I tried fostering a Pitt but failed. 12 yrs later I still have her, loving on her like the first day. She was the missing piece in my life. Now her paw print is embedded in my soul.

Can we all agree that the shelter deserves some kudos for keeping the 2 of them together? That was very conscientious of them. 👍😊🤗

I wish all the animals at the shelter and the streets find a loving home.

I’ve been tempted several times to keep some of the dogs I foster. When you pick them up from the shelter most of them are a wreck. They have a multitude of health problems from lack of care. What I enjoy most about fostering is watching the transformation from sick, undernourished, and beat down to a happy, healthy, loving dog. 🙂

I'm so happy these two still have each other and a human who can give them security, love and care but they know that they still have each other. How precious is that. They really do deserve to always be happy. Thanks Dodo 💗

I'm a 55 year old man, who loves dogs more than I love people in most cases. I was crying from the start, and cried more at the end when they found the right place for them. Sooo very happy for them. May they live a long happy life!!!

These poor dogs seemed to have been abused and had separation anxiety. I've seen it in two dogs that I fostered. Their owner had passed away and his son literally "kicked " them out of the house. It was witnessed by a neighbor when I went and inquired. But the son denied ever hitting them and the neighbor was scared of him also. So when I called the police only a report was taken and animal abuse department declined an investigation. But the son made the mistake of pushing my wife to the ground after the police officer left. I didn't say a word, marched up to my wife and helped her to the truck. Then as he cursing me, I turn about face and immediately closed distance and give him a 20 second lesson of respect . The dogs lived with us and were loved very much. I'm now old and waiting for my time. It's ok. I've had a long life. So glad these guys found a great home. And to those that abuse animals or a child , well you will face God someday. Roman's 14:12. God bless and be safe.

I will never understand the people who think that dogs are disposable. The bonds that they have with us, it's so strong that when you abandon them it's as if you've abandoned a three-year-old child of yours. They don't understand what they did wrong to be in the situation that they're in, why you don't love them anymore, why they can't come home... It's truly one of the most heartless things a human being can do. Thank you so much for taking these two beautiful souls in and nursing them back to health.

I've got tears in my eyes. Thank you. I have had dogs most of my life, even took a dog to Guam. My husband & I were stationed on Adak Island Alaska. That was the only place we didn't have a dog. My current dog is Layla & a shelter rescue. Currently live in San Diego.

We have fostered dogs for about 3 or 4 years. I remember each and every one of them, their names, their personality. We eventually ended up foster failures. With the first adopted dog we still fostered another, sometimes even 2 fosters. Then the second foster failure happened. I have to say that in my own experience, fostering dogs is the most satisfying thing I have done in my life. I knew that the dogs we fostered were probably saved from being euthanized. They all found loving families. I can so recommend it.....

I had a pair of of pits in the 90’s. The female was first and was about three years older than the male. She raised him and was always his boss. He died at about 7yo from cancer. She gave up on life and died two months later from the loss. They both were wonderful dogs.
