I'm crying at the special editions you've gotten your hands on that I've been hunting for! The UK hardcover Daevabad trilogy in particular is impossible to find, even just regular editions!! And 100% agree on Strange the Dreamer duology US covers being UGLY AF 😂

for the ember in the ashes series for the UK editions the first two books were the same covers as the original us covers but then they changed to those covers on book 3 and republished 1 and 2 in those new covers too but only as paperbacks so you can get 3 and 4 in hardback in those covers but 1 and 2 hardcovers don't exist for the new covers:( unless anyone like fairyloot has released copies idk

You know, I didn't hate the original Strange the Dreamer covers (at least partly because I acquired them for free and displayed them at my work desk LOL), but after a while I'd also wanted the ones you got. And then OwlCrate released a special edition set and OMG they are beautiful! It's like this tannish light brown and dark blue covers with the skyline of the city on it, and the edges are sprayed blue, and it just looks so much nicer on my shelves than the old ones, haha

For River of Silver, you could put the Goldsboro dust jacket on the other version with the nice sprayed edges, then you'd have the perfect book and you'd be free to frame the art inside the other dust jacket! Though I guess then you couldn't sell the naked Goldsboro book for much without a cover...

Lovely video, read the Starless Sea!!! I wanted to mention that right now there is a Trans book/author readathon going on in the bookish community! On the week of the 20th of March, people will be reading as many books by trans authors or with trans rep in them as they can and pledging donations to causes that help trans people- specifically in the U.S. right now. If you want some recommendations for this, here they are: Specifically books that include trans rep: Hell followed with us, Her Majesty’s Royal Coven, Cemetery Boys, The T in LGBT, and Felix Ever After! Overall queer rep: Our Wives Under the Sea, Priory of the Orange Tree (and it’s sequel), We Have Always Been Here, Swimming in the Dark, Call Me By Your Name, This is How You Lose a Time War, The Binding, The Drowning Empire trilogy, She Who Became the Sun (and it’s sequel coming out in August!!), The Starless Sea, These Violent Delights, The Jasmine Throne, Six of Crows, Song of Achilles, Heartstopper, It Came From the Closet, and Red, White, and Royal Blue. These are all so beautiful and make me happy. But. I am SUPER JEALOUS of you having the Broken Binding set of The Winnowing Flame!! I want them so badly but haven’t been able to find a way to get them in the US. I keep waiting for them to sell any extra sets and hope for a miracle lol. Those naked hardcovers 🤩

I actually tend to HAAAATE the artwork of PEOPLE that gets done on these special editions. it's not at all my art style. so im always just rolling my eyes and fake vomitting when I see it. ugh. lol

I adore the Fairyloot editions of The Winternight Trilogy. I'm so sad that I didn't have a job at the time and couldn't get them. I don't like the Illumicrate as much, and they're doing each book individually, so they're more expensive.
