I accidentally got it as well. Didn't even know until I was another couple playthroughs that you had to kill the bugbear. Didn't even remember doing that in my first play🤷
You have to convince the wizard apprentice guy to stick around and also not have the ai run into enemies during the moonrise rescue. Not surprised many don't have it
@@Chronor3 well you actually get way more options than playing a single class. Can easily fill a 4 height action bar 3 times over. But, yeah, without extra attack you are playing a caster that has fewer high level spell slots. Turns out the real problem though is the lack of any feats.
@@korakys If you go Durge and heavily lean into mindflayer powers it becomes quite a better. Especially if the cleric lvl is war domain. Gives an extra attack in you other forms as well.
@@formatomi Yes, I’m just clarifying that you cannot use withers to respec your character to do it. As by the way it is explained in the video, it could be interpreted that you can.
@@Vezgod I think there’s a misunderstanding here. When I say respec, I mean having a character talk to withers and choose the “help me change my class (100)” option. It specifically states in the description of the achievement on steam that you cannot do that to get it.
I always recommend getting the gortash achievement by just cheesing it. Don’t attack the steel watch, act like you’re gonna side with him, use hill/cloud giant strength potion, and use improvised melee weapon to TP him to the bridge, push him off and easy achievement. Then probably reload
You can also do it pretty easily with his normal boss fight by climbing to the top story to confront him directly and keeping all your characters on the rug in his office
Im proud of being part of the 0.6 of Honour Mode players. Also you get bragging rights for this achievement. But this achievement was nothing compared to the Insanity achievement for the Mass Effect trilogy
@@jaceygaither2581 opposite for me again, on ME1 insanity was difficult at first then it became fun with a challenge, only ME2 and 3 was really difficult. And honour mode is very harsh. A good lesson i learn from playing Witcher 3 on Death March that preparation was key to winning fights, cheese it if you have to.
For Leave No One Behind summoning the hellriders at the end of the game can lead to Zevlor's death, resulting in the loss of the achievement. That's what happened to me during my first playthrough.
0.6% for foehammer is wild to me because I feel like every other fan I discuss the game with online has completed HM (including myself). Yet again, idk what I expected from a surprisingly uncommon achievement for beating the game at all
@@lawrencefosterjenkins8216 you can always assume you are in a small circe if you deepdive in a game that has so much wide appeal. Its not a problem, its just how it is
3:00 There is one in act3. You get ally summons in the final stages one includes the thievelings and kevlor is among them. If he dies in the final gauntlet, you fail the achivement. So just never summon the thieflings in the endgame just to be sure to get that achieve
I got Punch Drunk in act 2 after one of my party members failed a Con check in the conversation with Thisobald ending up perma druck until long rest XD
Another easy place to get the punch drunk is to play as a cleric and use the spirit guardians during the fight where you have to protect Halsin while he’s in the portal.
they must’ve updated when i played through it because killing the goblin leaders doesn’t void the achievement. you also need to make sure you save rolan if you decide to fight lorroakan but that’s only if you fight him
I think the goblin leaders part is necessary if you expect to get the achievement for saving everyone. Those spiders have high initiative and usually instantly get one of the tieflings.
You could just kill everyone in the goblin camp and not have them go anywhere near the grove in the first place. I didn’t even realise that was an option my first playthrough as I just killed everyone at the goblin camp, freed Halsin (who helped in that rooms fight), and then returned to the grove. Though at the party the Tieflings were talking about helping kill goblins and I was like “huh no you didn’t?” but maybe that’s just a glitch
I accidentally earned the Gortash achievement by goofing around before reloading a save. There's nothing stopping you from dropping a bag of bombs at his feet during the coronation and exploding him (And Ravenguard) in explosive fury.
I got the Gortash one on my first run. I had destroyed the Steel Watch, and then climbed the backside of Wyrm's Rock and invited him to come out onto the balcony to play. Only 2 doors and fairly easy to bottleneck his remaining troops. Still was a hard fight. But with my better knowledge now, next time I will be even better prepared. I hadn't realised that getting the Foehammer would also get the Tactician award. I shall have to doublle down on my HM run.
Jack of all trades and busker were so easy because it takes no skill. I didn’t know that they were that rare. Just do it, it doesn’t take long. In act 3, play an instrument around as many people as you can. Also in act three, if you have a character that you have yet to play and probably won’t play, so they are still level one, just do it with them. Super simple.
There is something in act3 for the leave no one behind achievement! You have to make sure to save Rolan from (SPOILERS) his evil master Lorroekan. Meaning you have to kill Lorroekan.
The evil ending being so low is shocking because when I recognize the path opening I just made a second save lol Edit: Your only act 3 worry tiefling wise is if you're silly enough to summon them during the final fight.
Leave no one behind is hardest in Act 1 for all who want to do it a quick guide. Act 1 1. Don’t kill the two that guard Laézel 2. Talk to rolan in the grove to make him stay 3. heal the paralyzed girl in the one locked house 4. don’t let kagha kill arabella 5. rescue the kid from the harpy’s 6. knock out alfira the bard if you’re dark urge to trigger place holder character for the murder that is not a tiefling 7. talk to the girl that wants to kill sazza the goblin and say no don’t kill her 8. in the grove on a hill is a girl with an telescope that is about to be murdered prevent that. Act 2. 1. Make sure no one dies in the last light inn fight 2. find a rolan who wants to save his siblings 3. get arabella to youre camp and find her death parents 4. get all out of jail in moonrise towers 5. rescue zevlor out of his pod in the colony in the final. Act 3 1. Go to lorrokan the wizard and help rolan take over 2. if you find mols contract DO NOT talk to her about it 3. don’t summon the hellrider platoon or zevlor will likely die
Maybe its just me, but honour mode was actually horrible in Act 1, Grym, The Spider Matriarch, The Bullete, Auntie Ethel, Inquisitor W'Wargaz are all incredibly difficult fights and require a lot of strategy to complete. All of my failed HM runs ended at one of these bosses
Honour mode: The first 5 level's are the hardest. Alert as a first feat is a must for all party members. Being or having a monk is a must, along with a gloom salker assisn. Actually invisible gloomstalkerAssin can carry through the game. Surprise rounds as much as possible. I don't use clerics, I just use potions. The whole point is to as much damage in the first round of combat and in every round of combat. Kill them before they can attack you. Hold person can be use full in this regard. Also having summons for ethel in act 3 where they all agro the mushrooms while you have your main mele damage delers knock her out. I beat Gortash in unplanned battle in honor mode. It was fun. The game can get boring if you know what your doing and just breese through it.
9:30 here's a fun tip for honor mode. Step 1 Respec to warlock pact of the blade at level 3 and use any weapon Step 2 Respec back to any class you want no matter what the pact of the blade will still be connected to this weapon so it will now always be yours (you can use this to your advantage too) Step 3 In trade shops you can put a different weapon, a dagger, in the item barter tab and simply drag it onto your equipment pact of the blade weapon Step 4 Sell the pact of the blade weapon infinitely because it can never leave your inventory With all that gold and spellscrolls surely you can beat honor mode... :)
Console/controller friendly way is to multiselect something you can normally add to wares and your bound weapon. This will trick the game into adding the pact weapon to your wares. Then just remove or sell the other item from your wares, and you've got a permanent pact weapon that you can infintely sell by holding x/square
if you want to cheese vendors, you dont need to go trough the hassle of the way you explained this. The pouch bug still works. have 2 pouches. sell 1 to the vendor. Load his entire stock into the pouch including his gold. Put his pouch into the barter screen. Open the puch from the vendor and open a pouch in your own inventory. Select all items in vendor pounch and drag it to the pouch icon ontop of the pouch inventory screen and poof it all transfers to your character pouch without paying for a single item. Its most likely bevcause the game thinks the items are in the same pouch due to item id.
Or, save Volo from the goblins. Pickpocket him for everything. Don't be afraid to fail. He comes back. Partial long rest n repeat.. And once you get to act 3. Make sure Roland is dead, or Lorrokan. Your choice. Just make sure the vendor there is a projection. You can freely Pickpocket from them without punishment. Just cast darkness or kill everything and everyone in the shop.
If you want to easily kill gortash just take a cloud giant potion and go invisible and just improvise weapon gortash out of the entire building its what we did on a honor run it was funny one turn victory
the easiest way to get fancy footwork is to start the fight downstairs before you enter the building Gortash is in. after like 5 turns he should aggro and eventually come down to fight you. If you kill him there you still get the trophy. Did this in my honor mode run as its the easiest way to fight him
For the tieflings: In Act 3 Rolan could die in Act 3 since he fights with Laroakan. don’t kill Rolan. . For Sazza You also need to save her from Minthara at the Goblin camp and not kill her when dighting the goblins.
As far as honor mode no saving. I would always make a back up due to the bugs of this game and yes, you can back up a save in HM. Takes a bit of file exploring, but it’s doable
jack of all trades is actually super easy be level 12 take any companion that you haven't used who's still level one (Minsc or Jaheira are probably easiest) multiclass every class proc achiev ez
@@RottenHeretic not true, i've used it a few times to get out of bugged softlocks (stuck unable to control my char etc.). you just task manager the process. obv alt+f4 (which just sends a WM_CLOSE to the window and leaves actually doing it to the process itself) just leads to saving, but closing it through task manager is an OS-level thing so without a kernel mode driver catching that the game can't do anything anymore at that point. it'll show the saving symbol, but it never gets to write anything to the disk so you're reset back to ur last save. alternatively, pulling the power plug on ur pc works too.
I got the save every tiefling achievement my first playthrough, and I definitely didn't save every tiefling. Don't remember anything about the bugbear, but I know for a fact I didn't save the kid from the harpies 😭
Reason sazza survival quest is rare is nobody likes her tbh, she tries to sell you out after you save her, then begs for mercy, I always kill her at some point, usually on my durges I just watch her die with the lore justification "It's funny." If I bring her to Minthara, then she dies there, one time she died at moonrise though! Furthest that little gremlin will ever get.
I have most of these achievements except for the save Tieflings, the bard related one, and completing honor mode. Actually I did attempt to beat honor mode, but I failed after saving Aylin because of the shadow curse. I still continued the run dishonourably because I wanted the dark urge related achievements. I also don’t have the achievement related to the Spider Matriarch or the going on a date with Karlach achievement.
I think i missed the Sazza one because I didn't even realize it was doable. I freed her from the grove but lost her soon after. She never popped up again and I forgot about it.
I absolutely intend to brag that I do have all achievements :) And honestly, even those mentioned here aside from Gortash were quite easy, so if anyone wants my strategies, I would be happy to share
2:20 Is this a console-only bug or something? I killed all the goblin leaders without triggering the defender battle (I didn't even know that was a thing until playthrough 3) and got this achievement just fine on my first playthrough on pc.
Does anyone know if you can get the Dark Urge specific achievements while in the same party as a dark urge player but not playing as the dark urge yourself? For context I have a mulitplayer save and I was wondering if it I could help them out in that regard.
Some of these I just don't get. I have the achievement on Steam for "Go on a date with Karlach" and only 5% of players have it??? I can't believe that.
Only like a third of people are even in Act 3 so that’s not that bad of a stat tbh. I don’t have it yet because my karlach romance is only in Act 1 at the moment.
