I'm curious if Rising Voltage will make a return. One, cause it will give Pincurchin a stronger move and maybe see some play, and two, if Game Freak are insane enough to give it to Miraidon.

@@pride_mitochondria3921Johto remakes next year. The last Johto remake was in gen 4. Double 4 is 8, add 1 to offset from the gen 4 remakes and you get 9. This process can be used to find the generation of all of the 3rd remakes. Just double the original gen for 2nd remakes. Only exception is FRLG.

⁠⁠@@thatonebonkchoyguyi use him a lot I think he’s really solid, fake out and parting shot is a classic. Sludge bomb and psychic for his offensive moves and since he is not respected sometimes he just picks up a KO. Sludge wave seems good to next to a steel partner (skarmory is coming and he can fake out to help skarmory get up an iron defense too)

Glimmora with meteor beam is going to be an absolutely cracked lead an instant 1 shot on anything It’s just better Nihilego, and with toxic debris and motal spin you can poison everything on the field and get a fast hex mon to clean up the game

tera ghost curse as a way to inflict DoT after you successfully setup your defensive boosts is a strat I've wanted to see purely because it's only possible with this gimmick, and I'd love to see Ting Lu get Curse cause it feels like such a good candidate for that

@@MaaarrrrkThe difference is that they’re entirely unrelated to eachother outside of appearance (keyword). Visually they’re similar however genetically they’re different (lore wise). As a result them not having the same ability is normal. Just cause one has arena trap doesn’t mean the other has to have it, it’s why Toedscruel doesn’t have Liquid Ooze or Rain Dish. And even then the main issue is that Wugtrio has bad moves and bad abilities. It doesn’t need Arena trap to be good, it’s like giving shadow tag to Ariados, it sucks but giving it Shadow Tag won’t make it better.

you can very easily not use rapid spin on excadrill and run triple axel tbh. it lacked true edge quake coverage ( this was totally for singles mb) . yeah in VGC you really want rock flinch so it ends up not being necessary at all but incase you want to rng yourself instead of yourself and your opponent run triple axel (if it even ends up getting it)

@@AutumnOwlex honestly the reason is because of something peculiar I use a lead kabutops set with weak armor, sash, swords dance, waterfall, leech life, and rapid spin It's an attacker that removes hazards, hits incredibly hard, can heal to keep the sash useful, and with one dance and one weak armor boost, has a decent likelihood to just sweep out of the gate, especially with waterfall flinch factored in No other Pokemon can perform that role But if quaquavil got drain punch, it could With swords dance, drain punch, knock off, rapid spin, with moxie, it could potentially do the same job even better, since it can slot in knock off for ghosts Though that's just an assumption, weak armor is incredibly powerful and useful for allowing speed and attack boosts, plus flinching As a fighting type connoisseur though...GIMME GIMME GIMME

Hisuian Braviary with Tinted Lens could be a great Expanding Force user, able to hit everything but Dark types neutrally, which get slammed by its similarly unresisted Hurricanes. Its speed stat means means it could function in either Trick Room or Tailwind, and it even gets access to both moves. It wouldn’t be the best Expanding Force user but it would probably be a viable one

sandy shocks could be the most interesting. rising voltage, scorching sands, electro web, meteor beam, (psychic noise?). 101 base speed plus boost on sun teams could see some use. Other than that, psychic noise could be interesting as a way to turn off leftovers, berries and draining effects whilst doing damage, could see VGC play depending on the base power/meta.

I'm so salty that they got rid of Signal Beam, I will NEVER forgive Game Freak for making that decision. I ran it on Electric types all the time so they could smack Grass types without sacrificing a Hidden Power slot. It felt like losing a grandparent. It was so uncalled for, and so mean.

I feel like Sandy Shocks could cook if it gets Meteor Beam. I had a set Idea that would be Protosynthesis speed, Power Herb Meteor Beam, Electroweb, Scorching Sands/Earth Power and either protect or another attacking move.

Hatterene is only very barely bulkier than Armarouge. From a 383 special attack, a normal type Judgement deals 44.3 - 52.5% to uninvested Hatt, while it deals 45.3 - 53.3% to uninvested Armarouge. Giving both 252 HP widens the gap to 35.5 - 42.1% vs 37.7 - 44.3%.

My hope is that Iron Crown is a special attacker, like inverting Iron Leaves' stats (Physical bulk, special damage, either 104 speed or 70 speed). If it is and it gets STAB Expanding Force + Stab Tachyon Cutter (I'm assuming it's 40-50 power on each hit), then with Indeedee to set terrain and then Follow Me, it's able to threaten like. Every good mon right now. Tachyon Cutter hits Mane and Chien-Pao, Expanding Force hits Brian and Urshifu, all I can think of that it'd be scared of would be like. maybe Ogerpon Fire? Granted I'm still new to vgc so I might be overlooking something dumb. That said I love the future paradoxes most of the time and Cobalion is a favorite legendary, so I'm psyched for Iron Crown regardless

Probably gonna get corrected, but where I'm watching the video right now the reason why no pokemon is shown to learn Triple Axel in gen 9 is because the filter was set for Pokemon that learn both Psychic and Triple Axel. Idk tho

Electro drift is 10bp lower in terrain and ohkos every weak neutral pokemon anyways,miraidon getting rising voltage would make no difference as electro drift doesn't become weak as fuck outside terrain in exchange for 10 less bp on a move that's already extremely strong.

i think youre forgetting the fact that rising voltage doubles in terrain but electro drift gets the 1.3 times boost from terrain making it 130 instead of 100 and no the 1.3 times terrain boost doesnt stack with the double power from terrain on rising voltage.Also,you never run out of pp in vgc games so it having lower pp is irrelevant.

@@charles2183 Miraidon's ability Boosts every single sp.Attack moves it has, no matter the moves type. the move will still get a 1.3333x Boost That's why Electric Tera, Electro Dirft Isn't stronger Than a Un-Tera rising voltage Miraidon Can't Electro Drift, OHKO Flutter without an Electric Tera... But it can with rising voltage, it won't need to tera Trust me i do a lot of battle testing *and also were talking about a Modest Miraidon.*

@@pharaohonthetrack9544 i wasnt talking about the electric terrain boost not the ability boost.I know that the ability boosts all moves,the question is can you confirm that rising voltage gets the 1.3x boost from the terrain on top of doubling in power.Also,showdown calcs are a little fuzzy on move interactions that dont exist so keep that in mind,miraidon killing flutter with drift depends on the evs on both miraidon and flutter not just the nature.

@@charles2183 Flutter doesn’t have to invest in any Sp.Def to survive a regular Electro drift, I’ve already tested in battle, flutter will still be in the yellow Here’s a funny fact tho Tera’d Electro Drift can OHKO Iron hands in double battles if it’s not holding an Assault vest and if it has an AV it will still be in the red 😂😂😂 I use that strat during the first round when it tries to fake out, But I’m covert cloak
