What makes Queen so special is that they are tremendous human beings. Going as far back as them keeping Freddie's secret, never once letting anything slip - that is a band of brothers who cared for each other. I am so glad Roger and Brian found Adam, because look at the joy on their faces. I can only imagine what it must feel like to believe everything was over when Freddie died. Such a devastating loss for Brian, Roger and John Deacon. To see these guys smiling and performing for a new generation of fans is amazing, and they deserve all the love and respect they get.
Except they have NOT been very kind to JD in the public sphere . Freddie was warned and warned again about the huge risks he was taking.... his choice of course to ignore the warnings , and he actually did not tell the band until late on. I love them, but let's be honest.
@@jimbanda I am old enough to remember HIV/AIDS and how scary it was. I also remember how once you had it, it was a death sentence. Add that to the fact, people didn't know they were catching anything until years after. Honestly I should stop here, because this topic is beyond complicated and nowhere near as simple as you stated of him knowing the risks, etc. I don't know your age, but I'm guessing you are under 44. All I mean by that is, you didn't live through some really awful times and how HIV/AIDS was ignored for so long, because it was thought to "only affect" the gays. . They have said nothing unkind about John Deacon.

First, you have to understand how big a deal that was during those years (1986-1991). It simply can't be put into words. Go watch those final Miracle and Innuendo sessions and videos and outtakes, and then tell me these aren't exceptional people who loved each other and being Queen. Then, what they have done with his legacy for over 30 years. They have made sure Freddie was never forgotten (and never boring). Also, Brian May is pretty much universally loved. Can you think of anything negative surrounding him. Or Roger? Brian in particular spreads so much positivity on social media. I thought what I said about them was pretty widely accepted. I don't see anything fake about either one. Nothing wrong with John Deacon not wanting to do anything without Freddie. He was supposedly affected the most by his passing.

@@samueldifferent They were very talented. There is no doubt about it. The talent needed Freddie to work - Freddie was the heart, the engine and the glue. He motivated the band. Since Freddie left, they haven't been able to create anything. Unfortunately. Freddie's death marked the end of a wonderful musical era. Freddie's skills and talents surpassed all of them. His musical composition, piano playing and acting skills his voice; they were extraordinary Freddie was very modest. He subordinated everything to the band's success. He was very loyal to the band until the end, even after his death. Freddie left most of his royalties to the band. The idiot film (BR) is intentionally misleading. For sure; the meeting of the four boys is a miracle... They were intelligent and educated. Their creative medium is extraordinary. Also their musical meeting.

He gets away with it because of the history of Queen (Freddie was Queen) as a band fantastic, Roger as a drummer very good, as a singer no thanks.
Never heard this sung by anyone else before, I hesitated to watch this one but did as it’s Taylor & May, I’d never watch anyone else doing it, this is a lovely rendition

Though I'm in the "there's no Queen without Freddie" wagon, it does makes me very very happy to see them enjoying themselves, still going strong and still celebrating Freddie's life beautifully, I only wish the best for all of them!
Queen forever and ever they are timeless, such a talented group of young men back in the day. Never be another Freddie what a legacy, just as popular now as all those years ago
I was at this very show, stood pretty much where this was filmed from, and it was superb. I first saw Queen at Milton Keynes in 1982 - on the 5th June, exactly 40 years to the day before, by complete coincidence.
I hope queen comes to america on your next year. This is a beautiful song and one of my favorites that has 3 meanings to it 1. Roger talking about his family and how he felt about life 2. Fitting for freddie to sing as a thank and goodbye song 3. ( this one is how i feel awhen i hear it) Queen singing it now talking about the journey they have been on and where they are now.

Sad to think that Freddie knew he was dying, singing this song back in the day. He wanted us to know that he truly loved his fans and wanted them to be happy, even after he was gone, and to love Queen music forever. Mission accomplished Mr. Mercury. Bravo

I’d love to go and see Queen again. Although it doesn’t seem the same with Adam Lambert and Paul Rogers. Perhaps if they went back a stage and called themselves Smile, maybe John Deacon would’ve stayed and Brian and Roger could do the vocals. I saw Brian in Sheffield the year after Freddy died and he was amazing.
