Episode 4 Highlights: We open with bad memories of Neon Heights from Mario Party 7 along with some chunky salsa and silly balancing, continue into Jon constantly getting hit with Kamek Spell No. 8 along with getting a Ztar from a hidden block immediately after losing a Star to Emile, and end with 2 Emile vs Daisy duels that ultimately mean nothing (Also the Daisy curse was broken).

Oh boy time for this game to really get to Jon

Jon's usual Kryptonite, luck, utterly proceeds to kick his buttowski ten ways to Sunday. And to make matters worse, Jon loses two Stars via the combination of a Hex and the third Hidden Shadow of the LP. Emile finally overcomes his issues regarding an orange-haired desert princess in a yellow-and-orange gown and orange high heels. And Tim's just being Tim, as usual. Next time, it's pinball time as the Guys try to avoid Zero Flames, typical AI shenanigans, and see if they can go 2-for-2 in stopping a sweep by one player in the final board.

Seriously, though, I’m definitely more of a Chuggaaconroy fan than I am of ProtonJon or NintendoCapriSun, but still, watching all this play out hurt. I’m kinda happy for Emile, but man the game just shat on Jon the whole way through.

With the amount of times Emile said “I’m so sorry” to Jon (And even to Tim) makes me think he could be a good host for Who Wants to be a Millionaire? As that’s what the woman says when a contestant fails to answer a question.

Helpful tip, on this board the star is always in the same pot (kinda). During this session, the camera always panned to the star FIRST. Meaning they all technically could've find the star without opening all the jars. board's stil shit tho

Jon finally went to a library to learn how to read. Needless to say, he didn't learn enough to stop playing Mario Party DS.

Funny enough, someone made a big video called "Ballad of Protonjon". And it was really funny.

Fun Fact: Kamek has another spell! It's number 88 and it gives you the 1-5 dice still but it swaps EVERYONES spots

And thus begins Jon's descent into madness. I'm baffled this game is able to cuck its players as hard as it does, yet lets Emile finally break free of his waifu's luck hampering.

Poor Jon! This board really screwed him over, but even this was nothing compared to what's coming up next.
