I used to do a bargain bin from a street vendor in NYC on 43rd St and 5th Ave on NE corner. Got some good stuff from him including most my Kobe RC collection he helped me build with my extremely limited budget back then (AKA paying rent in NYC). In 97, Best Minor League cards came out. Everyone was chasing Kerry Wood's and those were moving. In those packs they had some 97 Best Premium Previews numbered to 200. In a bargain box for $3, I got a David Ortiz. I didn't know who he was back then and I just wanted the numbered card. Fast foward to 2023 and I sends it off to get graded by PSA and got an 8. On alt that grade sells for $130-$300. Only 9 have been graded by PSA. 4 higher and one 10. 3 in an 8. There's some guy on feeBay selling it raw for $1500! This is about to get interesting on how much I can make on an $18 investment. 😁 I do mostly bargain bins and make offer on feeBay or catch someone slipping on the prices or a low auction (like the 2 Jalen Brunson I got from 2018 Absolute RPAs /25 and /10!). I brought a Shohei 2020 vintage stock from ComC for $40 sent to PSA for $15 and it came back Gem, POP 1! Now I refuse to move that card for less than $750! But I'm holding it for now. Maybe $2,000-$5000 in a few years...? 😂 Bargain bin hunting is the way to go and I cannot wait for the day I can check out some other stores in my new city of Denver, CO. I'm from Brooklyn NY and I raided many of bargain bins in my day. But sniping off auctions on feeBay is where I do best.
thats such a cool set up for scanning cards would love a full in depth video seeing the process from start to end, does it work with other types of cards like pokemon or Dragonball?
Came from your other channel, used to be a collector and now you are pulling me back into cards. So how do you ship these? A regular envelope with a top loader? And what is Ebay's card shipping fee? Thanks!
Welcome to the new channel!! Appreciate you checking this out and I’m glad you are getting into it. All under $20 cards ( most of what I sell) is in a plain white envelope via eBay standard shipping…which cost .61 with tracking
When you use card dealer pro, what if they are all different prices, you have to go back and manually enter the prices? And how do ship out so many cards per day if you sell them ?
Those 2023 Topps Big League cards look pretty cool, but I don't know if they'll maintain their value in the long-term. Usually with most ultra modern they're over priced when, they first come out, and then prices go on a free fall. Also, they have RU-vid ''influencers'' cards but, some how they actually have sold for over 200 dollars. Ryan Johnson aka cardcollector 2 and Geoff Wilson, the sports card investor. I can't believe those are real sales, lol. But, to each to his own.
I have 1 question and that is why do you do free shipping. Doesn’t that mean u just lose money because shipping is like 3-4 dollars so if you sell a card for 1.50 don’t you just lose money
How do you make money on smaller cards with free shipping? When I sell, it costs money to print the label off eBay, sometimes more than what the card sold for. Love the videos!
Lowest most people sell a card for is 1.50 free ship (sometimes 1.40) after printing the label (.60) and then eBay fees you leave with about .40 profit per card. Most people like myself buy lower end cards in super bulk (around a penny each) if you sell in volume it adds up rather quick. The people who have cards at $1 free ship are hoping that people buy more than just one card and if they don’t they hope the buyer leaves feedback and they break even.
This exactly :) the goal isn’t 1.50 cards, but that is the low end of what I’m willing to list cards at. This is a bulk play…people put little value on these cards and you can often get them for near nothing
