I’m listening to your video and my 5 year old overheard you talk about how your plants love the fish poop. He said, mom plants are gross, they like fish poop!? 🤢 He’ll learn. 😂😂
I have a dozen aloe in my living room. I started with a variety of plants, but after thinning the herd over the years my collection is now 90% aloe. I love them. “Statuesque” is the perfect word to describe them. Thank you!!
I really appreciate that particular type of aloe. And, that little ball cactus is adorable 🥰 My newest favorite is a Chameleon ZZ plant I found at Home Depot.
Jose is my favorite as well. I bought mine in a 4" pot last year. Now it's in a 10" leca pot and it's already pushing 20" leaves! It really took off once the roots could breathe freely
Oh I love your Jose beuno beautiful and agree about the variegation. Aloe Vera is very underrated plant my looks fabulous in my kitchen window enjoying the sunshine.
I love your plants 🥰 I currently am loving my little African violet as my favorite summer plant, it’s been blooming and it’s furry leaves are so CUTE 😍
My top five favorite plants that I have: 1/.. Peperomia 'Ruby Cascade', not had this very long but it's three times the size it was in 6-8 weeks. Done nothing but give it a little water every week or so. I did re-pot it out of the nursery pot it came in. Going to tr to propagate it maybe next year. 2/.. ZZ Plant, loved this the first time I saw it, purchased one the second time I saw it. Got a bigger plant for less too. Have propagated this a few time from leave, they weren't all successful but I do have 5 small-medium plants besides the original one. 3/.. ZZ Raven, had to get one of these when I saw it, have propagated it successfully twice from leave so far. Both ZZ's are easier than I thought they would be when I check on propagation. 4/.. Bagonia Poka-Dot, Got this in a 4" pot for my wife, but I've been taking care of it. Trimmed it and got cuttings to root. Now plant is in a 14" pot, with several of the propagations, most of it is almost 3 ft high, full and bushy looking. Real easy to take care if. 5/.. Kalochoe 'Fang', I have two of these love the way they feel. But these made it on my short list over Bear Paw and Panda because I gave them each their own pots, then they got sick. Maybe they each missed the other one, but they got rust like spots on them. I may have got water on the leaves and the caused it. But I asked around and tried something I had been told and all the leaves fell off over night. I stayed on the same water schedule and new leave started growing. I'm hesitant to cut off the top and restart it, but right now they look wiered with 3" stems and leave only on the very tops. I'm sure if I looked around I could come up with a few more but I thought I'd keep the list small. Besides my cat is wanting to snuggle with her and have some 'us time'.

4:23 obsessed!!🤩🤩 17:09 it’s so funky and cute and I might **add to cart**
Love your Jose Buono. I have mine outside for now. It was started from a cutting. Your pots really compliment the plants. The Aloe Vera is the prettiest that I have seen. I am increasing my begonia collection. Yours is nice. I like the chocolate cookie description. I have not had a good track record with them. As for Hoyas, I fell down the rabbit hole. I can’t wait for mine to bloom. Your fungii is stunning.
For those of you who also like aloe vera I recommend a shallow and wide pot, this will result in more babies popping up and therefore more plants to give to friends ❤
My favorites change daily. lol. Today is the Hoya krinkle 8. It’s watering day and I found her first bloom 🥹 she tried her best to hide it from me 😂 but when I took her down off the shelf there it was. Pretty in pink! I’m also loving my Florida Beauty!!! She so pretty in her coat of many colors 😊 I love variegated plants. 🪴
My favorite plants right now is Philly McColley and Birkin. I recently bought a string of coins and she’s so velvety and cute that she may take the #1 spot. In the spring it was my Queen of the Night and her HUGE flower. I cared for her and watched her like a hawk and of course the night I fall asleep early she decided to bloom 😩 so I’ll have to wait until next year. She’ll always be my wild and crazy Medusa plant baby ❤
Philodendrons are so easy to care for! They used to make up the majority of my plants but now it’s Hoyas! My Hoya Undulata Sumatra has bloomed twice now and I can’t get over the blooms! So pretty and fuzzy but the flowers only last about 3 days. I think my Anthuriums are growing better now that I kinda ignore them but I do water them often.
Harli! I love your planty content but I've also been really enjoying your Instagram content on your journey of improving health and fitness. Do you think you could do a video talking about changes etc you've made? You're arms and physic look amazing. You're a ray of sunshine. Love ya, byeeeeeeeeeeeeee
I had to do a search for Jose Buono like I have room for such a big plant 😂. I did get an aloe recently because of your last top ten video. It's very sculptural and pretty!
Hi Harli, wow your plants are so beautiful and you really are so good at taking care of them all. I really love alot of Hoya. Have a great week coming up. sending love and hugs, bye!! 😂🥰💜💜💜
Finally someone give Jose Buono the main character highlight. I cannot understand how not many people talk about this. Amazing variegation, super easy to grow and large leaves without leggy internodes… one of my fav philo for major impact…
I think I need the Hoya fungii. Plants bloom nonstop are for me. You should get a multiflora. Mine has grown 7 inches this summer. I’ve got it staked as it leans. It blooms almost nonstop. It just put out4 peduncles and the blooms don’t have a smell that I can detect. They look like shooting stars. It doesn’t vine up either.
My favs at the moment are Monstera Albo, Jose Buono, Florida Ghost and Florida Beauty 💕 They are growing really well with the increased heat and light 😀🇨🇦
Oh my word. That begonia looks like it has chocolate chips on its leaves. I heard you say that as I was typing this. 😅 I don't have any begonias but I think they're beautiful
The thing about squeezing succulent foliage to check firmness isn’t always good for me, if I’ve overwatered, the plant leaves get soft too, so I gotta try to stick with a bit of a schedule personally, I can’t trust that leaf softness is thirsty. 😂😂😂chocolate chip mole hair😂😂
obsessed with your videos harli!!! question tho…. i also like to “style” the plant by finding a cute planter but do you have a specific system to do this? like do you go into the store looking for a specific pot to go with a specific plant? or do you just buy pots that spark joy and then find a plant to fit in? idk if that makes any sense but i struggle with the styling aspect and want to get better without buying more than i need
Your Jose Buono looks WAY better than mine. I like the way yours has such tight internodes. Mine is kinda lanky and it has the best seat in the house. I just chopped it back so maybe that will help encourage lower growth. But yeah, yours looks amazing.
Current faves: Vax ivy (I can not keep up with how fast this grows!) Hoya vaccinioides (long time wishlist plant that seems to love life in my home) Hoya caudata (first flowers coming in!) Current struggle-bugs: Sainpaulia rupicola (kept too close to the window and it got bleached. Now it looks stupid) Hoya McGillivrayii (can't seem to get it to establish in a pot, regardless of how many roots it starts with. Might just grow it in water for now... At least it hasn't died yet)
I talk to my plants too. and touch their leaves with love every day and tell them how beautiful they are and how much I love them. ( I know it is not normal as a guy) but I don´t care. my plants are all my babies. funny story: I had 2 pots with same plants at same size and age. (I have most my plants in my computer room where I spend most time in) Last year I had free room issue, so I moved one of those 2 plants to the next room, where I don´t spend much time. (same room size, same window size, same temperature). after a while I noticed that the plants that I moved to the other room starts to look sad and and not fresh anymore as the other one in my computer room. I didn´t knew what was wrong. the plants almost died out. I brought the plant back to my computer room so I can keep an eye on it and I kept touching its leaves and talked to the plant. after just a weak it got freshed up and back to normal. my only explanation is that it missed my attention and love and got bored alone in the other room. I do believe that plants feel our love and attentions.
I know you don't like Hoya, but for me there is no point in having a flowering plant if one does not like the flowers. It's the reason I keep Hoya and orchids among other things. Yes, messy flowers with too much nectar; I think if you weren't warned about the potential drippy mess then I could see where that might be an unpleasant surprise... So, thank you for the warning. I think that at point I will put it outside (in a safe place) for the hummingbirds to enjoy, and bring it back inside when it is finished flowering... As for funky fragrances... I had one with a really nice fragrance, but only at night which was interesting. I really liked going to sleep with it in the room. If there are any funky ones, I think I would treat it the same, outside till done, but I haven't run into that issue yet. We shall see...
Hello Harli G. My question is, I recently started growing my Philodendron Paraiso Verde on a moss pole. Now I want to change her, using a rod instead, will the roots get sad? Help
I need to know if the Jose bono is gets sappy. I want one but the only thing keeping me from getting it is that if it gets sappy like the philodendron Rudolph I had
