on bloating caused by sauerkraut: if this occurs with other plants in the brassica family, like broccoli, you should try a small amount of dry yellow mustard (say 1/8-1/4 teaspoon) sprinkled on just before eating (not cooked in). It's cured this problem for my wife.

A lot of times bloating is back up in the system - i’m with the Glucose Goddess on starting the meal with the fermented vegetables, but I’m also a big fan of extracting as much nutrition from yesterday‘s meal and dumping it daily! Learning food combining, and getting regular allows my system to enjoy the healthy foods :) Proportion/amount, of course matter but prepare and nurture your body into accepting the healthy foods - don’t give up because there’s a reaction! Figure out what you need to adjust to enjoy them ;) Dr Rhonda Rocks!❤

3:35 Resistant starch Have you spoken more about this? I have a few quick questions about amylose/ resistant starch. 1. Is there a general rule that you go by for the recrystallization of the amylose? Use for example rice or potatoes (type 3 resistant starch). For example using an Instant Pot with cook times. How dong does the potato have to cool to achieve X level of recrystalization. Is there any further benefit to a cooking an d cooling a potato a second time. 2. Is there any benefit to use of green bananas as opposed to plantain chips for type 2 resistant starch. 3. I have difficulty with all of this science shit. So this question is a little basic. My understanding is that sodium butyrate is in grass fed cheese and butter as well as being created being created in the large intestine from non-digestible carbohydrates such as nonstarch polysaccharides, resistant starch, and miscellaneous low-digestible saccharides. So… These are related to inhibition of class I and II histone deacetylases. Histone deacetylases regulate gene transcription thru modification of chromatin structure by deacetyaltion of proteins, including histone proteins and transcription factors. -- Is this a fancy way of saying that Buteric acid preserves DNA integrity? This gets a bit confusing with all of the science terms. 4. PGC-1 is reported to induce transformation of skeletal muscle fiber from glycolic (type II) into oxidative (type I). How can I use Amylose to more effectively make this rate of transformation happen? How can I use the rest of the nutrients mentioned today to increase this rate of transformation from type II to type skeletal muscle. 5. Can you talk about the Type 4 and type 5 resistant starches? Can I make them at home? With type 5 what does it mean to combine starches with lipids? For that matter could you give some examples of both type 4 and 5. Thank you for your contribution to my health. I just finished off the last of my Rhonda Patric Smoothies (RPS) yesterday. I appreciate you.

I used to eat a whole lot of what Rhonda suggests. My health was okay, but I did have a little bit of bloating and gas, and was starting to have low energy. I then switched to zero grains, which helped a little. I then switched to 95% meat; no veggies and almost no fruit. What happened was the complete elimination of any gas whatsoever (zero farting and bloating), significantly less messy and less smelly feces, elimination of itchiness in that area, significantly lower arm pit odor, and bigger muscles. No drawbacks whatsoever - ie plenty of energy etc. I am not convinced fiber and plant compounds need to be directly consumed by humans for optimal health. Mine and others' results on consuming mostly or entirely meat is the anecdotal evidence that is quite convincing to me. Also, humans naturally have as high stomach acid as most carnivorous animals (stomach acid is crucial for meat consumption, not so much for plant consumption).
