0:59 "It's fucking late, though, I don't know if I want to watch all of it...I'll start it." That's how I usually end up watching whole seasons of Kitchen Nightmares
I kinda respect how confident he is while talking about only eating greasy food like it's normal 😆. Like I love greasy food but I am also well aware better food exists lol
@@anthonymigliaccio3492 We all think you are amazing... ... Though would prefer it if you dropped this shit. No one cares for your 12 year olds insults and honestly, the whole 'kys' thing is just showing you to be an absolute awful person with a complete lack of character. Like a walking shit sack spewing out reddit memes. Which is hilarious considering the screen-name of the person you're responding to. I was wrong though, we all think you fucking suck and that you really need to sort your shit out.
"I actually prefer frozen food over the fresh restaurant shit" "Arent scallops supposed to be rubbery? Every scallop i've ever had was rubbery" "Do I just eat at shit restaurants? Half the things I eat are full of grease" Yes.
"I actually prefer frozen food over the fresh restaurant shit" "Arent scallops supposed to be rubbery? Every scallop i've ever had was rubbery" "Do I just eat at shit restaurants? Half the things I eat are full of grease" We see Charlie's live realization that he's been eating shit food his entire life
The best comment on this video of kitchen nightmares is “I think joe has a micro carrot between his legs” and to be honest I’m shocked Charlie didn’t make that joke
Coming from someone who actually worked as a fishmonger, I can 100% confirm that freezing an oyster is the absolute worst PRACTICAL thing you can do for it’s taste.
Another fun thing is when restaurants don’t know how to take the bones out of their fillets 🙄 that’s like the first thing you learn about fish in a kitchen
I'm a pleb vegetarian and I feel this had to be common sense, Oysters are mostly water, and so by freezing and defrosting them you've basically got this dehydrated rubber
Sadly Charlie that scene where the owner is insulting and complaining at his staff then starts being nice when the customers show up is actually a thing a lot of bosses do in real life. Experienced it a couple of times myself with my boss
The reason Gordon is so hard on people is because the people he works with are meant to be professionals and are often very full of themselves. The guy running this restaurant is charging $35 for greasy, rubbery food and Gordon is angry, reasonably so I’d say. I think Charlie should probably go out and try some decent restaurants
Charlie, I assure you that while this show is cut dramatically, the restaurant industry is full of human jokes like this one. Gordon should have slapped the taste out of this dudes’ mouth.
I actually worked at a pizza restaurant in Dallas. The place barely gets customers outside of parties that are held by friends of the owner, and the owner thinks the best solution isn’t to move to a better location that isn’t full of homeless people deep in the West End of Dallas, but instead do tacky shit like open mic night for the neighborhood SoundCloud rappers and karaoke night on Friday. Also the night manager was an entitled fucking asshole that would threaten people with false termination thinking that’ll make them work faster and was incredibly homophobic. And the cooks didn’t even do dishwashing when they didn’t have a dishwasher so I would just see a disgusting mess of unclean dishes in the dish pit that I would spend hours cleaning while also bussing tables. So seeing this dumbass that Gordon had to deal with in this video is quite accurate to how many people somehow function in the restaurant industry.
I love the way Gordon speaks to these failing restaurant owners. In a lot of these episodes you can literally see the excitement in the eyes of the staff, especially the waiting staff, who have dealt with this shit for too long
Coming from a food service perspective (I've been in food service for 4 years now) there's a certain amount of guilt that comes with serving food that you see get prepared with no thought of the quality for the customer's health. It's concerning and really makes you question what you put into your own body
I feel you shouldn't work in any restaurant, ever, if you feel literally any amount of guilt. I see only two extremes: super friendly non-toxic family-owned establishments or absolute nightmares with staff looking dead inside and resigned to be just a drones to serve substandard food.
A more accurate title to the vid could be: *Poor man watches a pro chef make decent food and becomes enthralled in denial about his own eating habits, while jokingly critiquing a profreshtional chef make some dank food*
Dude your whole comment is a word for word script for the Metal Gear Solid V Kaz Monologue in mission 2 When I was clicking to ask what the fuck you were doing posting that here it showed your actual comment. Dude what
Some fresh lettuce, tomatoes and maybe s pickle or two is perfect it completes the burger imo. People who don't have any of that and just have top bun burger pattie and bottom bun have zero taste buds. All the picky eaters I know are picky because their parents cooked for them what every they wanted as a child which was normally shit. E.g. chicken nuggets fries and other crap like that 😂
@@QasimAli-nk8gy think it's more about health than opinion, if you enjoy just eating chicken nuggets and fries all day that's fine, some people like to smoke crack and finger their butthole all day but doesn't mean it's good for you
You know, Critikal, I thought I had you all figured out. I thought, this, this is a down to Earth guy, this is a guy I could be friends with. Then you say this bullshit about my man lettuce on a burger?
Nothing is better than laying a juicy grilled patty on a toasted bun, slapping a couple slices of tomato down, cracking a head of iceberg lettuce- then immediately throwing the iceberg in the garbage. Iceberg is garbage-tier lettuce and I'm sure Charlie's lettuce hate is tied to inferior food. Step up to Romaine or Butterhead.
Kakashkai Precisely. You need that crunch, you need that opposing texture to literally everything else on your burger. I get my burgers with lettuce, ketchup and mayonnaise usually. If you really want a god tier burger, the secret is a fried egg on top.
I wish Charlie watched Amy’s Baking episode, that one was crazy. Also Charlie should watch Bar Rescue, same premise as Kitchen Nightmare but with bars and I would argue that Jon is a bit meaner than Gordon as he actually breaks stuff at the bar and always publicly yells at the people who deserve it. Plus Jon has more successes in bars than Gordon with restaurants. I think Charlie should watch the one with the Tiki Bar in Austin that was infested with bugs. That owner is the biggest asshole (in my opinion) ever on the show’s history.
To be fair though, people come to bars to get drunk, and usually when someone is drunk they're happy enough to not complain about a places standards. Also a lot of people will skip eating out at a fine dining place in lou of getting wasted at a local bar. So jon definitely has a lower bar when it comes to keeping businesses alive as opposed to gordon who only does restaurants.
For those of you who don't know yet, i did some little digging while i was on spot watching kitchen nightmare episodes non-stop, and this is actually not fake, Joe was so narcissist and high up on Ego that his restaurant has only 1 star ratings on reviews, and the restaurant was closed down months after filming, he even filed a lawsuit on gordon's crew because he claims they stole a recipe from his restaurant, This guy was a complete A-class Delusional owner with mighty high ego, but in reality he was just a low standard owner with a fake bistro,
Yeah I was gonna say, Kitchen Nightmares is a show that has been on air for a long time and still makes good money and Gordon Ramsey is a world renown chef. These people do not need to steal from a place like that to pay the bills.
Thats like my grandfather but with his construction business. He claims to run things really well and is a genius business man but he's a complete moron with running anything, kept firing people, and wouldn't pay his workers he would just take them out drinking. A guy fell off his roof when I was a kid cause my grandfather let him work high but he still claims to be loved by everyone and that he was so successful with his business. He use to own two big apartment buildings and he lost both cause he would just let people skip rent and he didnt pay bills. His ego is unwarrantedly through the roof.
Notice how the staff were all excited. They know that their hour of liberation is at hand when prole superhero Gordon Ramsay comes in to bash their elitist bourgeoisie boss
And Gordon knows this. One waitress was told to not tell him about a certain menu item and she did, he ordered it, and when the owner asked her why she did it she gave a shit eating grin. This day is truly Deliverance.
This video is a perfect example of someone who has never worked in the restaurant business or someone who knows very little about food. When there is either a management problem or a food problem, customers know and 9/10 (unless they're like charlie and have a bad taste in food) they leave and don't return. Since servers make their income primarily on tips (cause 2.50 and hour is hardly enough for a candy bar these days), less returning customers means less tips. It is a proven statistic that returning customers tend to tip more because A: they become familiar with the staff/place/food. B: their experience over time becomes a phycological investment due to their enjoyment put into the place, hence why most people can name their favorite restaurant and often return to said place happier. With shit management comes shit food which in turn turns away 90 odd percent of your potential customers who then, very often, take it out on your front of house staff (i.e server, bussers, ect) making everyone stressed and often leading to a high turnover rate (people quitting and being hired) and a large lack of loyalty to the restaurant as a whole (hence the shit talking behind the owners back). Also, lettuce is a STAPLE on most burgers for a reason. Most people enjoy it. I love you Charlie, and this is less of a rant and more of a example on why things are going to shit, also to educate you.
kitchen nightmares be like: restaurant owners: i need help pls :( gordon ramsey: heres whats wrong.. restaurant owners: youre wrong i make the best food
A simple google search of these restaurant's yelp reviews will reveal that most of these aren't fake at all. people really are this delusional and pathetic.
@@TheItalianFun I do believe it is fake to an extent, but its very clear these aren't completely fake. If it was, the place probably wouldn't be shut down, and the owner probably wouldn't sue the crew.
Never seen Charlie be this confidently wrong before :/ Even dissing Gordon's physique was confusing considering Gordon would destroy Charlie in combat while cooking at the same time.
im pretty sure the point of this show is to criticize restaurants for being a more expensive version of frozen or microwaved food. Like the whole point of it is you pay more than usual to get cooked food
I mean, even frozen food can be good. You just gotta let it thaw out for some time before cooking it, and not all food should be frozen either. Stuff like freshly cut fries that have been sitting in the freezer? If you're baking them(the most healthy way to cook fries IMO) then you can actually just put them on the sheet frozen and cook them for the allotted time at the specified temperature, add some salt and maybe even some pepper afterwards, let 'em cool off a little, then you got some well baked fries.
@@snazzyjovialwyrm3314 Yeah, I mean it can taste really good, but these restaurants dead ass just take them out of the freezer and into a microwave or a shitty high heat stove
Thing is if you want to eat frozen food thats fine . If you wanna pay 100$ for a frozen tomato on a plat thats fine its your money . But the problem is those restaurants call themself the best when they serve shit food like if the owner was like : yes we serve bad food i know it but i wanna keep doing that because i want to . No one will have a problem its better than listening to the guy thinking hes good while cutting raw onions in an onion soup
So funny story, Joe ended up firing most of the staff not too long after the episode aired, and he sued Gordon for which he settled for just over $1K American. He re-branded the restaurant but sold the place only a few years later for about $140k, but this was a while ago though, so I can't say I have any idea where Joe has taken his business since then. It's interesting whenever these people finally sell out and then fade into obscurity and nobody ever hears from them again. Even if he ran a shitty restaurant, I think Joe will forever live in our hearts.
Fresh scallops aren't rubbery at all, same with squid (i.e. calamari). I remember the first time I had calamari made with fresh squid thinking, "Holy shit, THIS is what this is supposed to be like?"
9:05 “‘’Gordon Ramsey is a blackbelt?’’ NO he is not! Where are these myths coming from?!? ‘’Gordon Ramsey once fought a dragon and then turned it into the best French onion soup the medieval times had ever seen’’ ...... pfff... Alright, I’m wrong.”
Ya know, im not really feeling Joe on this episode, he was really powerful last episode. Then main character Gordon had to enter, the manga is better tbh. This dub isnt even all that.
I remember watching the whole episode and I can say that without a doubt, that he is the worst Kitchen Nightmare restaurant owner of all time. Yes, even worse then Amy's Baking Company.
Every Kitchen Nightmares episode summed up: Owners: our restaurant is failing, we need help Gordon: *helps by pointing out issues in need of fixing Owners: my restaurant is perfect, you don't know what you're talking about Been subbed for over 2 years, trust me I know hahaha
Biggest complaint any restaurant owner has when first starting? Not enough people coming in. Gordon: We are going to change the atmosphere, change the food, change this whole scene! It'll be great! Owner: I don't want to change a thing. Please just bring me more customers you customer bringing genius.
"The restaurant suffered bad reviews on both Yelp and TripAdvisor, and many complaints were about the owner. Owner Joe Nagy permanently closed his restaurant in February 2016, and the building the restaurant was in was reportedly sold for $140,000."
No idea why people harp on Gordon for being rude as he is, people he's being rude to not only deserve that through their lack of concern for anything, but also wouldn't understand any other way, otherwise they wouldn't be in that mess to begin with
@Yeah Right have you watched any of the episodes where restaurant owners show him respect and listen to his advice? Gordon treats them with that same respect.
To be fair if Charlie regularly cooked for himself then it would kinda make sense why his tastebuds may not be... up to par (I still love Mr Moisty, plus I can't really cook for shit myself)
Losing all respect for putting lettuce on a burger? Hard to believe coming from the guy who says chicken wings and chicken nuggets are the same thing and that nuggets are better. But other than that, love you Charlie :D
@@kalan60 Yeah, but the whole thing is that there isnt really such a thing as boneless chicken wings. The meat comes from the breast and then it is breaded (chicken nuggets). Where as the meat from wings is dark and has the skin and isn't actually just pulverized and shaped white meat. Hence why they are 2 completely different things. Anywho, sorry for the little rant. I just feel very strongly about this subject.
"who cares if the food is bad" I do. it's embarrassing to bring shitty food to a table for a person that PAID. a person that was willing to come to my place of work to and spend their money.
I mean, its pretty clear Charlie has shit taste from this video, thinking scallops are supposed to be rubbery and food is supposed to be soaked in grease.
This idea you have where you live stream and just take random suggestions from your chat it’s genius idk how unique it is cuz I don’t watch live streams but I’ve come to love watching your commentary you’re hilarious
The early UK vs Fox owned US nightmares are so different there's nothing in common really! He's actually just straightforward, but for American TV he had to be this silly character, and when he wasn't allowed to end his contract with fox as he just hated what he did, he made it conditional they payed for the restaurant renovations, as beforehand he payed out of pocket.
