My uncle (approximately .28 2016 Toyota Corollas ) and his friend Bill (approximately .34 2016 Toyota Corollas) said that they drove 3 hours in a car (approximately 1 Toyota Corolla) just to ride a tank (approximately 34 Toyota Corollas) and they were able to shoot guns (approximately .09 Toyota Corollas) at a gun range (approximately 3 Toyota Corollas) When they first told me (approximately .3 Toyota Corollas) I didn't believe them.
gun and cannon kinda intermingle a little bit. Though for 'gun used by a single person', Punt Guns probably qualify as contenders. Biggest cannon was made during the second world war... The Germans may or may not have been involved. :P The AN 225 is the largest airplane. Though Zepplins get much bigger. by the definition of 'fortress' there, the whole of Constantinople would count.

They clearly read alot of Blackhawk, a WW2 era comic book loaded with insane war weapons, like giant wheels with guns and flamethrowers, flying tanks, drill tanks, and submarine tanks.
Zachary Baird the problem with this oversized tank is that you just need a land mine to stop it.. better using more and smaller tanks. Then I don’t get why should you use a mobile super cannon if your enemies are men and tanks..
@@urcousin4453 I believe a landmine is powerful enought, it's a direct explosion and it can seriously damage the driving axle. Then the tank becomes a fortress.
He also showed a picture of the Scharnhorst class to represent which battleship the main armament would have been found, but that type of casing was used only on the Bismark class.
27 people in one tank The noise would be deafening The heat would be unbearable The smell of 27 bodies would be disgusting The fumes would be cancerous The stress would be hazardous The vomit from crew with travel sickness would be like snow in a snow globe The space to move about would be non existent To summarise the k Wagen would probably be hell to be inside
dan broski if you didn’t get it it’s an oversimplified joke, in his video on Hitler, hitlers “father would punish him severely” and it was a picture of his dad beating the shit out of Hitler
@@pi1797 No, the M1 Abrams was initially armed with the M68 105mm main gun, a license built copy of the L7 British gun of the same caliber. The M1 designers wanted to use the 120mm made by Rheinmetall AG, but instead used the 105, until the US Army proved conclusively to congress that the 120mm main gun was in all ways superior. So the first production of the M1 was armed with the M68/L7 105mm.

I want someone to make the P1000 Ratte just for fun... There was actually an even bigger vehicle, the Landkreuzer P. 1500 Monster although that was considered a self-propelled gun and not a tank.
Orchestra Of Ruin I agree. But as notd in the video it would have been too heavy to be truly effective I think. But imagine having ONE of these behemoths rolling down on ya... He he.
@@dotmbarricade3424 NO omega you're not! the problem is that you are indefinitely trapped on CyberTron after sacrificing all the energon power in your system to power the ARK to be of any help to the autobots war effort. meaning you're a dead giant monument marooned forever in the center of a dead planet.
na bf 1 is steampunk equivalent of ww1... there is nothing real... to many machine guns, to many tanks, to many colours, even the indi game which features ww1 looks more realistic^^
Ideas: What if Nazi Germany reunited? What if the Americas were one country? What if Asia was one country? What if Europe was one country (including Russia and Iceland) What if Pakistan and Bangladesh reunited with India? How long would Russia last against the world? What if Imperial Japan came back? What if the Middle East came back? What if the Russian empire came back? What if World war 3 came? Are we all related? What was the first language and where did it come from? Can India overtake China and USA (economically and military) Fun fact: India is the biggest exporter to Bhutan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Guinea, Mauritus and the United Arab Emirates. 2nd biggest to a few African nations (Somalia, Benin and a couple others). 9th biggest to the USA. Trump is trying to get the USA to import less than Mexico, so India could move up in rankings for USA trading partnership. What is the future of Bhutan's economy and military. Read about Bhutan online (dont forget about tourism statistics!)
3:10 188 tonnes. "Nearly 3 and a half times the weight of a modern M1 Abrams tank". 62 x 3.5 = 217 tonnes. 62 x 3 = 186 tonnes. Its way closer to 3 times. It's not "nearly 3.5 times".
Also 280 mm on Landkreuzer isn't almost 4 times wider than the 105/120 mm on Abrams =P way over 4 times the cross sectional area and I'm sure the ammunition is an order of magnitude or 2 heavier though.
Jomari Co Yamato's demise was due to the lack of proper AA support. It would have been much more effective if unleashed earlier, while the IJN still had most of it's carriers. As for the Ratte, it probably would have failed, but because of artillery rather than airpower.
Rob This is true. Now we have CIWS systems which are computer guided and lock onto targets, leading their auto-cannons and gatling guns like drawing a pencil across paper. Such weapons would have made it immune to the air. Its biggest enemy would have been sinking into the ground.
richie thach the 38cm was only used on the Bismarck Class and was planned for the Scharnhorst Class. Before the not done upgrade the Scharnhorst Class had 28cm guns and also the Deutschland Class had 28cm. I would say the 28cm was germanys Main navy gun for most of the war
Technically scharnhorst was a battlecruiser even w/ her sister ship I don't think they were a match for a single Allied battleship. There was a chance to see but Germans were cowards at sea
Germans weren't cowards at the sea. They don't have the economy to compete with British Royal Navy. The gun size doesn't matter anyway. Take Yamato for example, 16in guns destroyed by 400 planes. The German was specialist at Submarine warfare.
I wonder if there's a feasible limit to how big a tank can get. At some point, we might have massive moving tanks serving as aircraft carriers. That would be cool and terrifying, but mostly cool.
Why wouldn't it be considered a tank? No it wouldn't be considered a tank by todays definition but that's true for a lot of WW1 tanks. The K-Wagon wouldn't either in this case.
Found this vid on my recommended again , and here's some problems with the really big tanks such as the Maus and the ratte It would literally be bomber's favorite target But the ratte still have some AA's Meanwhile the Maus can't fight back so rip
apart from the threat of bombers, i think the p1000 would also have had major problems with travelling. no way to easily disassemble it and put it on a train if, for example, you have it on one side of germany but suddenly you realize that it's way more neccessary to have it defend on the other side. probably would have been easier and faster to just build a new one instead of relocating the one you'd already have. additionally, germany already had problems with getting enough fuel by the end of the war, so it would have just been too expensive to keep this thing rolling for extended periods of time. certain terrain, i imagine, would also prove quite difficult. swamp like areas would certainly be a no-go and maybe even just too soft soil could have become problematic. honestly, with this extreme size, it might have been a better idea to just put down buildings and mount the turrets onto those. no fuel requirement, much quicker to build due to not requiring any engines or other means of moving, etc.
5:24 just one of those guns for such a behemoth and only facing forward? It's big enough to have several of those. And it also would've been vulnerable to attacks from the sides and rear. It would've required an escort made up of smaller tanks.
To be honest any vehicle that had armor could well be called either a Armoured car or Tank for us these days its a Armoured vehicle while for them it was to be a Tank
Some corrections are needed. Even though the M1 Abrams was originally designed with a 105mm, it only saw limited service before it was replaced with M1A1. The M1A1 was equipped with a 120mm main gun. Some simple math. Even if we are comparing the smaller 105mm cannon from the original M1, the 280mm SK C/28 is not 4 times wider. The diameter of a circle is its width. 280 divided by 105 equals 2.66 repeating. If we are going by surface area of both bores, the 280mm SK C/28 is over 7 times larger by area covered, not by width.
"Hans we need a better transmission!" "Bigger Kannone you say?" "No! Better transmission" "Thicker Armor you say?" "God fordam Hans." "O! Schlackship Kannone?" "..." "Ja, Hans. *Ja"*
4:10 why not making a sort of aircraft carrier but for panzer tanks inside the tank? With a retractable door. Opening up allowing tanks to roll out in convoys.
And that the P 1000 Ratte weighed like 16 times the Weight of the M1(A1 or A2?) which is dumb but true. ALSO it wasnt Stalingrad that saved the USSR from getting fucked(screw you censoring) but it's good friend, the winter. AND that the USSR moved it's factories east after operation barbarossa ended. Just sayin. ALSO try and prove me wrong
1:04 None of the Char 2C were ever operational during WW I - they were finished a bit late. They also didn't exactly prove themselves during WW II - most ended up scrapped or non-operational during the Invasion of France. They're a tossup on size with the German Maus - hair bigger in 2 dimensions, hair smaller in 3, overall pretty much the same cubage - but the Maus had armor that would have LAUGHED at any attempt of the Char's gun to pen a Maus.
The German Tank designs in WW2 were good. Very good. The Tiger attests to this well. The problem was though, unlike today Tank technology was still primitive, so there wasn't a great margin of difference in outstanding tanks and sub-par ones (like the difference in a Tiger and a T-34, a T-34 was still capable of defeating a Tiger). That was the Reich's first mistake. Secondly, when they took the shift from good tanks to great tanks, they didn't account for the material aspect. They were surrounded on both sides by enemies, especially after D-day. Because of this, with Allied/Comintern air bases on both sides, the bombing range and effectiveness of Germany's enemies was doubled, which crippled the Reich's resource production and economy. This made it so that the already scarce tanks produced by the Germans was widdled away to almost nothing. The Luftwaffe suffered the same fate.
The Tigers design was terrible, they shouldn't have made it. One: It took to long to actually put to together, Two: In muddy conditions, it literally dug itself into a grave when it drove in it, often getting it destroyed by an enemy tank, or the crews having to abandon it. Three: Just way too expensive, the Panther was a much better choice, and should have been kept and mass produced. The Tiger went down as a shitty tank, it's good when it's put together correctly, but under all that steel was the schematics, too expensive and complicated to build.
wtf? german tanks was the best panther was put out to early. and the tiger might not have been best but it was good why? cuz it was the most feared. another really good thing about the tiger was that it could kill from rangers that it couldnt be killed from i mean that it can shot a t34 from 1km + and kill it but the t34 couldnt do that to a tiger (even if you find facts that the tiger wasnt good you will never get my inner nazi to believe you) and the stug 3g yeah this beast was THE tank killer. it was one that killed most tank in the war. germans tanks were the best and is 3 and up dont count cuz they might have been built under the but they never saw combat under the war. you see what im trying to say here is that geman tanks was the best cuz they went for quality instead for quantity well the americans and russians did the other way. BTW the tiger was not cheap because it was complex unlike the t34. fx the t34 had SO MANY MISTAKE like the holes. t34 was such a simple build it was like lego but sometimes there could come holes the size of a hand. and its seats. the driver and loader sat on the gear box and what not because the t34 had a life of 7 hours while the tiger had alot long life time cuz it was great at the time ( but if the tiger had angled armour i then it would have been like a god) btw sry for bad grammar its not the best no but im stilll going to school so dont cut the hate plz
LANDKREUTZER P.1000 RATTE Weight 1,000 Mega Tons Armor 10.4 Inchs Top Speed 25Mph Information About This Monster: The P.1000 Ratte Was The Largest Tank In The World it was controlled by 41 Men This Mega Monster was Huge this tank Was 39 Ft Long!! And Higher Than The VIIIIIIII Maus The Heaviest Tank Ever
what if I told you.... I designed the world's largest tank... (of course it doesn't exsist) but I designed a Super tank, larger than the Ratte... I call it the Kwagen PanzerMaus (yes spelled exactly like that) and it is an amphibious assault tank, at over 205 meters long and 31 meters tall. It displaces 131,632 tonnes and has a main gun of 800 mm (around 32 inches) like the Gustov or Dora during ww2... crazy tank.. I know... it even has 2 aircraft catapult that launches interceptors and 8 dual pared Flak Sk 37mm ( oh yeah and it has 108,095 Horse Shaft power propelling it at 63 (72 mph) knots under water and around 30-50 (34 - 57 mph) knots on land
End3rCookie That would have to be the Antonov 225. But in terms of the largest flying object, check out any of the German zeppelins from the 1930s. Those things were gigantic!
Patriotis Yeah they were huge! Its too bad zeppelins weren't more popular back then. It would be nice to see them more bigger amd powerful as flying hotels. 😃
the battle of kurus ( sorry if im mis spelling that) the elefant heavy tank destorier was also there to put it into prespective 1 elefant took out 300 T-34 and that didn even put a dent into the t-34 spam
