These Games are 13 years apart and the video is showcasing a comparison between games and it's graphics since then.
Bodycam came out 2024 with Unreal Engine 5 and Battlefield 3 was made on Frostbite Engine in 2011. Crysis 2 came was made with CryEngine 3 and was also released in 2011.
A lot has happened to game graphics since then. Soon we are probably getting super realistic games that we didn't know was a possibility.
All the gameplay was recorded in 4K.

BF3 and Crysis were WAYYYY ahead of it's time with the graphics. Still wonder how they pulled it off

its made in unreal engine so no engine work is needed. Still a great accomplishment though. Crysis runs on cry engine so they made their own engine which requires alot more technical expertise and work. Bf3 runs on the first itterations of frostbite which was also made inhouse. involves much more work. Unreal engine 5 is so easy to work with so I can see how less people can use UE5 and make something incredible. There is no way 2 people could write their own engine like forstbite and cry engine coz that would take absolutely ages.

UE5 does 70% of the work for graphics. The other 30% focused on the game/level design, audio, ect ect

Instead of hiring artists to create assets they buy the assets from artists. So their team is technically only two young people but it has the work of many.

Bodycam's graphics really aren't that impressive on a technical level. Sure there are a ton of fancy effects, lighting camera and character movements etc. but the graphical fidelity isn't anything special

It's nothing like COD. It has slow clunky movement and the gun isn't perfectly aligned to the center of the screen. It's more like Insurgency.

@@poorsvids4738 In comparison to Body Cam I agree, I feel like though COD is in the same situation as battlefield though. Overplayed concepts, with little to no graphical improvements in the last 10 years. I personally fucks with The Finals because its ranked system their introducing is fuckin golden, it preforms like Halo 3's ranked system but its seasonal and at the end of the season you get $$$ for in game skins. No game has ever dared awarding their players with the raw currency.

You simply need to understand that the main difference is how LIGHT is affecting the environment. In bodycam, light is constantly generated and calculated in REAL TIME, in older/most modern games, light and reflections/refractions are simply illusions. They look good in most games and these games run a lot better due to that fact but there's a difference in graphical fidelity when it comes to prefabricated lights/shaders placed mostly manually and light that acts almost as natural as real life light. Correct me if I am wrong :D
