Yup, especially when you look at the shadows of those semitrucks and realize that the sun isn't even shining from a direction where it could interfere with visibility. The only thing you can see with those tacglasses is the blatantly false advertising
Fun fact: Charlie has been wearing the TactGlasses throughout this video. Only those who see the truth through those tactical lenses are able to comprehend another pair of TactGlasses.
I still love how they constantly like to show Nick like he's a veteran or he's in a combat zone without ever actually saying it, because Nick has never been in the armed forces, he's just a fitness expert
For the next Moist Esports tournament you should get the team a pair of tactical glasses, so they can stay prepared for anything, so they can stay tactical.
8:04 the cutaway JUST as the wheel hits the glasses is hilarious! You can see them going to roll forward before almost certainly getting annihilated, but then the next scene its suddenly back on its back again looking perfect. Some pretty damn obvious camera editing here, glorious!
@@literal_otaku Not really: the shot is so zoomed in they could have easily just rolled the tire by itself detached from the actual humvee, which of course would weigh _way_ less.
Hahaha, thanks for pointing that out....I wasn't watching too carefully but didn't notice the first time. Those glasses definitely got obliteratred in that rollover.
I like how when they ran the glasses over, you could literally see the cut when they swapped the broken glasses for intact ones. Alternate take: The glasses are so tactical, they did their own editing, and had their own stunt double.
I like how you can see the glasses get flipped forward as the tire starts running them over, then as it rolls away from them after the cut, they're back to their starting placement, almost as if a new pair was set behind the tire, lol
I noticed that too....they cut it, placed the good pair down and when the truck rolled forward, the tread nudged the glasses. Pure BS but since when have they not been?
Weird... The only easter eggs I see when I put on my tac-glasses are messages like "OBEY" and "CONSUME" and "CONFORM" and "DO NOT QUESTION AUTHORITY" hidden in billboards and magazine ads. I've never seen bald eagle posters while wearing them, but I have seen a lot of weird alien-looking people. Maybe mine are knock offs. Anyways, it's good to hear that Tac Glasses aren't dead. I guess They Live still.
3:49 just so everyone is aware, LCD screens have a polarized film over them, if you take that film off then it just looks like white light... but you can use any polarized sunglasses to see what's on the screen again. I have no idea what they're trying to prove here about the glasses other than they're polarized... like every other pair of sunglasses.
Fun and games aside, polarized glasses really do make a huge difference with sun glare. I drive a lot and they didn't exaggarate too much. Same goes for staring into a body of water.
I love that the 'Tactical' glasses are mirror shades. Cause, almost any professional military I have ever met was really worried that they didn't reflect enough sun. I can't even tell you how many Snipers complain about not blinding every enemy within a mile with a strong glare off their Rambo shades.
Love how they treat being able to see polarized screens like an exclusive massive feature, like not every pair of polarized sunglasses can do it, and like I'm walking around encountering mysterious blank screens all the time
The words “Nick Bolton couldn’t do it” sent shivers down my spine. I shuddered and shook with awe, Nick Bolton saved my Grandma from terrorists by punching through boobanium steel with his bear hands. The fact that his hands didn’t pulverize the tac glasses just goes to show how sturdy those glasses are. In Bolton we trust.
I was wearing these tac glasses while playing call of duty and every time i was flash banged I could see through the blinding effect without any perks always giving me that tacticool advantage
Nick Bolton actually went back in time and made the movie Thirteen Ghosts to advertise these glasses before they even existed. That's commitment to a craft you don't often see.
I LOVE the cut when they run them over with the truck. Very realistic and they definitely DIDNT just place the tac glasses behind the tire for the second shot
When I was really young I always thought Nick Bolton himself was the guy who made these. So I always imagined him in some grand workshop, forging the TacGlasses with the might of Zeus.
He’s absolutely right about looking into water with polarized glasses. You can see substantially more, especially sandbars, reefs, etc. that are slightly deeper than you can see normally. Beach resident here
I went fishing with my dad a few years ago and I had these gigantic polarized glasses. He had some old man glasses that had yellow lenses. I caught like 5 trout and he didn't catch shit because I could see fish floating under the surface and knew where to drop my line and he couldn't.
@@test1122lol they're not poor. in fact, saving money not buying bs is probably a lot smarter. I bet you think logos on your clothes makes you better than other people
I bought a pair a few years ago in one if those "as seen on TV" stores. Just a regular pair of plastic sunglasses, I think they were flexible but that's it. I bought them for the memes and lost them shortly after. But yeah, just some polarized sunglasses.
Let’s talk about how he demonstrated the sunglasses being “crushed” by a sledgehammer by proceeding to increase the surface area in which force is being applied to them with that cinderblock and piece of wood. That’s gotta decrease the force substantially right?
The wood and cinder block are misdirections. There is a very brief cut as he pulls the wood off of it. Very subtle and uses the movement of the wood and concrete pieces to hide the cut.
As someone who wears glasses, most eyeglass stores offer "transition" lenses that would make you look far less goofy than having those ski goggles on your face at all times
Down side of transition, from prior experience, they don’t activate when driving in the car. Even during morning hours where the sun is in shining directly through the windshield.
Yeah but its mad expensive;; and also i always feel like I'm blind for a couple minutes when I go back inside so I stopped asking for it. I recommend clip on sunglasses though, they're actually pretty useful! And like 20 bucks at most. Not the tactical ones though, there are normal ones lol
@@georgeedward602 that’s how his eagle on the screen trick probably works too, they just took the polarising filter off of the screen and since the glasses are polarised they take the place of the polarising filter.
We were suppose to wait until year 3000 for these glasses to release but technology advanced so far that I can probably pinch Charlie’s arm right now without even being in his presence
i went to high school with bolton at lonestar. he was a crazy defense and during one of our games my freshman year he scored half of our 6 td thru interceptions. dude is nuts
the invisible screen thing means that you can remove the polarizing lens from almost any screen and only people who have glasses like these (or any other glasses with polarizing lenses) can see the screen
@@HotDiggityDogg Yeah, neither can I, but I hope he'll stay around for a while longer in a more casual capacity (on GTLive at least, since that's my favorite channel of his).
Damn, 212 celcius degrees boiling water. TacGlases (TM) even defy new laws of physics, because in our unprotected world without tacglasses (TM) liquid water only can heat up to 100 celsius, and every additional energy will be going to vaporize it. (but to remark, gas water can heat up more until it goes into plasma state like somewhere ~3000-5000 celsius).
As a service member, can I just say he’s wearing a piece of uniform from every branch (some outdated) and those glasses wouldn’t even be allowed in uniform anyway 😂
Yeah those glasses cost too much to give a pair to every soldier. It's why they're reserved for the best of the best ; Special Operation Forces, CIA Field Agents, Navy Seal teams, Green Berets, etc.
Wow. Polarized and color contrast enhancing! These are actually great features in sunglasses, but the way they advertise them as if we haven't had these technologies for decades. Just so you know, polarized glasses CAN see more fish in water, that is extremely glared. As long as it is blocking those flashes of light, it actually does let you see more.
I went down to Florida to visit a friend recently. After we came back from the bar he showed me these glasses. Absolutely stunning. It was late and I had to use the restroom; when I opened the door, I saw Charlie goatse himself in the bathtub. "Wow", I thought as he ran over and flipped the glasses up and disappeared into a cloud of smoke. Needless to say, I bought myself a pair. Keep up the good work Charles!
a good pair of polarized sunglasses will actually make it to where you can see through water much better. Almost clear through, unless the water isn't all murky and looks like sweet tea lol. But this isn't anything new by any means, all sunglasses marketed for outdoor/sports use are gonna be polarized. And to be fair, that was a somewhat realistic depiction of being able to see through water with polarized shades, other than it obviously being an edit of a totally different shot
Haha yeah the whole commercial is showing off that they’re polarized. That flag trick on the screen is yet another trick you can set up with polarized glasses
Thats why I mess with Costa del Mar, they're the best for spotting schools of fast swimmers on sunny days where the sun's glare shines horribly back at ya😂😂😂
@@puertoricanboy100 this guy gets it lol. I love my Costas! Yeah they are over priced but, if there is one thing im not cheap about its my rod, reel, and shades lol.
Just bought my tac glasses and once I put them on during this video. I couldn’t believe my eyes! I never would’ve realized a SECOND Charlie saluting behind Charlie the entire video. This is insane
I remember deep sea fishing with my dad and i had the TacGlasses Elite but my father did not. Lucky enough i looked down and caught a 5,000 LB blue fin tuna. They gave me the strength and stealth to reel that bad boy in within 20 seconds. THANK YOU TACGLASSES!
8:50 not even the wood was affected by "being hit with a sledgehammer" because neither it or the sunglasses were "hit" with ANYTHING! If you laid down, had an anvil placed on your chest & someone else hit the anvil with a sledgehammer, you will feel nothing. Literally nothing. All the force gets absorbed by anvil. In this case, all the force goes into smashing the cinder block.
So the way the monitor thing works is they just remove the light polarizing layer from the screen, and since the glasses have a polarizing layer you can't see the screen without the glasses. You can do this with any display by removing that layer and putting it into some glasses.
action lab has a video on how to do it. but it basically ruins your monitor for a party trick, because it permanently becomes white without wearing the glasses.
@@FreakyD83 You don't need any video editing, it's pretty easy to do, I wouldn't be surprised if they did it themselves. You could do it if you wanted, I want to get a cheap monitor to do the same.
I've been rocking the geriatric over-the-glasses sunnies for years. I'm actually pretty stoked about these and think they look rad in a super casual way
This is a real life D&D item wtf. You attune to these sunglasses and it gives you true sight and it can't be destroyed. This is what the follow up D&D movie needs
This is very nostalgic. Reminds me of the bad infomercials that used to air from like 2 to 5am and you'd sit there and watch them.. cause there was nothing better. Cable t.v sucked, holy shit.
4:28 From my extremely limited knowledge it seems to be that the glasses have a polarizer and they just remove the polarization layer from the screen. Thus wearing the glasses completes the screens effect and let you see the image
@@l3ftie578 what are you talking about? Tacglasses are 110% pure patriotic American freedom forged by god himself and bestowed upon us with all the magical customs of capitalism. May god bless this flawless country 🫡🇺🇸🦅🏫🔫
@@l3ftie578 all "sunglasses" are polarized. thats how they filter light in the first place. that trick probably works with any pair of sunglasses in your room
I actually got a pair of the flip up ones from my grandpa and they’re unironically kinda great, you could probably weld with those things ain’t gonna lie. I’ve abused the hell outta them too and they’re still not broken
My uncle broke his ribs over New Year's last year. While I was taking care of him, he had basic ground cable - and I saw a bunch of horrible Bell & Howell products sponsored one right after the other, including a James Earl Jones Prayer Clock. It's the real-life Tim and Eric's Cinco.
I'm really dumb apparently because I don't see the cut. Where is the splice at? Edit: I was looking at the first time with the regular truck, god the big tanker is fucking obvious.
@@MrDrProfJMF All jokes aside; yes, it is shameless. Former military are specifically loathsome for putting their name & service behind a garbage product being sold to, more than likely, civilians on an infomercial. This is a severe lack of integrity.
Some dude with a backwards baseball cap sitting in his truck and wearing one of these is probably taking a selfie to put on Facebook at this very moment
i like how they edited out the part where they crush the tac glasses with the big truck and inserted another clip where the camera and wheel jumps ahead.
I love how so many of these POV shots are literally just the same ones as in the original tek glasses ads, but now with a png of normal glasses put on top
