Had the Spider Colorway for a bit now: If you have normal width feet, go TTS (for a 1-to-1 fit). If you have wide feet go up half to a full size depending on how severe. The traction is solid and actually gets better over time (after a couple of days depending on how often you hoop). The heel slippage is an easy fix with the top three eyelets being utilized in accordance to how thick or slim your ankle is. Even so, after while the cushion on your ankle and achilles molds to the point where the slippage is non-existent. The cushion is actually very nice and is t as high off the ground as you would think. I feel lower to the ground than the KD16 and the LeBron 20/21 with the standard midsole it comes with. The materials do a great job keeping your foot secure without hindering your performance. It feels like an extension to my game, where I don’t have to worry about my shoe in high performance games. The shoe is actually a favorite of mine, and I pick these up more than my Player1 Plus now. I am a shifty guard at 200 lbs for context. They don’t weigh me down or hurt my feet (they may hurt the first day or so though). A little bit of break-in and these shoes are chef’s kiss. Great review Sammy. Honestly wasn’t experiencing these issues you have been having. I have used the Game 1 for a couple weeks now, it’s a very supportive shoe, and the more you play in it the break in helps in terms of flexibility.

I have the lavender pair and will say if you experience a lot of heel slippage I would suggest unlacing the entire shoe and re-lace them using the second to last eyelet. This gives enough spare lace to do a runners knot near the ankle. I went TTS and it’s almost a 1 to 1 fit not free space for my toes. Would also suggest the support midsole.

Am I the only one that is getting tired of everyone saying that any shoe that has a drop in midsole is "modern day kobes" I mean like its a great compliment but Kobe's are on another League in its self thoo hey I'm not hating but its how I feel 😊😊

They hurt the outer part of my feet so bad,the ankle support or upper support was non existent so had to tie the shoelaces kind of tight and that was very annoying n sometimes it also hurt.dont know if i should give it 1 more shot or just return them

Heel slip because you went up a full size and they are actually not your proper size. I’m a 10.5/11 and got all my SPO shoes in 11 and they hug like a glove.

I have the so black colorway of the player 1 plus and i have to be honest,while i tried to enjoy them they just dont have enough cushion or spring for me. I get that people want court feel but i need actual cushioning. The insoles they came with both feel like bottomed out lunar out the box. I like the traction alot tho but my foot shifts over the footbed on hard lateral cuts. Ill give spo another shot once they move past the drop in midsoles. Good traction but i need better cushion and support. I dont feel confident on landings because the heel feels dead.

I balled in them and they hurt the shix out of my outer feet so gonna return them,impact was ok the wow10 n the zion 3 n the asics nova surge have better impact,there is no ankle support at all i had to tighten the shix out of the shoelaces n still wasnt enough n it was hurting the top of my feet,i will return them,this is why u cant always listen to these reviews 😅
