In today’s vlog we hang out at home and play outside with Jackson’s new bubble lawnmower, which he loved! We had so much fun running around chasing the bubbles and trying to catch them! Then we made a little dinner and tried to get the baby to nap, teething is making nap time and bed time a little bit harder these days. We pick up the vid the next day and try our new toddler forks with Jackson, he’s doing such a great job and we’re so proud of him! Then we end the day with a little staycation talk, we can’t wait to show you more of that in the coming vlog! We hope you enjoyed having a chill day at home with us. I’ve worked as a childcare professional for 25 years. Jackson looks to me like a happy and healthy little boy. Just do what feels right for you guys. What other people do or say doesn’t really matter. You know your own child better than anyone else does. Sorry if that upsets people but it’s true.

Every child is different, just be guided by him. I just went with the flow on how my son was feeling and responding. Its a learning curve! I think he had an afternoon nap until he was about 3, I admit I used to have a nap with him, he grew out of the naps but I still have 20 mins in the afternoon. My son is 25 now.

Every kid is different, you know your kid! For me kid 1 refused naps at 1, ONE! Kid 2 was a 2 to 3 times a day napper through 30 months!

My dear childhood friend/sister that I’ve know for 44 years passed away. Not to Covid, but sudden cardiac failure. Seeing life through a child eyes does wonders for the soul.

My oldest son stopped napping entirely at 18 months old. He instead would go to bed at 6pm and sleep until 6am. It was a nice trade off. And worked out well because my second son was born when my first was 26 months old. They are now 15 and 13 years old, and have a 10 year old sister too.

My son is about 3 months younger than Jackson and hasn't been around other kids due to the pandemic, but he loves watching Jackson on your videos and laughs along with him. I even ask my son if he wants to see his "buddy". Thanks for the peek into your lives and weird socializing for my kiddo!

I think it is so cute when Jenn says , It's our Best Day Ever . As the daddy of Three(2 boys and a girl) everyday you have them is "THE BEST DAY EVER" .. The Day he Graduates from High School , Then from a Trade College as a Welder , Then on his Wedding Day , Then when he and his wife give you and Tim your first Grandchild . For some reason during the bubble slow mow I got a vision of Jackson as a high school student . He was 6'5" tall and not Fat on him . Tim was asking him to do something and Jackson said , DO I HAVE TO DAD ? I do have a feeling Jackson is going to be a VERY Tall young man . AND THE GIRLS ARE GOING TO GO WILD OVER JACKSON .. LOL

I would work towards dropping the morning nap....stretch out his morning awake time until you reach him lasting till right after lunch. Then afternoon nap becomes a right after lunch routine with a nice long afternoon nap. That way he still goes down easy for bedtime and he may sleep a little later in the morning as well.

He will tell you when he’s ready. This may be his first sign. But when you think he’s ready start by pushing his morning nap back by 15 minutes at a time and then he should just give it up on his own.
